Teardrop almost floated after the tom, light on his feet, but the wind dragged on his lengthy fur. He was so close, just a tail-length away. His heart pumped, his mind thoughtless as he ran.
Darkwind raced forward as fast as he could only to snag his foot. He tumbled forward and felt the earth hard against his chest as he struggled for breath.

Teardrop's eyes widened, and he knew he was too close to avoid anything. He tripped over Darkwind, and flew into the ground, slamming his jaw, hard. He lay dazed, worried about Darkwind, and hoping he himself wasn't too hurt either.

"Are-" he seethed and let his jaw hang loose, looking with concern to the other tom.

Goldfish trotted through the forest, the cold
stinging her pink paw-pads and golden eyes
glimmering in the dim light.
The young molly was hunting, trying to
find some prey for the clan. With RiverClan's
main diet consisting of Birds and Fish, she
was certain that she must find one or the
other. After all, she just got her rank back.
She was lost in her thoughts when the scent
of a pigeon caught her attention. Yes, it was
nearby, nonchalantly pecking through the
snow for some food. It was lean from the
winter months for sure, but Goldfish knew
better than to be picky. She dropped into
a crouch, paws lightly pressing to the ground
and lifting again. With a soaring leap she
landed squarely on the pigeon's shoulders,
killing the thin bird instantly. [Rolled 15]
With the pigeon now in her jaws she padded
onward again, and spotted her Clanmate,
Creekpelt. "Hi, Creekpelt!" she said,
voice muffled from the pigeon's feathers
tickling her mouth and keeping her from
opening it. [B]"Any luck?"[/B

dropped her pigeon for a moment to lick her ruffled
chest fur. "Don't worry," she said comfortingly,
encouragement etched behind it. She hated seeing
a cat upset (Btw She's the unofficial therapist of WCO lmao)
almost as much as she hated making cats angry or
upset. "I'm sure you'll catch a good, plump
piece in no time! I guarantee it'll be fatter than this
little thing!" She purred, black-and-yellow tail
swishing behind her. Leaning over, she caught sight
of her hind leg' scars and quickly looked away, grasping
her pigeon and feeling comforted by it, by having
something to hold onto. "Want to hunt with
me?" she mumbled cheerily around her catch.
Everything was better when there was someone
or something to pick you up when you were down.
She flicked an ear toward where she'd come from,
motioning not to go there. "I came from that
way. Where would you like to try? That way, maybe?
The prey might be hiding by those briars." the
molly offered. Her claws were half-unsheathed, and
She completely unsheathed them, ready to catch something
else- or help catch something else, anyway. She had
already caught something- Creekpelt hadn't.
Maybe Teamwork would be the best thing to do right now.

Goldfish smiled, and then began padding toward
a shallow stream branching off the river. She then
wondered if there would be water voles out despite
the cold. No, They might hibernate or something.
the black-and-yellow molly thought to herself, but
despite this she found herself crouching down, and then
dropped her pigeon. She dug a shallow hole in the sludge,
got down to solid dirt, and plopped the pigeon inside of
it. Goldfish then covered it up with care, and crouched
silently. She stuck her pink nose upward, slightly opened
her maw, and allowed the scents to bathe her tongue.
Nothing.
Without a sound she began slinking through the slush
and undergrowth, eyes keen and ears pricked for any
noise. The cold frost stung her pads and the breeze
went straight to her bones and seemed to settle in
her core, making her breathing ragged. The stress she
put on her muscles from crouching so long wore on
her, and the icy wind picked up. Despite the snowflakes
that fluttered into her eyes and the biting cold, Goldfish
forced herself to keep going. The freezing in her core
turned to waves of stinging pain, for she had never
crouched this long in the cold and windiness. She
narrowed her eyes. Her breath solidified into fog when
it puffed from her mouth, and soon she couldn't feel
her paws. The stinging intensified, and she wondered
if it was this bad for Creekpelt. Goldfish felt tired- she'd
been out all day, and was now shivering. Biting her lip,
she pressed onward, still slinking, feeling like her cold
legs wouldn't support her. Without thinking a while back
they'd trekked in the water, and the icicles still hung from her
pained, icy, stiff pelt. But with all this going on, Goldfish
wondered how much more they could take.
