"Ah, you know me too well," Doedapple grinned, chuckling slightly. "If you want to you can go first, I'd catch up afterwards. I know you probably don't want to listen to Birdsnow's random blabbering right now too."
Humming slightly once again, she pressed onto Birchpaw too, hoping to reassure her that everything would be fine, though perhaps she thought the opposite of it. But as Cocoonwillow said, of course, they could try and talk to Birdsnow about the punishments afterwards...
"Hm?" She glanced at her sister's wounds spread across her pelt. "Well, there's always a need for protection back in camp, right?" She volunteered to stay back and ensure no ambushes or predators lurked nearby during the fight.

´´I can´t, remember?´´ Birchpaw tilted her head. ´´I´m not allowed out of camp if a warrior isn´t with me.´´
The she-cat´s tail tip twitched. Personally, Fadingsun´s punishment was cruel, and she´d hate it if Birdsnow chose him for her Deputy. If anything, his sister, Dusklion, was way more fit for the position. Not only was Dusklion cheerful, but she spoke up when she thought it was right.
Her eyes narrowed as she watched Birdsnow thoughtfully. Perhaps the RiverClan Leader would like to go hunting with her and Doedapple after the meeting.
Birchpaw´s whiskers twitched and she turned back to Doedapple.
´´The battle had taken place in camp, Doedapple.´´

Pupils dilated so that the darks of her eyes matched the dark circles under her eyes as the leader stared down at the cats below. Ugh. There were so many cats to yell at and she felt like she was going to pass out. Or pass away.
"Before I start, I'm a little out of it so if I make a mistake or miss someone, feel free to correct me."
Reaching down, she stroked Rainpaw’s back as he joined her on the stone. Yeah, she would have to break him of that habit eventually since he was already almost warrior aged, but he was traumatized and seemed to need her, and honestly she needed him. That was her kid and- also currently the only thing keeping her from collapsing off the Floodstone. Not that she let that show, obviously. She had seen countless times where leaders showed weakness and then were torn apart. Not her. Absolutely not.
”I’m sure you all know by now that ThunderClan raided us a day and a half ago. I’m very proud of… how most of you fought. That was messy and bloody and eventually ThunderClan will pay dearly for what they’ve done to us. I saw so many of you show immense bravery and strength, and I’m very proud of those of you that put your all into defending our home.”
”Moonfoot, Pricklefoot, Troutfall, Duckshade, Creekpelt, Flutterpaw all lost their lives in the raid and their burial and vigil will be held tonight. There were multiple other former RiverClanners who showed up and gave their lives, and for that they will be allowed to be buried in the Thicket as well, but this doesn’t mean that those of you who returned will be welcomed back with open paws. If you don’t talk to me and explain yourselves asap, I’m kicking you out, I don’t care.”
Searching a couple of cats out in the crowd, she felt her broken tail lashing with annoyance. ”Duststorm. Mintslip. You will meet me in my den promptly after the meeting. Since you thought it was a good idea to attack your own Clanmates in the middle of a raid, I would suggest that you find it an even better idea to show up or I’ll be forced to track you down and drag you to the border myself. And if anyone else was problematic at the battle, feel free to report them to me, my deputy or the lionhearts- who I’ll be announcing later one.”
Oh yeah. There was some kit pretending to be an apprentice- that wouldn’t go. Absolutely not. Searching the young cat out, she kept her voice calm and gentle, but unwavering. ”Sunpaw. I don’t know how you became an apprentice because Larkstar didn’t make you one and neither did I, so you shouldn’t be leaving camp or training like you are an apprentice.” (ooc note - since you held your own apprentice ceremony, sunpaw’s ceremony doesn’t count and she will be remaining as Sunkit until you submit an official ceremony ) Birdsnow fixed her firm stare on the kit, brief frustration appearing on her face but not wanting to completely humiliate the young cat. But of course, her attention was captured by yet another fool.
Her ears pricked and she stared down at Doedapple. Some random cat who thought it would be wise to insult Birdsnow as the leader stood up her, exhausted, wounded and pissed off. ”Doedapple, you don’t have to listen to my ‘random babbling’. In fact, you can get the hell out if you’re going to disrespect me because frankly, I’m not in the mood.” Her frigid gaze darted to Birchbranch, not sure why the warrior was yapping so much and looking so pissed off but oh well. She’d kick her out too if she caused too many problems.
Searching a specific dark warrior out, she tried to lock eyes with her. ”I haven’t found candidates for medicine cats due to my ideal candidates disobeying my strict orders, so as I search for an official medicine cat and apprentice, I would like to ask Marigoldleap, as a former medicine cat yourself, if you’d be willing to take care of the Clans healing for a few weeks?”
Maybe cats would get pissed because she wasn’t picking a medicine cat. Especially since there were quite a few candidates; but she wasn’t going to pick someone who blatantly disobeyed her orders and then, in some cases, dared to try to go so far as guilt trip her and Fadingsun. Marigoldleap was the obvious choice, and she would stick by it.

