ThunderClan: Life Before 2020's Fire

As Cherrybubble heard her name called by Duskfeather, she glanced up questioningly. Though her eyes grew wide as the deputy’s words registered in her mind. “Oh..... that’s what I was forgetting.” She mumbled to herself, standing up and padding over to where Lionwhisker was staring incredulously at Duskfeather. “Lionwhisker is right Duskfeather, we did mark the Riverclan border, I simply... didn’t get around to reporting back.” Not the best way to put that statement probably. But Cherrybubble didn’t want to make either Duskfeather or Lionwhisker mad. She knew she was the one in the fault for forgetting to report. And while she didn’t like it, she was going to own up to her mistake. “Don’t punish Lionwhisker and Shadepaw for my... forgetfulness. Look, I’ll go out in the territory and catch prey, one piece for each member of my patrol, even Lightningpelt, who didn’t even come, to bring back to the camp.” That would take her a while in this weather, but Cherrybubble figured she could do it. She was a skilled hunter after all. ”Sound like a good plan? Good. I’ll be off then!” The feline meowed, a smile crossing her face as she turned and started heading out of camp. She was still going to hold some semblance of dignity and control.

His ears perked up as he spotted cherrybubble next to him. He was about to give a glare...but he gave a pleased look. It pleased him to know that she's capable of accepting her ....mistakes? For lack of a better word. " I'll go with you if you wish? I should still probably hunt.." he meowed .

Tallmarsh stuck her head in Flintstar's den and said, "Flintstar? I have something I'd like to discuss with you." The medicine cat made her way into the den fully and sat down in front of the leader, wrapping her tail around her paws with a sigh. "For some reason, there have been a lot of cats coming in to be healed--and not just from that stupid fight, either. Cats are getting hurt on patrols. Anyways, cats who are not injured should not be coming into my den. I haven't seen Irispaw in a while, and I can't have a ton of healthy cats taking up space in my den. I was wondering if you--or I--could make an announcement?"

Smokekit poked both cats more with a grin. She jumped on top of Hallowedaster and flicked her tail for Ivykit to join her.

Tigerleap patted across the clearing, towards Flintstar's den. Her fur was covered in thorns and blood was dripping from her left ear tip. It wasn't much blood, but it stung badly. Her belly growled but she kept going, past the delicious smell of the fresh-kill pile. Slowly the tortoiseshell she-cat made her way up to her leader's den. She stopped in the entrance, to see Tallmarsh talking to Flintstar. She didn´t want to interrupt their conversation, so she sat down on the stone floor with her tail wrapped around her paws.

She frowned as Plumpaw approached, giving a quiet, "it's okay," before she turned to the others with narrowed eyes. "If you don't want to get yelled at then I suggest you report on time. I don't enjoy it when warriors aren't punctual." Duskfeather flicked her tail and sighed. "Go hunt if you wish to feed the Clan, all of you. Plumpaw, you do not have to go. I know why your patrol was not finished, and it is not your fault." The Torbie smiled toward the apprentice before she shook her head at the other patrols and went back to her own duties.

He snorted loudly . not even a sorry? standing up he gave a tail flick and marched off to the territory "we still completed it " he mumbled .

"E-excuse me, Duskfeather," Silversky stammered, shifting her weight to her hind legs. "But before I go back out there again, may I please visit the medicine den? I-I... I had something I needed to discuss with Tallmarsh."

Brightpaw nodded. "I could even show you some of the territory myself, if you'd like," he meowed.

Quickly, Ivykit followed suit and leaped atop her adoptive mother with what seemed like a triumphant yowl, as though she'd conquered something great.
