It was a relatively nice day, with newleaf well on its way. Took it long enough, the medicine cat grumbled in his head as he padded down the familiar path to the mossy den. He wanted to see how the marigold patch that grew nearby was faring - perhaps he may even be able to collect some to take home. As he pad along, quiet voices reached his ears; young voices. Well, that was certainly unusual.

Sundust rounded the corner of the den, catching sight of the two - apprentices, as he expected. “Good afternoon,” he greeted, slight amusement twitching his whiskers. He recalled his days sneaking out of camp. “I do hope you two aren’t out here without a warrior?” Would he get the kids in trouble? Nah, but he wouldn’t let them roam the territory unsupervised.

"S-Sundust! I, um..." She looked down at her paws sheepishly, feeling even more silly due to the fact she still had those cobwebs on her. "I'm sorry. I was told to go gather some moss with Ravenpaw, but all the warriors seemed so busy, I guess I just forgot to go ask someone to come with us... It's not her fault, though! I was the one who lead us here." Wisppaw hoped Ravenpaw wouldn't have to get in trouble. She thought she was making a new friend, but this could just mess things up...

When he greeted them Ravenpaw jumped "Um nothing we werent- um we arent-" she then caught herself and all of a sudden seemed emotionless again

"Sir" she said sternly "no" she then said nervously

She looked at the ground waiting for a earful of punishment letting out a sigh, moss in front of her

The burly tom listened patiently as the apprentices offered their explanations - so they weren’t sent to fetch moss and the warrior couldn’t even be bothered to make sure they had a chaperone? Disappointing. “I trust you two know why we don’t allow apprentices out of camp alone? We don’t want any young cats getting hurt.” Anymore young cats getting hurt. “Next time if you can’t find an escort, just don’t go. If a warrior can send you out to fetch moss, they can find someone to go with you or go themselves.” Right now, that the lecture part was out of the way, what next?

Sundust’s peach gaze wandered a bit, catching sight of a small snatch of yellow, a hint of a bloom. Perfect. “Right, now Thrushfur has plenty on his plate and I’m not one to tell for small mistakes, so I won’t bother him about you two. Here’s what we’ll do instead: do you see those flowers over there? Just beginning to bloom?” He angled his ears to point out the plant in question. “That’s what must be the first marigold of the season. Why don’t you two help me collect some? And we can bring those cobwebs you guys found back as well. If anyone asks when we return to camp we’ll just say I took you two out for herb gathering. Alright?” That seemed like a fair solution - they still got to help the clan, received a mild lecture, and no one had to get in trouble.

A giant sigh of relief crossed her she did not need another mark on her record, and of course he was holding back that young cats are getting hurt and there not preventing anything and she could handle herself but who is she too argue

She looked up at him “Thank you” she said in a low voice “and of course sir” she then started walking towards the flowers

She slowly picked them being as careful as possible trying to impress sundust but also helping wisppaw as much as she can

She seemed to enjoy picking flowers and being with wisppaw even if it was supervised

All her traumatized past seemed to fade away just for those few moments

She then put the flowers in her mouth and one behind her ear and then returned to sundust

She then sat and waited for wisppaw to join her and for the medicine cat to escort them back

While waiting for wisppaw Ravenpaw leaned in trying to engage in a converstion with sundust

"Sir do mind if i ask you something" she said shyly making sure wisppaw couldnt hear

"Thank you... it won't happen again!" She mewed, feeling grateful for Sundust's understanding, before crouching down next Ravenpaw and picking some of the marigold as well. So many petals... It kind of tickled her whiskers.

One she had a couple of the stalks in her mouth, she joined the other she-cat as she waited for the medicine cat to lead them back to camp. She thought she saw Ravenpaw sneakily ask something, but it was too quiet to hear. @Rosepaaw @naiad

Silvereyes grinned at Wisppaw, proud of her apprentice, seeing the prey in her jaws. Noting the time of day, she flicked her tail and said, “Come. There is still more prey to be caught.”

Wisppaw tailed Silvereyes, the ginger tabby waiting to see where her mentor would lead her. "Have you ever caught anything weird, Silvereyes? Like an adder? Or a groundhog?"

Oriolepaw stumbled the tom with the foreleg blow, but it was him grabbing - albeit sloppily - at his shoulders that caused him to actually fall.

Oriolepaw gasped as Sootfur rolled, the air being forced out of him as the slightly older tom's body was suddenly on his own. Panic began to worm his way into his mind, and his breaths became fast gasps. He couldn't breathe right!

In his panicked state, he did whatever he could to try to free himself, with no strategy. He squirmed and flailed his hind legs, which were free. His hind paws were very close to Sootfur's hind legs, so hopefully he'd land a solid kick or two on the warrior's legs.