Wait. Wait, wait, wait.
Doedapple hadn´t done anything, so why was Birdsnow yowling at her?
Birchpaw´s irritation hardened into anger at Birdsnow´s words, and her fur bristled. Her mind screamed, ´Jump up and defend your littermate´, but if she did, then Birchpaw would be yowled at, too.
Yet the she-cat couldn´t help but think it was all her fault. She´d gotten Doedapple into this mess. Doedapple wouldn´t have been yelled at if it hadn´t been for her.
Turning to her sister, Birchpaw forced herself to calm down. ´´I´m sorry I got you in trouble,´´ She whispered.
The dappled warrior gave her sister a sympathetic glance, then she yowled at Birdsnow as she got to her paws.
´´I´m sorry, I´m sorry!´´ Her amber eyes glistened with remorse. ´´Don´t exile my sister. Please. She doesn´t deserve it. If any cat does, it is certainly not Doedapple.´´
As long as she could get Birdsnow to stand down and let Doedapple remain a member of RiverClan, Birchpaw would be plenty happy. If not, she´d go with her.
Birchpaw was right on that account.
Even if she had said ´I do´, Birdsnow probably wouldn´t have believed her. She knew the leader had seen her tackle Drizzlecloud and save Frostpetal - or at least tried to. She still didn´t know whether Frostpetal would die or not.
Birchpaw shot a pleading look at Cocoonwillow - a look to get off of her tail and help get Birdsnow to let their littermate stay.
[ still on for the badger attack, blaze? birch could have cocoon go with her. ]
[ poppy, i don´t know whether this would count for birch to be addressed as birchpaw {because of her punishment} or birchbranch {because of the battle}, so i´m addressing her as birchpaw unless stated otherwise. ]

Moonpaw
Black and brown Tabby Siamese mix with orange eyes
Moonpaw by rust`rock
(you can ignore this if my prison purrk was accepted!! o7 @poppy but she does need a mentor and the allegiance change )
Moonpaw looked up as her nervousness took over her…was she one of the ones who was being kicked out? Would she be forced to leave…her home? If not then how would she be a warrior? She’s scared to fight, only thing she can do is swim and hide.

