Fogpaw walked behind the warrior as they came up to Lionsbeach. His eyes widened. This place was so beautiful. The white tom scanned the scene with his blue eyes. He turned to Eagleflower. Fogpaw dipped his head and started sniffing the air. "I can smell some fish in the water and a couple of birds that I can't identify.", Fogpaw responded. He looked over at him.

Eagleflower have a mrrow in amusement at the tom's wonder, looking back on how stunned he had been during his first trip here. It had been quite the sight for sore eyes. The white sand contrasted nicely with all the blue, and the green dots of trees lined the scene peacfully.
"Well, what do you feel like catching?"

Fogpaw looked at Eagleflower, waiting for him to answer. When he did he read his lips to figure out what he was asking. "I don't think I could manage catching those birds, so I would go with the fish. I've always loved the thought of getting my paws wet.", he meowed with his slow speech. Just because his mother was formerly of skyclan doesn't mean he didn't like the water.

Ah, fishing. The one 'wonder of life' he had no idea why any sane cat would enjoy. Still, he wanted to make the awkward situation up to the poor apprentice. Nodding along, he smiled.
"Alright! Let's get started, then. Follow me!" He exclaimed, trotting down to the water's edge. Sitting by the blue surface, he watched attentively as the water lapped at the sand. Movement glimmered at the edge of the shore, and his eyes blazed triumphantly. There! He pounced at the shape agressively, and a fish jumped out of the water in alarm. After slipping out of his paws, it darted away. He turned to see if Fogpaw had any luck.

Fogpaw sat down next to the warrior. He saw the water ripple and he glanced over in enough time to see him catch a fish. That was amazing! When Eagleflower looked over he instantly looked at the water and saw something swim by. The deaf tom kept his eyes focused on it, since his eyes were the only think he can use for this. Fogpaw waited patiently for it to get closer. The tom pounced lightly, scooping it in his small paws. He threw it onto the bank and ran after it. The white tom hooked his blue eyes on it and gave it a killing bite. He looked up at the warrior. "How was that?", he asked with a flicker of his tail.

The shore line of the beach shrunk due to the snow melt. Dawncloud padded down the thin stretch of smooth pebbles and coarse sands as the two began their hunt for a good spot to track down prey.

The she-cat furrowed her brow and turned to her partner to watch him prod at a little crab that was scuttling through the shore and trying to get to the water. It's pincers looked to be making gripping motions as Mossflame drew closer.

"Um, I don't think we can even break the shell...please be careful."

"Oh" He turned around and felt a pinching sensation travel up his tail. "Hey-ow!" He whipped around to find the crab tossed over on the sand, it's whitish belly facing up. "...I don't like crabs. Is... Is there anything out here that's edible? All I've found so far is this... Thing..." He glared at the crab, it's eight legs waving about in the air as it attempted to turn itself over.

Dawncloud blinked uncomprehendingly as Mossflame turned, then promptly yelps as the crab catches a grip on his tail. The molly makes a face like she's trying to hold in her laughter as her hunting partner tears out a bit of his tail fur to chuck the little nuisance away from himself.

"Well, we could always try fishing, but with all the snow melt flooding the river it may not be as safe. We could always look for some ducks or something." She suggests. "But no crabs, right?" she smiled, but it was clear by her tone the relatively calm she-cat was teasing him.
