Heronheart padded beside his much smaller brother. They both looked so small compared to the river in front of them. The air here was much cooler than in the camp, he could only imagine how cold the water would be.
“I’ll get in the water with you, if it gets too cold or the current is too strong just say something and I’ll grab your scruff,” he said compassionately with a lick to his brother’s head.

Heronheart watched his brother swim towards him. It wasn’t the best he had ever seen but at least he was staying above the water and not drowning.
“It gets easier with time,” he called out as Treepaw swam closer to him. “You should treat yourself to something delicious when we get back to camp,” he added on encouragingly.