Eaglekit
RiverClan

Eaglekit glanced at Cobwebpaw when she chuckled at her, and the golden kit frowned petulantly. Did she look silly or something?? She glanced up at the Floodstone again. "'M fine," she meowed, kneading her paws into the ground. "Jus... on edge." She wanted to know the new high ranking positions, but refused to get her hopes up. She was still a kit, after all. Eaglekit cast another glance at Cobwebpaw, unable to stay upset for very long. "Ta think I'm almost old enough to be an apprentice..." She shuddered. "It's hard to believe."
When Birdsnow spoke again, Eaglekit paid rapt attention, following the leader's gaze as she called out certain cats for being nuisances. She called out cats who had just come back, and Eaglekit wondered anxiously if that included Rushwater. She hadn't seen him since the battle, either, and she didn't have much hope he would return. He seemed to have a habit of leaving her behind.
When Birdsnow announced a temporary medicine cat, Eaglekit was surprised, but pleased. Marigoldleap? She didn't recall the name. She glanced over at the cat Birdsnow mentioned, thinking. If Birdsnow thought it was a good choice, then Eaglekit supposed it was. The molly was being congratulated quietly, and Eaglekit found herself smiling softly in her direction. She just hoped the rest of the clan was nicer to her than they were to Tansypaw... would Marigoldleap let her hang out in the medicine cat den anymore? Probably not, especially since she would soon be an apprentice. She sighed, but found disappointment didn't stick to her. She just wanted everything to run smoothly, regardless if she trained to be a warrior or a medicine cat.
But then Birdsnow's words really hit her. Potential candidates who had disobeyed orders? Panic began to set in. She glanced at Cobwebpaw to gauge her reaction as well. Did that mean Cobwebpaw? Minkpaw? Her? Surely not, surely she hadn't even been a candidate to begin with. Who was Birdsnow talking about? Oh dear oh dear... Eaglekit began to do what she excelled at, which was overthink it.
Sweetsong listened, though she didn't speak out. Doing so would only invite Birdsnow's scorn onto her. It was bad enough her leader was discrediting her for merely talking to a lost outsider. Sweetsong knew she should be angry. To speak out on this unfairness...to plead her case. But the news, or at least the implication, that she had been one of the medicine cat candidates broke her heart to pieces. She had sullied her chance, ruined it because of her own efforts to be kind.
She didn't even understand how exactly she had disobeyed orders. She had confronted the kittypet...it wasn't her fault her leader and Fadingsun had come upon them so quickly. But just because their hackles weren't raised and claws unsheathed, they were being punished.
It was unfair, and Sweetsong didn't bother to hide her tears as she stared at Birdsnow from where she was crouched at the edge of the clearing. Doing her best to be a pebble. Small and insignificant once more.
Seabreeze
He/him | Riverclan Warrior | Moons: 15 | Purrks: Sweet as a Flower | The Collector | Ultimate Predator |
“Ocean waters rising above your neck
You feel the glass start to crack.”
Seabreeze looked up to the leader, ears forward and his body still as he paid rapt attention to her words. Grief welled up in his chest as she listed his fallen clan mates and he couldn't help but wonder if Cloverpaw would be the one to help guide and greet them. She would, he tried to comfort himself in that way, Cloverpaw would make sure they came to terms with what happened to them and they all died noble deaths protecting the clan. Still, it was so awful that those rats took them from the clan.
Birdsnow continued and Seabreeze felt horror flood his mind. What?! Warriors of their clan attacked their our team members during the raid? Why would they do that, it was confusing and a lot was happening but surely they couldn't have gotten that confused. His gaze traveled to the warriors and he felt the fur on his spine raise slightly, the tom's eyes narrowing at them, watching for any reaction or remorse to cross their faces. Birdsnow would deal with them, but how could they? Seabreeze felt betrayed by the cats even though he wasn't even the one attacked by them.
The sandy grey-blue tom shook his head to clear of the nasty thoughts, he didn't want to feel anger right now. He was so burnt out but...once more the tom looked to the listed members, he would have to keep a close eye on them. Especially if they went anywhere near the medicine den or nursery. There wasn't a whole lot that could give reasoning to their actions and Seabreeze didn't want them turning on Riverclan again against the most vulnerable.Ah, didn't Seabreeze just say he wanted his thoughts to turn away from negatives-
Seabreeze almost missed the next bit of news, but his ears flicked and he caught Birdsnow's words about a kit playing apprentice during the raid. Why was everyone being so reckless!? Kits shouldn't be out during that fight! By Starclan's name, Seabreeze didn't even think that young apprentices should be out there? Behind his eyes, as he squeezed them harshly shut, came the limp body of Cloverpaw. She was also young, probably only a bit older than Sunkit. He ducked his head and tried to keep his breathing relatively steady. After biting his tongue the warrior turned his gaze back to his leader.
The leader snapped rightfully at a warrior daring to talk bad about there leader right after a raid. When there needed to be a meeting to help calm the clan and organize it after such an event. They said she was babbling? Seabreeze lashed his tail, only to wince harshly at the sparks of pain that burned his spine in response. Hmph, he settled on huffing, Birdsnow handled it.
Marigoldleap, the tom purred as he thought, finally some good news. After a deep breath the tom looked around for the temporary medicine cat, happy that the clan could finally start feeling a bit more stable with someone named, error temporarily named, but named nonetheless. Cobweb, Minkpaw, and Spottedstream were doing a fantastic job but without an official or even unofficial cat things were sure to be starting to get confusing in the medicine den. Seabreeze should ask Adderpaw if she'd like to go on a patrol after this. Herb, as they needed them surely, or hunting as with so many warriors out of commission the warriors still would need to feed all the mouths.
"Congratulations, Marigoldleap, I'm happy that you're able to help Riverclan." The warrior wasn't really aiming for the other cat to hear him, as he didn't want to talk over Birdsnow on accident but he wanted to thank the warrior for stepping up to such an enormous and important task for the clan. He should ask if they would need any help with herbs or anything, surely getting tossed into such a role so quickly, while honorable, can be a cause for disorganization and a bit of a need for help.
After the warrior's den is fixed though, Seabreeze looked back to the den, it was looking much cleaner and most of the walls already looked more stable and the brambles would help a lot in the horrid case that something like this happens again. Adderpaw said that she had an idea for the roof and a cat like her is sure to have a good idea. Seabreeze wilted a bit, starting to feel guilty for his performance during the raid and then his lack of help for the building. He needed to do better, for Riverclan and for Cloverpaw.
(I'll do editing and the such later, am too eepy rn, I hope there isn't any super bad mistakes in here /-\)

Noticing Sweetsong padding off with tears in her eyes, Butterflywing glanced at Birdsnow atop of the Floodstone before getting to her paws and following the crestfallen warrior.
´´Sweetsong?´´
Butterflywing´s voice was soft, and she sat down beside her Clanmate, ginger-and-white fur glowing like flames in the sunlight.
