The tortoishell kit felt better after letting that out, especially since this lady didn't seem to judge at all. "Uh, thanks. Again, I means. We are friends, though what's your name? I don't think ya said..? And I do wanna be friends with Rosepaw again, I just... don't want to make things worse, that's all. But your right. I should focus on the good times, not the bads. Suppose I put it offs long enough anyways." She stood, glancing at the entrance to the nursery.

Weepingwillow noticed the kit seemed to wanna go outside. "Weepingwillow" The queen introduced kindly. "Things will get better, trust me." Weepingwillow mewed gently. Nodding for Dawnkit to be outside. "It's going to rain later, be sure to be in before then. Maybe think of a way to apologize to Rosepaw? Just to make things even, don't think to hard and if ya need help I'm always in here." Weepingwillow finished, setting the rock aside and sitting down her nest with a gentle grunt.

Dawnkit nodded. "Bye Weepingwillow," she mewed. Quickly dragging her rock back to her nest--at least it was getting easier--she padded outside. Even ifs I don't find Thorns, I can always make another friend! Turning back to watch the queen settle down in her moss bed, a flicker of orange caught her eye. A bright amber butterfly fluttered down, then flew out of sight. Dawnkit purred. It was gonna be a good day.

She/her - 68 moons
Massive brown bengal molly with amber eyes
A robin dangled from the brown warrior's jaws as she returned to camp from her hunt, initially heading towards the freshkill pile to drop off her catch before pausing herself. She stood there for a heartbeat, tailtip swishing slowly to and fro before she turned, instead padding towards the nursery. Momentarily her massive statue blocked the light from outside before she'd slipped inside, letting the red-chested bird fall to the ground.
Hawkcatcher cleared her throat as her yellow eyes scanned the den. "I brought you kits a robin if you want to know what it tastes like." Mice and voles were ubiquitous so most kits would have at some point gotten a mouthful of that, but perhaps this would be a new kind of prey for them. Of course, she could have brought something even rarer like one of the fish that she had recently learnt to catch, but those were generally not liked.
@Neptune.
Dreams swam in Hollowkit's head as he napped shallowly, the Green-Leaf heat making him drowsy and sluggish. He'd been opposed to a nap when his mother suggested one, but as soon as he lay down and put his chin on his paws, sleep had come easily. Although he did dream, by the time yellow green eyes blinked open once more at the smell of fresh prey, Hollowkit no longer remembered anything he'd been dreaming about.
Yawning thickly, the brown tabby tom leveled a half lidded gaze on Hawkcatcher, who stood over a bird with a red belly. She'd called it a robin, and though Hollowkit had never tasted much bird before, he felt his mouth watering.
"All for me?" He said with a yawn and a stretch, pushing himself out of his nest that felt too big without his mother or sister asleep in it beside him. He bent forward to cautiously sniff at the feathers and sneezing as they tickled his nose. "Ough," he complained. "Too feathery," he continued, scowling down at the bird.

