Floodsight ✦ RiverClan Warrior | 30 moons | Mind Reader ; Killer Aptitude T3 ; empty slot
"That's good to hear. I'm glad we went though this season without any major storms," The silver cat replied with a soft smile. More so, she was glad there wasn't a flood this year. Now that they lived a little higher above the water level, it should be alright for them, but the prey- they could easily be wiped out, leaving them with nothing.
Floodsight shuddered, remembering the rapids from her childhood and back in their old camp. Her tired, stormy eyes cleared a bit as she tried to muster a genuine answer. "I'm...it's been alright. Just a little tired from here and there. Lots of work, but we'll pull through."

Ashfall nodded at the she-cat, smiling warmly. "I'm sure that with the otters gone now, we can be at peace for a moon or two. time to relax and not worry as much," he mewed quietly. He knew what it felt like, to be worried. The floods were long ago, but the tom had vague, horrid memories of them nonetheless.

Tatteredstone padded over from out of the warriors' den, taking a seat after a quick stretch.

Seapaw
he/they - 13 moons
Go with the flow, Mind Reader
"Hiya Midnight," they purred, tapping him with their tail. Then, Pikekit - paw, Pikepaw, appeared. "Of course I do!" he smiled, "Are you enjoying it?" He titled his head to the side in a dramatic flop. Then - oh, questions questions. He was getting a little old to be an apprentice, wasn't he? Hopefully not too old. "Not this meeting," they replied a little anxiously, shuffling their paws. "I've still got a bit to learn." If they were being honest, they really weren't confident in their combat skills - were they really assessment ready? If they got right into it now, they were pretty sure they'd fail or even get hurt... Not that anyone would do that on purpose, but what if they fell over, or failed to dodge something that should be easy?
Big and strong... He wasn't sure about that. It might be nice to be so strong that he could push opponents away? Instead of drawing any blood? Maybe? "Uh, some training might be helpful." He gulped and nodded his head. Gosh, hopefully Pikepaw didn't think he was a dweeb or anything, compared to... Who was his dad, actually? They weren't sure. "Thank you Pikepaw," he gave a genuine smile, though a little nervous. Oh! He held in a sigh of relief as Starrypaw appeared.
First of all, he was of course happy to see his friend. Starrypaw was nice! But, also, perhaps he could avoid Pikepaw's warrior-ceremony-fighting-big-strong questions now... "Starrypaw, hi!" He greeted her, in hopes that she would provide... Some kind of distraction for Pikepaw.
Pikepaw smiled with sheer enthusiasm, ”I’m having a great time, I’ve not learnt to swim yet though. That’s the one I’m most looking forward to!” He honestly couldn’t wait to get his fur wet. He’d be a menace in the water, just thinking about all the pranks he could enact. Now that was where the real fun began. He was even more enthused when they accepted his offer of Papa’s help, he’d be sure to let him know right away.
Another cat? Starrypaw! ”Hey Starrypaw, I’m Pikepaw one of the newer apprentices. It’s nice to meet ya!” He was to Seapaw’s relief immediately distracted. He found it a real joy to meet new cats and make new friends. Of course he’d seen Starrypaw around, but had never got the chance to properly say hello. He wondered quietly what was Starrypaw really good at, maybe she was a really good swimmer, now that would be cool.

He/They || 12 Moons || Riverclan ❝Child, do not fear the thorns; walk barefoot, and you will find something precious. ❞
Shorepaw made his way out the apprentices den, his tail flicking slowly. It was nice to have an actual den and nest to sleep in. The twolegs did not keep him comfortable. Thankfully, there was no collar he had to rip off his neck. That would've been annoying. Plus made it impossible to hunt! The jingle of the stupid little bells? Gosh. The tom knew he still smelled like twolegs, but he never really ate too much in the den. The food was gross and fattened cats up, and Shorepaw had a lithe physique and he was going to keep it that way, thank you very much. The tom jumped as..er..Owlstar called to Riverclan. The tom sat still for a moment before remembering he was Riverclan. Oops. The former loner bounded over slowly, sticking behind the rest of the clan and observing.

Her eye narrowed through the fuzz in her vision, shifting slightly as she stood as if trying her hardest to keep the tilt of the world around her level to eye... Singular.
After the cats had gathered, and by the stars had they gathered, Owlstar cleared her throat and prepared herself for further physical abuse. She didn't have much to announce, so hopefully this could be quick. However, that didn't mean her torn yowls didn't have any value. She'd do ceremonies and reassignments last since they were so few.
"Tonight, we welcome two returnin' members a Riverclan, Jayfrost n' Shorepaw, whom I've assigned ta Larkwing." she allowed her words to sink into the crowd, knowing the news of Jayfrost's return was... Odd. He had a whole vigil in his name, and here he was, walking around like it was no cats business. "Jayfrost, who was considered dead, came back ta us sunrises ago." It wasn't resurrection, she wasn't even sure if Starclan could do that in its state, but it was pure dedication. The same could be said for Shorepaw, but he didn't get torn up by a bloodlust filled otter.
"We've also secured a new landmark fer us, Sunlit Shallows. 'Til further notice though, don't want nocat 'round there 'til we can enforce some kinda barriers. Anycat seen out there beforehand will be punished er exiled." The tabby released a breath, facing the cats gathered below her with a level stare.
She'd organize something, she really had to. Not much of a choice was given, and it would be helpful, some form of bonding in a shaky period of time. Owlstar wasn't sure why the possibility of chaos shocked her... Maybe now, for once, she wasn't expecting it. "Sunheart took a fall recently at Sunlit Shallows. He's restin' in the medicine den now. A broken bone won't put 'em outta commission, but I ain't finna deal with anycat else breakin' their skulls when I'd much rather be breakin' the bones a cats who ain't my responsibility, like threats."
And she meant it too. She'd already scold Sunheart to the ends of the earth for not being more careful, for not listening to her when she strictly ordered him to not die... No. No, she wouldn't think about that anymore. Owlstar had good news, believe it or not, and she knew how to tell it.
"Ta fill our ranks, which are ever growin', we 'ave Eaglewing n' Floodsight as our newest Lionhearts. The former helped Sunheart n' Berryshine in their time a need, n' I'm eternally grateful fer 'er." it was one of the things amongst many that made the she-cat stand out, but it was worth noting. The tabby turned her head and nodded to the young cat. "Floodsight has shown 'er devotion ta Riverclan by fightin' fer us numerous times alongside Stormstar n' myself." even if the she-cat wasn't without her faults, nocat was, and her loyalty certainly made up for it. Shw caught the she-cats silver pelt in the crowd and nodded at her, even if their eyes likely didn't meet.
Tigersplash, Rainwish, Ravenglow, Whisperingpaw, and Kitepaw all sat amongst their clanmates. Ravenglow mortified to hear of Sunheart's wounds, and Rainwish's expression twisting with a similar emotion.
Irisdream observed from the nursery. Peonykit between her forepaws.
Tigersplash, Rainwish, Ravenglow, Whisperingpaw, Kitepaw, and Irisdream all chanted the names of the new Lionhearts.
Orchidkit rolled by his mother's paws, little kitten ears not paying any attention to announcements. [ @Luna16 ]
Stormwish purred and thought about going to congratulate Floodsight.
Vervainpaw was shocked and kept flicking her gaze towards the Medicine Den now.
Nightpaw wished that she could have helped in some way. Oh well. She'd go talk to Berry later about joining a herb patrol. The Medic said she could, after all.
Cypresspaw watched quietly for once, hoping that they wouldn't have to get a new Deputy. Sunheart was good.
