WindClan Clearing

[Kaybug.]

Dovepaw was relaxing in the windclan clearing. It was almost springtime--which was obvious as the snow had almost melted away completely. The sun was shining against their grey and white fur making them look shiny. Dovepaw's blue eyes were closed, his face was angled up slightly to take in the breeze. The breeze was cool and it ruffled his fur while he sat there in the clearing. The day was partly cloudy with sunlight peaking through the white, fluffy clouds.

She really needed to get off her butt and stop feeling sorry for herself. From where she sat in the corner observing the clearing, Bravebird took notice of the Clanmates chattering away, the cats sunbathing, the apprentices and kits playing. Her blue gaze landed on one of the apprentices who appeared to be lounging alone, and an idea came into her brain.

The warrior got to her paws and gave her fur a shake, trotting over to Dovepaw. "Enjoying the nice weather?" she asked the young 'paw, turning her face up to peer at the sun rays that poked through the fluffy clouds above. It felt good to just sit here, to bask in it. But Brave's paws itched to do something other than this, something outside of camp. Hopefully, Dovepaw would be up for some training. "How's your training coming along?"

Dovepaw was immediately snapped out of their thoughts when Bravebird approached them. He turned his head towards the warrior and opened his eyes.

"Yeah... the weather is nice... Uh... I still need to learn how to hunt... I have some battle training and I know how to do the hunter's crouch..." their voice trailed off as they observed the warrior in front of them. Dovepaw's fur was still being ruffled by the wind as he looked up at the feline.

The sun illuminated his blue eyes as he looked at the warrior. Gently, he stood up. They were pretty lean, and tall for his age. Dovepaw is about 9-10 moons old right now, and very behind in training.

Snowstar pushed Dusksun out of the nursery with her head. "Now, go find Rabbitkit and have fun! It'll be worth it once Rabbitkit goes to bed." Snowstar looked around, but didn't see Rabbitkit within hearing distance. "Go find them! Keep them busy until I poke my head out of the nursery and call for you, telling you that I need your help!" She whispered to her deputy and sister.

Harehum flicked his tail and scanned the clearing. He shrugged to himself. "They'll come if they want." he thought roughly.

"Does anyone want to go hunting?" he asked, looking at the freshkill pile. It would need to be much higher for the amount of cats they have. "I'll just take 3 cats. Maybe more if they want."

crowstumble found a nice warm spot in the sun. while the worst of leaf-bare was over, the cold still threatened to bite at unsuspecting cats.

Ooh, fellow Clanmate.

The perfect target for a cat liek Cypressflake. She crouched playfully like a kit playing mossball, her tail lashing back and forth behind her. She creeped closer to Crowstumble, her paws barely making any noise. Then with an excited yelp, she pounced, jumping over the unsuspecting warrior and landing infront of them.

"HEY! HI! HOW ARE YOU?" She practically yelled into the cat's ears, unable to contain her excitement of getting to talk to a Clanmate. "I'M SOOOOO EXCITED TO MEET YOU, WHAT"S YOUR NAME??"

Rookscreech dozed in some tall grass. She dreamed of happier days. Her face was smiling a little bit, though a small tear was dripping from her closed eye. I miss you.
