Owlkit was already up and at 'em before the sun had come out. Though that was probably because it was hidden by the clouds than having anything to do with him being an early riser. The pale sheets didn't look rolled thin and light across the sky, making him lose any hopes of it raining later. Hopefully, they'd grow heavier tomorrow.

Oh well, if he couldn't splash in puddles today then he'd have to find some other way to pass the time. That was when he spotted his sister in the clearing, looking bored as ever. He couldn't have that now, could he? Owlkit dropped into his best hunting crouch, creeping closer and closer to Cedarpaw. Being only a fox-length away he got too excited and raced toward her, attempting to leap right onto her!

His grin stretched from ear to ear. He had a feeling she was pretending to be surprised but paid no mind to it. He needed to save his sister from dying of boredom! He raced around her, batting at her fur, encouraging her to chase him.

Clumps of moss in her mouth, the round faced warrior entered camp, blue eyes quick to scan the area. She and her lovely apprentice had just had an unfortunate run in with an outsider in their territory, and judging by the scents heavy in the air, WindClan was not the only band of cats utilizing this area with regularity. It was bound to happen at some point, she supposed. WindClan was new to this territory, and there might have been cats who frequented it before. What concerned her was the fact that this cat scent was new. It had not been there before in previous patrols she had been in. So why now? Why the heavy scent of outsiders now? Were the Dull Simpletons back, or was this something else?

The older warrior had every intention of letting her leader know of their findings, but instead of a lilac coat, she found a gray one she'd been familiar with since her days as an apprentice. The leader might not be in the clearing at this moment, but she knew Fallownose was a dutiful, admirable deputy. Telling him was as good as telling the leader. Better, sometimes, as far as she was concerned. As much as she adored the leader and admired the stability and safety she gave the clan, she did believe her to be a little... soft when it came to potential, outsider threats. Gave them too many chances, truth be told. In any case, she could trust Fallownose with this bit of news.

Approaching the deputy, Dapplebreeze dipped her head, using the respectful greeting as an excuse to drop the moss as well. No need to divulge into reports with a mouth full of moss. "Greetings, my dear. I do hate to interrupt, but my darling Moorpaw and I were out on a patrol by the territory and we encountered what appeared a heavily pregnant outsider - kittypet, if I had to guess by the scent - scraping moss by the border. The molly, while almost at the scent markers, had quite passed them. She seemed to not want trouble, and with a single warning was escorted out. That said... she might not have been the only cat by the territory of late. There seems to be a significant amount of outsider scents lingering in the air there. Scents that were not around this past moon," she mewed, her tail giving a small, battle ready twitch at the mere thought of cats trying to steal their home once more.

"Oh!" she added, her ears perking up as she pawed at the moss at foot. "We weren't certain if you would prefer the moss to be used for nesting material here in the clan. It might be more than necessary, but I thought it prudent to bring it along... Better than have it dry out and waste away due to the odd scrapings of an outsider molly."

Cedarpaw chuckled when Owlkit started spinning in circles around her. "Oh that's how it is huh?" Cedarpaw stood up. Amusement was clear in her eyes. "Owlclaw wants to Challange Cedarsong?" Cedarpaw made little warrior names for them both. "Well so be it," Cedarpaw yowled. Chasing after Owlkit.

Owlki- Owlclaw ran as fast as he could, bobbing and weaving to avoid Cedarsong's grasp. Then he whipped around suddenly, acting as if he was about to fight her. No warrior could best him, not even his sister! He lowered himself into a play-bow, waving his tail in the air like a flag. He didn't know any real fighting moves, but assumed this was how you prepared to battle an enemy. He flashed her another grin, drumming his paws against the ground in excitement.

Cedarsong smirked a bit. Keeping herself from chuckling, she put on her best battle face.

"Ima get you!" She scowled, giggles and smiles peeking out. Cedarsong didn't waste a second, charging towards Owlkit. Not stopping.

Owlclaw's eyes were blown wide like huge golden saucers. He almost got cold feet as his sister charged at him before remembering this was just a game. She wouldn't really hurt him. It was just pretend! So Owlclaw pretended to be brave, holding his ground as Cedarsong ran at him head-on. Then he raised himself upright, resting his weight on his bottom and stretching his limbs outward, ready to start play-swiping at her if she got too close.
