Thump. A singular blue eye cracked open to stare at the little calico kitten batting (and chatting) away at a sibling. At first, she’d thought Card was speaking to her, but thankfully not, so Strawberry would not have to go through the effort of replying. She could spend her time lazing around, so long as nobody noticed she was awake.

Comfortable with this idea, the patched she-kit further nestled into the family nest, eyes closing once more.

Horizonkit stared at Strawberrykit. “Hi, what ya doing?" She peered over her denmate. “Ya watching out for bad cats?" and then she batted the other kits face playfully sticking the tongue out.

GRACKLEKIT

The beige and grey kit stumbled through the nursery, dragging a twig between his jaws. His father might tell him not to run around with a stick in case he jabbed someone, but Gracklekit knew how to be careful! And besides, his father didn't know that this was a very special stick. In fact, it wasn't a stick an all! It was the claw of a member of TigerClan, and he was going to use it to defeat his enemies. Of course, he had to make some enemies first.

As he rounded the corner, a ball of fur launched itself toward him out of thin air. "AHH," he yelped, tripping backwards and falling on his tush with a soft 'oomph.' The other kit immediately began tossing questions at him. His initial instinct was to deny being scared, but then he had an even better idea. From his position seated on the ground, he flopped backwards, sticking his legs straight up into the air. He'd never seen a dead cat before, but he'd seen plenty of dead beetles. How different could it be. He stuck his tongue and responded, probably sounding like his head was under water.

"You've felled me!" he announced dramatically, stick falling from his mouth. "What a formidable opponent!" he added, opening one eye to spy on the other kit. Trying to be sneaky, he wriggled sideways, then chucked himself clumsily at Sneezekit. His sheathed paws aimed softly towards their side, trying to bowl them over.

"But I have the power of TigerClan!" he grinned victoriously, waving the stick in circles with dramatic flourishes of his head.

One swipe was all it took, and Strawberrykit was full-on hissing, fur puffing up with anger, sky-blue eyes snapping open with a mixture of surprise and alarm at the too-close, unfamiliar voice.

Seething, she was ANGRY. Strawberrykit recoiled, ears flat against her skull, lips pulled back in a silent snarl. Tiny claws dug into the moss below her, fluffy tail twice it's size and bristling. "Don't. Touch. Was sleeping."

Sneezekit grinned Victoriously as their victim had yelped with fright. They'd done it! They did the game right! And they'd spooked the other kit, just as they had hoped. And the other kit even fell over and threw his paws into the air, he was so spooked. 'Cept that this made Sneezy worry a little, 'cause what if they'd been so scary that they'd sent the kit right up to StarClan? Sneezekit was pretty darn scary, after all. But, well, that would make things a whole lot less Fun.

But then the other kit spoke, and Sneezekit was pretty sure that meant that he hadn't actually died. The confident expression returned to Sneezy's face as the other kit declared that he had been "felled", which they were pretty sure meant that they had got him real good! Yeah, I sure felled him! I'm awful Formidable, too, and now I bet the whole Clan knows it.

But then, something Unthinkable happened! The other kit Attacked Sneezekit! He wasn't even that felled after all! Sneezekit stumbled backwards, blinking in surprise. Oh, it was on. This kit would pay for his Transgression. They prepared their best insult with the biggest, fanciest warrior words they knew.

"You Underhanded Fiend!" Sneezekit cried--nay, Proclaimed! "I won't let you get away with that! 'Cause I have the power of LionClan on my side!" Maybe this other kit had a big stick with which to hit Sneezekit, but that was all he had! So Sneezekit pounced right back at the other's face, attempting to knock him over and drop his weapon! So there!

Grayheart was sleeping when she felt a jolt in her belly. She didn't get a chance to cry out before she rolled over in pain. Her kits! She longed to scream out to Ambermoon, for someone to help her...

Watertail passed by the nursery, the senior warrior noticed the queen on the floor and rushed over. Names names names.... "Greyheart! Are you alright?' Watertail meowed, gently grabbing her scruff and hauling her ever so gently into her nest. "Oh my your kitting." Watertail realized embarrassingly late, "I can help.... my mate kitted on her own and I helped her." Watertail meowed, the only part he didn't add was..... his mate had died. Watertail raced out of the den, coming back with a decently sturdy stick and some wet moss. "Alright, breath.... bite this when you feel its time to push." He soothed gently

She would have to say thanks to Cloudtail later, Grayheart obviously couldn't do it right now. The first kit was born, and Grayheart relaxed.

Watertail ran his tail along Greyheart's back soothingly, hoping the gentle massage would help the cramping and straining pain. "come one..... ones out....... there's at least two more." Watertail meowed encourgingly as he felt the queens stomach gently
