Beetlepaw wanted to cheer but being mute, she couldn't. Getting Sheepaw's attention, with signs the ridiculously tiny ten moon old told her deaf sister what had just happened.

Sheeppaw cheered Mousepaw! Acornpaw! Tawnypaw! Beachpaw! Goatpaw! Poppypaw!

Mantiskit cheered Mousepaw! Acownpaw! Tawnypaw! Beachpaw! Goatpaw! Poppypaw! She winced at her speech mistakes but it was their big day. She wasn't going to not cheer for them. That would be rude and not very nice.

Mapledawn blinked in surprise. Her? An apprentice? After all that mess she would never have expected to be given an apprentice. This was a huge honour for her. She smiled at Acornpaw, her eyes shimmering with delight.

Kits started coming up. And of course Bumblestar's sibling was, well, being themselves. Her tail twitched and she leaned over the edge of the Stormcrest, staring down at them to say flatly, "Mudhound. Bumblestar was kind of glad she'd missed out on the big genes. It seemed like those just brought some sort of craziness with them.

In any case. Six kits here, two missing. Not her problem. "Mousekit, Acornkit, Tawnykit, Beachkit, Oatkit, and Poppykit, thank you for actually showing up on time. Until you finish up you're training, you'll be Mousepaw, Acornpaw, Tawnypaw, Beachpaw, Oatpaw, and Poppypaw.

"Mousepaw, your mentor'll be Cloverdove. Acornpaw, you're with Mapledawn." Maybe having an apprentice to look after would teach the warrior some individuality. "Tawnypaw, you're with Rateye. Beachpaw, you're training with Drizzlenight. Oatpaw, Willowstripes, and Poppypaw, you're with Lioncrest."

She turned her attention to the nursery. "Butterflykit, Berrykit! If I don't see you out here you're getting skipped over!"

Use Ctrl/Command+F on the allegiances page if you're not sure who roleplays the mentor/apprentice.

Absent kits have until my next post tomorrow to show up before they get skipped.

Butterflykit bounded up. So sorry for being late! She knew sorry wouldn’t cut it but at least she tried.

Oatpaw looked around, the small brown tom blinked his oat colored hues as they glanced around. Shy, confused, excited. The tom shook out his pelt. "W-willowstripes?"Oatpaw said in a timid voice, approching his mentor. Oatpaw wouldn't admit it, but he was terrified.

It seemed he was late to one of Bumblestar's meetings. That wouldn't do at all.

Picking up the pace as he entered camp, the large golden tom was quick to hear his name being called as a mentor for a new apprentice. Apparently he had arrived just in time. Giving his ruff a few licks to smooth it into a presentable state, Lioncrest dutifully approached the... rather small and slightly frail looking kit that had been assigned to his care after being walked up to the front by their guardian. Amber eyes narrowed slightly in an evaluating look as he came to a stop in front of the newly renamed 'Poppypaw' and leaned down to offer the touch of his nose in greeting.

"I am Lioncrest," he rumbled, voice level as he looked over the small cat with the tiniest spark of concern. This kit seemed hardly able to walk straight, and Bumblestar wanted him to transform her into a warrior?... He had certainly been presented with a challenge. "It is a pleasure to meet you Poppypaw. We shall begin your training after Bumblestar completes this meeting, but you are welcome to sit with me until that point should you wish it."

Without further fanfare, the large, fluffy tom padded back to the side of the crowd and awaited his new apprentice's choice. Was it a ploy to attempt to confirm if this apprentice could manage to move on her own? Perhaps, but he certainly needed to know if he had been saddled with an invalid, or a cat with deficiencies that could be trained out with time and effort.

"Its an honor to be your mentor, Tawnypaw. Now, I'll give you a heads up now that I may sometimes be a bit grouchy but usually some talking to should make me less grumpy." Rateye smiled at his apprentice.
