He started smelling the air, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, aha! A mouse! Or was it a vole...? Eh, it didn't matter, he thought to himself, his tail shot up and he slowly walked toward the scent, Whatever it was, it was not a bird, he heard a little *squeak!*, he dropped into a hunters crouch, and pounced on the, what was it?, oh a vole. He killed it, anyway. @Mia

Nightshadow watched Snakepaw from a tail-length back. She was crouched down and watching him. She watched him do the hunters crouch and pounced on the vole she could smell in the air. Nightshadow walked halfway to him. "Nice catch," she meowed softly, looking at him. "Catch one more of what you like then we can go back to camp."

He continued to sniff the air, a bird! He slowly walked towards it, very slowly, and once he was in pouncing distance he pounced, but missed, "Fox-dung" he muttered to himself, the bird sent out an alarm, @Mia

Nightshadow watched Snakepaw go after the bird but it got away and sent out an alarm call. She padded over to him and rested the tip of her tail on his shoulder. "We might as well go back to camp, there's not going to be prey around here now," she meowed nicely. "Pick up your prey then we can head back to camp. Do you want me to carry something?"

"Hm, the lizard, I'll carry the Vole,"

Duskfern brought herself to the training cliffs, making slight crunching sounds from her paws along the way. She knew Webpaw was following behind, but she didn’t care to check back. Just a bad day.
”So,” she mewed. “Whaddya wanna learn first? Hunting or fighting?”
she then assumed that most apprentices were eager to learn fighting first, so she granted that wish, not waiting for her to answer. “Let’s see what you’ve got!”

"Ok", she said, slightly worried. She didn't necessarily want to do fighting, but she was up for it. Walking around her mentor, she attempted to leap onto her back. Growing up as a loner, she didn't know a lot of fighting moves, but she wanted to catch up to the others as quickly as possible.
