Dapplebreeze tilted her head, uncertain as she sniffed at the mystery herb that Mosspaw had found. Nose wrinkling in thought, she shook her head, lifting it the moment she heard Redface's approach. A grateful look crossed her face as she took note of the flowers in his maw. Tansy, if she had to guess. His question, however, coaxed another thoughtful look from the patched fury, thinking back on what Lightningstorm had said. The medicine cat had always been very exact whenever she spoke about herbs, making a point to mention when she only ever wanted the leaves from their findings. She had done as much with the sorrel, but the tansy she had merely described the bloom, taking special care to make certain she was as descriptive as possible. If she knew the calico - and at this point in her life, she was quite familiar with her - at all, then Redface was quite right. It was the flower the healer was after.

"Yes, I do believe you are right, my dear. I am not certain what these greens are, but it might be best to stay well away. Unknown herbs are best left for the medics to dabble with. They are trained to understand such things. Mosspaw, darling, have Redface show you were he found his tansy, if he could be ever so kind. Hopefully there is enough left for you to bring some. If not, the sorrel I found should still have a few leaves available for picking," the former queen mewed demurely, twitching her tail as she turned her gaze to the meadows, scanning the area in the off chance they might have missed some extra clumps of herbs in the vicinity.

"You betcha." Redface chirps. Even muffled, his chipper mood is evident. Ringed red tail raised, he heads back along the path he'd already cut through the meadow previously, throwing in a few hops for the joy of it. He doesn't stop to appraise his own mystery-herb as they pass it; whatever it is, it's decidedly not anything that they're out here for, and he'a a little embarrassed about that in hindsight.

"Mosspaw, here," he mews, nodding toward the little patch of tansy he'd been harvesting from. There's really not much left, but he figures any little bit counts. "An' you might wanna see how much'a that sorrel Dapplebreeze found is still there, if y'think you can carry it." He adds, knowing the apprentice may not be able to pick much tansy, here. Redface cranes to look about, this way and that, because surely there can't only be two good patches of herbs out here? His nose is starting to tickle something fierce, and he's worried about how chewed up the tansy stems are going to be. Any more time spent searching and he's worried he'll be a sneezing, drooling wreck.

"Your call, buddy." Redface decides. Ultimately, he's got a little more space in his own mouth to carry things; he'll swing back through and pluck up any extra sorrel he can find.

Mosspaw followed Redface to the patch, and plucked some of the tansy flowers from the clumps.

Then he padded over to Dapplebreeze’s sorrel patch and picked as much as he could comfortably hold, making sure not to crush the fragile herbs too much.

The dirt brown she-cat led the way to a large hill, climbing to the top of it, and reaching a meadow of flowers. Beyond the flowers were large lumps where graves sat.

"So this is the Starry Meadows, it's where we bury our dead. I think it's a lovely place to be buried, close to the sky and covered in flowers." Dustbunny meowed softly. "We can hunt herbs here, but I don't believe we usually hunt here. You must be careful when visiting not to disturb the graves."

The she-cat waited to see if Vinepaw had any questions before she led him to the borders next.

Vinepaw followed Dustbunny up the hill, his paws light on the soft ground. When they reached the top, the sprawling meadow of flowers and the solemn graves came into view. The sight was both beautiful and humbling.

“This place is incredible,” Vinepaw murmured, his gaze drifting over the vibrant flowers and the quiet, respectful graves. “It feels like a special spot, peaceful and full of history.”

He turned to Dustbunny, curiosity in his eyes. “Do the flowers have a particular meaning here? And how do you make sure not to disturb the graves while hunting herbs?”

Vinepaw waited for Dustbunny’s answer, eager to understand more about this sacred part of WindClan’s territory before they moved on

With Stonetail

Vinepaw bounded through the meadow, his eyes gleaming with excitement. Brightly colored butterflies flitted through the tall grasses and wildflowers, their delicate wings catching the sunlight. With practiced leaps, Vinepaw tried to catch one, his paws swiping through the air as he darted after the fluttering creatures. His movements were a mix of grace and enthusiasm as he lunged and pivoted, narrowly missing a butterfly’s dainty wings. Each time he got close, the butterfly danced just out of reach, leading him in a playful chase across the field. Vinepaw's laughter rang out, a sound of pure joy as he reveled in the lighthearted pursuit.

Stonetail watched in amusement as the apprentice finally let go and had some fun he knew how hard it was training so he was glad he could take the apprentice out for some good fun

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Vinepaw and Stonetail wandered toward the edge of the meadow. The sky was fading into deep hues of purple and blue, and the first fireflies began to appear, their soft lights blinking in the growing darkness.

Stonetail, a seasoned warrior with a steady presence, and Vinepaw, a curious apprentice, settled onto a patch of soft grass. They watched in silence as the fireflies began their dance.

Vinepaw’s eyes widened with fascination. “Look at them,” he said, his voice filled with awe. “They’re like tiny stars in the grass.”

The two watched as the fireflies flickered and drifted through the air, their tiny lights creating a delicate, magical display. Vinepaw found himself entranced by their rhythmic flashes, and he shifted closer to Stonetail, feeling a sense of calm in the elder warrior’s steady company.
