Marching Forward and Moving On (New RiverClan Camp Discovery)

Honeystep was thankful that she was just on a patrol. She knew she was no fighter and if a dog had shown up. She shuddered at the thought. And no running away, that was harsh it wasn't like the dogs were at their camp... Current camp. She walked up with her patrol mates and looked a little nervous about the whole thing. She wasn't sure what to say so she just followed them along @Ace. @twizzypaw

As the groups charged forward to meet the dogs, Fadingstar raced forward with his own group. Rowanmane and Sunsetgleam struck out at the dog first, while Willowtail took a more cautious approach.

The leader decided to slash at the dog's hind legs; if he could hit it there, he might be able to cripple it just a little. He didn't have a ton of experience with fighting dogs, but given that it wasn't much bigger than a fox, it couldn't be too different... right?

Group 1 results: The dog rolled a 2!

Rowanmane successfully landed on the dog's back, landing a strike on its side in the process. The dog yelped at the blow, a fresh gash on its flank. Before it could react, Sunsetgleam's claws slashed against the lower part of its neck and Fadingstar's claws sliced its hind legs.

Blood now pouring from multiple wounds, the dog turned to snap its jaws at the closest cat- Sunsetgleam. Meanwhile, it thrashed around, trying to throw Rowanmane off. Fadingstar ducked out of the way, narrowly avoiding being struck in the head.

Group 2 results: The dog rolled a 12!

The second dog reeled back in surprise as dirt was flung into its face. It pawed at its eyes to rid them of the debris, pain searing through its back as Dusklion successfully landed on top of it.

This pain was soon joined by a sharp feeling in the dog's hind leg as Spiraltail's claws made contact. By now it had freed enough of the dirt from its eyes to see, so it was able to successfully evade Irisdream's attack. The dog reared back and attempted to shake Dusklion off, while striking out at Irisdream and Spiraltail with its front paws.

Group 3 results: The dog rolled a 9!

The third dog had its head low when the attack began, so it was in the right spot for Duskleaf's attack. A sharp whine left it as claws slashed its muzzle, drawing a good amount of blood in the process.

As the dog attempted to process what was going on, sharp teeth sank into its back and hind leg. Neither bite was particularly strong, but both hurt quite a bit and drew blood. The dog managed to move in time to reduce the impact of Irisfrost's blow, although the tips of her claws still managed to scratch its flank.

Raising a paw, the dog attempted to slam it into Duskleaf's side. Meanwhile, it kicked out with its other hind leg in an attempt to knock Rosehawk away.

Group 4 results: The dog rolled a 16!

Goldfish was successful at boxing the dog's ears, but the attack made the dog extra alert for additional movements. Two cats came for its front, so that's where its focus went. It dodged Pristinerose's attempted blows and leapt out of the way of Redmire's charge toward its underside.

Movement out of the corner of its eye had it turning, causing Wormbite's blow to only partially land. A couple of claws raked down its lower side, causing it to snarl. Since Wormbite was currently in its sights, it darted forward and attempted to sink its teeth into his back.

Group 5 results: The dog rolled an 11!

The fifth and final dog let out a snarl as Heroneye's claws sliced into its flank. Whirling around, the dog managed to catch a glimpse of Caveclaw rushing past it, before feeling claws dig into its skin again.

Enraged now, it swung out at the nearest cat- Lilyglide. In the process, her claws made contact with its leg, drawing some blood. It pulled its leg back into itself before it could do any damage, rethinking its strategy.

Primrosepaw managed to strike it in the muzzle with a fast movement, but her follow-up strike at its chest missed. The dog was ready as she attempted to leap onto its back, leaping out of the way.

Rearing back on its hind legs, it struck out with its front paws and attempted to strike both Caveclaw and Heroneye simultaneously.

Willowtail assessed the situation carefully, growling as she thought about her mother for a moment. The she-cat used her small size to her advantage and attempted to slide under the dog and rake her claw on the back of it's forelegs. If this didn't work, then Willowtail would try to escape and slash it's flank with sharp, deep cuts.

Dusklion - RiverClan Deputy

Now successfully on the dog's back, the deputy dug her claws in as far as she could into its shoulders and flank to secure her position. Spiraltail and Irisdream were going for its legs, while.... Riversnap was nowhere to be found. Where the hell was he??? Frustration ripped through the gray-furred deputy and she noted it for later before focusing her sights back onto the dog.

It rearing up made her dig her claws in deeper, slashing her hind legs in a downward motion while reaching her jaws forward in an attempt to clam down on one of the dogs ears and tear. Her eyes caught sight of blood running down Irisdream's face, but felt relief once she charged forward again, going for the legs once more to keep the beast from tossing her off its back.

