Jeez, the level of incompetence was getting worse and worse by the days. The number of filthy rogues who had departed from ShadowClan was small, Dawnstar had expected more to depart. Oh, well, she'd had had to continue working hard to banish the weak and frail willed from ShadowClan bit by bit. Dawnstar didn't mind really how big or small her clan was, numbers could only take a cat so far, so long as her clanmates were loyal, fierce, and strong-willed, Dawnstar felt that she could take ShadowClan to immense heights. But she still had several weak links that needed straightening out, if they were going to remain in ShadowClan they'd better get with the program otherwise they should go join the other softhearts in good-for-nothing clans. Better yet, she found it more tasteful if they remained rogues.

"Let all old enough to lurk in the shadows join beneath Shadowledge for a clan meeting." Dawnstar screeched as soon as she bounced up onto the Shadowledge. There was much to discuss, the change in borders and her new kill orders, the bunnies were being beyond disrespectful. They didn't know their place so ShadowClan was going to have to teach them again. Ceremonies came before her more personal issues, the clan needed to keep growing, and Dawnstar knew better than let those hareballs rile her up so much that she overlooked her duties as a clan leader. Sadly, yowling threats at her clanmates were growing a little tedious, and although some of them deserved a good tongue lashing, Dawnstar decided not to waste her breath.

She almost forgot about him as well, he spends one moon in the medicine den... not even, and decides he no longer wants the position. It was a disappointment, one that she should have expected, but it still hurt and angered her nonetheless. She would not forget this any time soon. Perhaps she should have listened to some of her clanmates, he was too young to understand what she had given him. Dawnstar would not make the same mistake again. It wasn't that she'd look bad in front of her clan, who cared for the opinions of kittypets and mice, but this felt like some sort of betrayal even though she knew the fault was hers. She'd think long and hard about the next cat to replace him and she'd make sure not to give them so much power, for now, the other one would have to be a placeholder. Much like the other one currently is.

Berrypaw heard Dawnstar's yowl from the apprentices day. She padded over, ready to listen to the announcement.

Peacekit stepped out from the nursery, one of the first to respond to the call.

After all, she had to be perfect. Or else...

She shook her head violently.

No. Don't think about it.

With that thought, she took a seat close to the Shadowledge to listen.

The kit padded over to the ledge. Was she going to become an apprentice? She had no idea, so she just sat down and sighed, flicking her ear. She curled her tail around her paws and looked up at the leader.

Rookpaw slunk over to the Shadowledge. She wasn't one to usually pay attention. But after the recent events made her a little more invested in clan politics. She'd always known Dawnstar was a few feathers short of a cuckoo-bird. And it angered her to see such a leader. But Rookpaw didn't see the world in black and white. Well, truthfully, she saw the world as all black, with maybe some gray. What had entered Rookpaw's sleepless nights this week was a realisation. She was the adopted sister if Venompaw, son of Blackhaze. She was practically raised by her uncle, also relative of the notorious traitor. She was mentored by Wolfwhisper, who she'd noticed was not a favourite of the leader. And her only friend was just revealed as a traitor, for whom she'd stood up at his trial. Rookpaw really hoped Dawnstar's sociopathic narcissism was strong enough for her not to have noticed all this. Otherwise, Rookpaw was an obvious target.

Ears flicking, he raised his head towards the noise of his leader calling for the cats to join under Shadowledge. Raising to his paws he padded over, tail held low before sitting close enough to hear well. Once he joined the others he angled his ears up to listen.

Flametail had been lazing in one of the nests in the warriors den when he heard the calling. Standing up he padded into the clearing and took a spot in the back, blinking up at Dawnstar with interest. Tucking his paws under himself with a tail wrapped around them he listened closely.

dawnstars yowl wasn't hard too ignore and buzzardpaw poked her head out of the apprentices den. with a groan and a stretch of her legs, the calico made her way over to the shadowledge. what would this meeting be about? other than ceremonies, of course. she knew the tensions with windclan were getting higher, so maybe that would provide some interesting things to hear about. maybe she'll announce that adderflower went missing! the apprentice thought with a grin, eyes crinkling in amusement.

waspkits ears swiveled towards the direction of the shadowledge, slowly looking over to all the cats gathering around due to dawnstars call. oh jeez. that was a lot of cats..all gathering around so quickly, it was a bit intimidating in all honestly.
hesitantly standing up from the spot in the clearing where he had been sitting, he scrambled over as quick as he could, sitting down in a spot that would provide him some sort of cover. him running over so fast probably brought some attention to him, he realized as dread filled him. ugh.

ears twitching ever so slightly at the call, marshwolf raised her big head to look over to the shadowledge. standing up from where she had been sat, she slunk over to the shadowledge and took a seat.

Excitement flooded thru is veins like a broken dam, A clan meeting! If there was a clan meeting that meant Dawn'star was going to be there! Stubby legs churning, Cotton'kit practically flew into the clearing. This was so magnificent! his greatest hero (besides Fox'storm) was going to be only a few tail-lenghts away! If he didn't hurry, the pudgy kit wouldn't get a front row seat. And if he didn't get a front row seat, then he wouldn't get to see the almighty, all powerful, awe inspiring Dawn'star! Weaving in between cats, Cotton'kit
skidded to a halt at the bass of the ledge. His wide blue eyes glew happily, there she was! There was his most favorite cat in all the universe! Without even thinking he squealed the first thing that came to his mind "DAWN'STAR IM UR BIGGEST FANNNNN!!" yes a bit overdone, but the little kit couldn't help it, nor did he regret it.
