"You shouldn't have had to ask him to teach you," she mewed, keeping her voice even. She was... annoyed, to put it lightly, but she didn't want Adderpaw to think it was with her. "But you do need to know them. Why don't we go through them together?" Ripplepelt finished off her half of the rat, standing up. "We've still got a little while to go - we can continue to talk about SkyClan once we get to Rugged Ranges."
"To give you the answer to my first question - the warrior code says that the vulnerable of the clan must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices must hunt for them before eating prey themselves," Ripplepelt explained.

"I guess I just thought he was so cool since he taught me how to swim when other cats ignored me. I felt so free in the water..." Adderpaw said thought she wasn't too sure why she was trying to defend this cat. Her mentor. She hadn't seen him since he finished teaching her the requirements. Job done, goodbye. Hey wait a minute, maybe that was a bad thing. Shaking her head to get rid of those thoughts Adderpaw quickly finished her part of the rat having never started it.
"That sounds like a plan to me! I always love learning when you are around." And at any time usually when it involved doing something physical, but Adderpaw wasn't going to add that part in. She did really want to hear more about Skyclan but this seemed far more important, though she hoped that the rugged range wasn't too far away by now.
"Oh, I was really far off huh. Though that does make sense. Like kits and stuff!" Adderpaw said actively engaging with the lesson. "What's the next one?"

Smolderpaw and Treestripe padded into the territory and out of camp, hoping to get some training done with other cats since loneliness is what leads to insanity.

The terrain was getting rockier - they were sure to get to Rugged Ranges by the time they'd gotten through the warrior code. To her surprise, snowflakes had begun to fall, melting as they hit the ground. The sun was beginning to rise, though it was hard to tell through the heavy clouds.

Snapfury had appeared now, so she supposed they could get started with their patrol. The late apprentice made her way into the territory, pausing when they reached a part that looked pretty dense with plants. "Uhh perhaps we'll find something here?" she asked, tipping her head sideways. So moss, thyme and yellow bells. Mistypaw gave a quick nod to her patrolmates, then split up to look for some of the herbs. Her one amber eye was alert as she scanned the territory, gaze landing on a patch of moss. She rushed over, carefully picking it up and holding a piece of it in her maw. If she didn't find anything else she would come back for the rest later.
Alright, time for the harder things - yellow bells and thyme..

"Oh...OH!...Oh......" Adderpaw felt her cheeks burn in embarassment as she heard the second rule. She had meet such a pretty and lovely cat around her age. She was so sweet and pretty and sweet-- Adderpaw shook her head. Luckily she had never been caught for chatting nicely with the other apprentice and well when she did a bunch of loners came in to try and maul everyone for another apprentice. "I wish that were different but I can understand why that wouldn't be a good thing. Could cause unwanted turmoil in the clans."
"Which all that makes me wonder. So we were fighting some loners and well afterwards we were told to kil-" Before Adderpaw could finish her sentence snow had started to fall. Her eyes went wide at this new phenomenon. "What... What is this white rain?" Adderpaw said with a concerned look as she walked to be besides Ripplepelt. She looked like a dust sweeper by how much her fur had poofed up. "Should... We go back?" Adderpaw said before looking behind her and seeing the strange rain there too. What was this?

still at the front of their group the tabby paused completely, having slowed down as they approached a more dense patch of land, and looked around. "yeah looks good, go look and then return to here immediatly. and dont go too far" he gave the other two a stern look, ignoring that mistypaw was closer to being twice his age than his age and that snapfury wasnt the youngest either. it was his patrol after all. at least he was told to take the other two. so it was his patrol. easy as.
he wasnt really one to act all high and mighty about leading a patrol but with all the rogues and exciles he would feel responsible if something happened anyway.
jayfrost watched the other two scurry off in search, making sure he was aware of the general direction they went, before dedicating himself to looking for the herbs.
moss, thyme and yellowbells..it was probably a good idea to look for the latter two. spotting a sliver of yellow further off he hurried over, completely missing the ditch the flowers were growing in and prompty sliding down into a bush of the yellow flowers.
smell it certainly did but he couldnt remember being told about the flowers smelling so he shook off the pedals that had rained down onto his pelt, ripped a few off just to be sure and made his way back to where they had parted. "i assume this is not it, dont ya think?" he meowed after dropping the flowers infront of his paws, slight irritation on full display through tense uncomfortable pose and tone. he felt gross to say the least, whatever flower that had been would surely be a pain to get out of his fur. sharp heavy scent assaulting his sense of smell and making the world around him even more bright and uncomfortable.

Minksplash's eyes clouded with thought, she didn't seem to see the pit in front of her, when she suddenly fell over the edge with a yelp. The pit wasn't deep but still. Minksplash looked up at the top. "Help" she mewed.
"hmm- to be quite honest i don't know how to help you Minksplash-. I've never delt with this before, there has to be something we can do although-" she felt helpless, a cat comes to her with an emergency and she's blank to help.

She heard her clan mate and in confusion turned around to see Minksplash in a pit, she was so much in her head she didn't even notice "OH MY STARCLAN IM SO SORRY I MEANT THE OTTERSPLASH SITUAION-I. oh who am i kidding-". she swiftly grabbed a branch in a way where she could climb up it, "im so sorry sometimes i think im just deaf-".

Minksplash climbed up the branch, heaving herself over the edge of the pit. "Thanks, and its alright . . Sometimes we all just get caught up in stuff . ." she mewed. "Now- back to the Ottersplash situation"
