“Thanks,” Heroneye breathed as Caveclaw finished the hare off. Hunting with another cat wasn’t usually how she went about things, but it certainly had its advantages in some cases.

Heroneye glanced at the sun, which had moved considerably since she had left camp. She had been out longer than intended. Still, though, the day had been rather fruitful. She had caught a fair few pieces of prey with Caveclaw; any outing that brought back prey was at least a partial victory to Heroneye.

“We’ve caught a few pieces of prey now,” said Heroneye. “Perhaps we should return to the river to collect what we have before returning to camp, before it gets to be too much to carry. Besides, since one can't properly burry prey here, I think it would be best to retrieve the fish now before some scavengers do.”

Caveclaw’s ear twitched as Heroneye spoke.
Yes, it would be good to head back now, wouldn’t it?

Caveclaw nodded, picking up the hare before she made her way back toward the river to get what they had left.

Silentstrike seemed to glide through the territory with how stealthily his paws moved, leading the way to a small clearing he had scouted out while keeping an eye on the territory. As soon as he got to a good place in the clearing he stopped moving and waited for Dusklion.

Wolfsong lead her small party out of camp and off towards a part of the territory she was more familiar with.
At least Moonfrost and I had a chance to look around for a while up here. I remember seeing plants like Mistyshard described.
Sure enough, after padding over a couple of the smaller rises, she found what she was looking for, a grouping of slightly spiky shrubs with blueish-purple berries growing.
"Right, here we are. I'm going to pick some of these if you two will look around for the coltsfoot? It looks kind of like a dandelion, but with white or yellow flowers," she said to the pair, relaying the description Mistyshard had given her.

"Um......" Starrypaw looked around, "What's a dandelion?" *she has seen one, but does not know what the name is*

Wolfsong chuckled lightly, her silver striped fur rippling in the sunlight. "Come here, Starrypaw, and I will show you," she replied as she stood and padded to a nearby flower. She pointed out a small cluster of flowers, yellow with many narrow petals making a poof at the end of the stems, accompanied by a round, white fluffy poof that looked almost translucent. "These are dandelions. You've probably seen them around before," the molly added with a soft smile. "The flower you want is similar, but flatter, and wont have the white poofs with it."
She stood and padded back to the juniper bush, carefully snipping off berries with her teeth.

Frogfur ran over to the other cats. How could she not have seen those? Anything else we're supposed to gather? She asked, her whiskers twitching and tail flicking.

"Oooh...." those looked like the stuff she used to call Kingspikes. She found some, pretty soon, and gathered some.

As she gently pushed the juniper berries into a small pile, she shook her head at Frogfur's question.
"No, that's everything Mistyshard asked for, but if you happen to find any cobwebs I'm sure she can always use more," Wolfsong replied before carefully picking up the berries in her mouth. She waved her tail at her patrolmates to signal that she was ready to head back and waited for each of them to confirm that they were ready as well.

Heroneye walked with Caveclaw back to the river. “I think I can carry both of these, since they’re quite small,” she said, scooping the fish up off the ground. Well, she wouldn’t want to be overly burdensome, right? She had already troubled Caveclaw enough, anyway, with her subpar hunting abilities...

“Thank you for joining me today,” Heroneye offered as they made their way back to camp, briefly putting down the prey to speak. “If it weren’t for you, I doubt I would have been able to catch this much in such a short period of time.” She wanted Caveclaw to know that she really did appreciate her help. Besides, a willingness to tolerate Heroneye’s presence was itself a feat in her book.
