Blizzardsky gave a smile to the tom-kit,” Pain tolerance exercises are things you do so you can handle getting injured in battle when you are older and it won’t affect you.“ he explained,” Some cats get chosen to learn the exercises that will help them able to tolerate more pain. That way you aren’t going to notice that you are in pain and can keep fighting in a battle.“ he meowed hopefully the concept of battle didn’t scare the kit.

"Whoa!" That sounded cool. "I'll be the best Clan cat and everyone won't care that I was a rogue! Yes yes yes yes!" Ebonykit nodded quickly.

Blizzardsky was glad it didn’t scare the kit much, so he grabbed a stick and smiled,” Sometimes when hunting, apprentices and warriors bite the bone of the prey a bit too much, if you try biting the stick hard, but not hard enough to break your teeth you will after a while not find it painful when you accidentally bite the bone of the prey.“ he meowed

Ebonykit quickly bit the stick before letting go and saying "It hurts!" But, wanting to be to be best warrior ever be bit down trying to ignore the pain.

After about a minute Ebonykit spit out the stick. "Did I do good?" he asked.

He ran around in circles around the warrior. "Can I do another!?" he asked even though part of him didn't want to. He was desperate to show th Clan. " i want to show Burningkit that I'm not a rogue and that a warrior is teaching me 'pain tolerance.'"

After jumping up to the blessed sensation of all four paws under him, Ottersplash brushed his shoulder against the apprentice's to show gratitude. His sparkling eyes settled over her kind hazel ones. "You know, you're pretty good at that," He teased. "Rescuing warriors from meanie rocks, I mean."

Sootpaw gave a small, laugh-like noise at Ottersplash's joke. Trying to think of a reply that would make him think she was cool. "well, I was looking forward to becoming a warrior, but now not so much, since you've spilled the secret of what they do all day!" Was that funny? She hoped so. If it wasn't funny, the conversation would grow awkward. And Sootpaw hated awkward.

"Me too!" The silvery apprentice replied, feeling the rock move as she nudged it. Sootpaw pushed as hard as she could after the warrior's count, falling forward as the rock gave away. She felt some other rocks jut slightly into her skin, and the cuts they were making were stinging.

"Oof." She mewed getting up and licking her five- no, six- no, seven scratches. "It worked!" She mewed triumphantly, her eyes shining brightly with relief and pride. Yes, the scratches were hurting, but she wasn't hurrying to look weak in any cat's eyes.

speaking of eyes, Sootpaw felt Ottersplash's gaze fall on him after he finished speaking. She looked right back. "I guess Lionstar has to make a new rank, then! I would be the only 'rock rescuer' in the whole clan!" She gave a slightly evil- yes, evil, but not that evil- grin. "And now, you owe me." She mewed, licking a scratch again.

Frankly Blizzardsky thought that would be enough for the kit, but nodded,” Yeah sure...“ he saw a few shells around camp and grabbed them before smashing them to bits and put them in a line,” Walking on shells can toughen your paw pads.“ he meowed.