It did not take long before a curious pair of kitten eyes found the piece of freshkill, and Hawkcatcher's attention followed Hollowkit as they cautiously leaned towards it. Hm, cute. A twitch of her whiskers and a small rise of the corner of her mouth that was almost exclusively reserved for younger cats and her former apprentices. "Not quite, anyone is welcome to have a bite of it."
It hardly made her smile fade when Hollowkit scowled at the bird, and bending down, Hawkcatcher unsheathed a claw to carefully part the feathers. "You have to dig past them, like with the fur of a mouse." Uncharacristically gently she removed a few feathers to show the kit. "It's almost easier with feathers than with fur, see? They are larger and easier to get out of the way, even your claws might not catch on them when you hunt." A flick of her paw sent the feather dancing a bit up in the air. Then it was as if the warrior realized the unusual warmth that she was displaying and a wave of uncomfortability flowed through her pelt as she straightened back up into a sitting position. "You'll learn about that when you're an apprentice, an other things too."
Push past the feathers? Weird. And if they were easy for claws to slip on, why bother hunting them? Surely it would make more sense to go after easier to catch prey, that way they could be sure the clan would be fed instead of going after prey that might get away from them. Warriors were confusing, honestly!
Still, Hollowkit was hungry, and Hawkcatcher had showed how to get to the flesh beyond the feathers, so unsheathing his claws, the tabby parts the feathers, white toes sticking out starkly against the meeting of brown and red feathers, and he reaches the flesh beyond. It tastes... interesting. There's really not a great way to describe it, but it's fresh, and melts in his mouth almost.
Making a hum of acceptance, Hollowkit turns titanite eyes onto the warrior once more, head tilted to the side as she spoke about apprenticeship and how he'd learn all about different prey or whatever. Tail tip flipping up and down behind him, he frowns.
"What kind of other things?" It's a shot in the dark, and there's no guarantee she'll answer him, but Hollow is still trying to gather as much information on the clan as he can in preparation for the day he rules the world, so anything's worth knowing.

Weepingwillow was sitting in her nest, the blue and grey furred Molly sat neatly, her belly poking out from each side as her kits squirmed and grew day by day. Sighing gently the blue eyes queen realized the nests were getting a bit roughed up, with all the kits out playing and being watched by there mothers, Weepingwillow poked her head out from the nursery. Spotting Morningpaw, the queen gently called out, "Morningpaw? If your not to busy do you mind helping clean out the nursery?" the gentle meow ended as the queen watched the tom in hopes he would come help her. Weepingwillow had gathered kit slim covered moss into a corner, no apprenetice needed to touch the slime of a kit that wasn't there's. Taking the ball of moss out and placing it outside the entrance. Weepingwillow flicked her long grey tail, blue hues anticipating the apprentice's response as she kept a careful ear out for the confirmation or denial.

Morningpaw flicked an ear as he heard his name called from the nursery. He didn't really like the nursery being honest with the random people looking into his thoughts. It reminded him of his family, and while he still had Wolfpaw, it hurt to think about the rest of his siblings and mom who were all just gone. He wasn't even sure if they were dead, they were just no where, poof, nada. He couldn't tell which would hurt more to know, honestly. But the point was, he wasn't the most excited for what the calling would entail. He also hated that. His name. But that was for entirely different reason that he would really rather not get into right now. So when he was asked to clean, the apprentice sighed but he wasn't going to tell the queen no, he was mean yes, but he wasn't rude and understood that this wasn't really something to be mean or rude about.
"Uhh, sure, cleaning... I can do that." Though he didn't want to. Morningpaw was sure that Weepingwillow already knew that though. It wasn't like there were many apprentices that were excited to clean things. Honestly that'd be more concerning than if they didn't to be fair. He padded over and then into the den and looked around. It's been awhile. Green eyes couldn't help but make their way over to the nest that he used to sleep in. There were plenty of other scents in it now. New ones, masking his and his siblings and his mom's. It shouldn't have, but it made some anger bubble up in his chest. Ugh. Morningpaw shook out his fur to shake the thoughts and feelings. Instead he took to rolling up the stale moss from the many nests, "Where should I start piling up the old stuff?" He asked the queen with a glance her way over his shoulder.

"Just outside the den will be fine. The farther from the kits the less mess to clean." Weepingwillow meowed gently. Watching the apprentice carefully before turning to clean her own nest. "So many kits....." Weepingwillow mumbled grumpily. Flicking her tail Weepingwillow gathered up another ball of moss, "I appreciate you helping. Not many apprentice's respect queens anymore." Weepingwillow meowed, her tone obviously awkward with the situatuonship. Weepingwillow hoped she hadn't brought up anything bad. She just wished that she wasn't so awkward with others. Perhaps this conversation could lighten up her mood...... or the apprentices. Depending on which way it went.