Whether or not her teeth managed to rip and shred the sensitive skin around the dog's ear, Dusklion reared back and, unhooking one forepaw aimed several swift and hard blows to the dogs head in an attempt to disorient it.

Rolling ... Lilyglide got a 7!

As the dog swung out at Lilyglide, though not damaged, she gasped as she was knocked back a bit, colliding with the ground. Slowly, she pulled herself up off the ground shakingly at first from the collision on the ground, she saw one of the cats around her, their paw was crushed. One was cut. She became worried and concerned " Is everyone alright?!" she shouted, The small she was very worried for her fellow clanmates. She shook off her white fur.

checking to see what the dog was doing. She isn't quite sure. but she cannot let her clanmates down. her yellow eyes gaze around before running in an attempt to attack.

rolling... 14!

She attempts to lunge out towards the dog, very reckless, but she isn't sure what else to do. She jumps towards the dog her unsheathed claws outstretched. hoping to deliver something useful but most of her focus is on the others around her.

Shrikestorm approached his three clanmates, the tip of his tail twitching at the mention of dogs in the area. He looked toward Brokenstream and dipped his head, he couldn't agree that he was pleased not to be attacking those dogs in the very moment, but if he was a better help to his clanmates here, he'd stay without complaint

claws ripped through the mutt's flesh and the oriental jerked back once he succeeded. a snarl rippled through the air, his ear twitching in response to the auditory cue. suppose the beast wasn't awfully fond of him now. darting pawsteps alerted him and wormbite would tuck his limbs in and roll away — still, not without getting slightly a bit nipped on the back beforepaw.

it was difficult to pinpoint where his groupmates were positioned, but if the dog had its attention on the taller tom then perhaps he could distract it long enough for them to get a few decent blows in. at the very least it must be facing front towards him. so, the warrior would take a pawful of dirt and attempt to fling it at the dog's face (,,well general direction) before launching himself through the dusty haze & attempting to dig his claws and cling onto one of its front limbs.

if wormbite succeeded, he would then attempt to lash out wildly at it's face - neck. if he could kill the dog or blind it, then that would be beyond great but he would be satisfied with leaving a nasty scar. though, admittedly he was making a guess he would either get thrown or end up with another bite mark scar on his shoulder as a trade-off. eh. maybe it would balance out his right frontleg then.

Sunsetgleam backed up slightly, trying to avoid the dog’s gaping jaws. Their attack had landed though they were met with it's retaliation through it’s sharp teeth that still managed to scrape a part of their foreleg. They let out a quiet hiss from the sting of the wound and the sight of their blood trickling down ever so slightly. It was also staining a small portion of their fur. It’s not big, so clearly it won’t kill them. It probably won't take very long to heal. They’ve seen cats go through much worst and live through it all. Plus A leg isn’t as vital as the head... And they'd rather take the dog's attacks instead of seeing their clanmates be the one to get attacked

But part of them felt something off about it. No. It’s not that important right now. They’ll think about it later. The young warrior would used the chance to try and claw the dog’s face while it was still facing them. As long as..it doesn’t bite them again though. They were glad the rest of the group managed to avoid the dog's jaws

Irisfrost

A sharp wine cut through the air, making Irisfrost wince as she lunged. Someone's attack seemed to have succeeded. Unfortunately, she didn't have such luck, and while the tips of her claws slashed across the dog's flank, the wound was only skin-deep. At least her patrolmates seemed to have gotten good hits in.

Irisfrost watched as the dog raised a paw to swipe at Duskleaf and another at Rosehawk. She had an opportunity here. Irisfrost lunged at one of the dog's legs, jaws opening in an attempt to clamp them around it and pull. If it worked, her attack would surely destabilise the creature, and then they could bring it down completely.

He saw the deputy on the other dog for a moment, seeing as she may have the same strategy as him for large predators like this. Land in their back and inflict damage from up there. It was a bit difficult though whenever the large beast was trying to throw you off. He tried to get a good grip in the dogs shoulders and kick it with his back legs (claws unsheathed) to get some good scratches on the beast.

Spiraltail’s claws dug into the dog’s shoulders, anchoring him as the beast reared up. With intense focus, he slashed his hind legs downward, aiming to cripple the dog’s legs and prevent it from tossing him off. He lunged forward, teeth snapping for one of the dog’s ears, intending to rip through the sensitive flesh. Amidst the chaos, he saw Irisdream’s bloodied face, a stark reminder of the peril they faced.

His frustration with Riversnap’s absence flared briefly, but he pushed it aside. His attention remained on the dog, charging forward again to attack its legs and keep it unsteady. Dusklion’s rapid, forceful blows to the dog’s head provided some hope, but whether Spiraltail’s own attack had made a significant impact remained uncertain in the midst of the battle.
