Hailfang padded into the familiar clearing, it was home for him of course. Unfortunately, he'd gotten wind of Riverclan marking him missing. He hadn't been around much, but all he had to do was speak to Lionstar. He'd be fine.. right? Well, Hailfang hoped he would be.

[BEAR.]

"Hailfang."

Lionstar approached the absentee warrior with narrowed eyes. "What have you been doing?" It was carefully worded, because Lionstar was genuinely curious what Hailfang was up to that was more important than being around for his Clan.

Hailfang jumped when he heard Lionstar, was that anger in his voice..? Oh, he'd done it now. Hailfang turns to face Lionstar, "Uhm, Lionstar. I've been.. well, I got kind of.. lost during the patrol.." He looked down at his paws, defeated. He looked like a kit that had just been yelled at, he sounded like one too. At least, that's what he heard in his own voice.

[BEAR.]

"You were gone before the patrol." he reminded him. "Showing up for it has been the only time I've seen you, and you vanished after that too. When I assigned Stingpaw to you, I expected you to be more involved in training him.. not avoiding him and the Clan altogether." "One in a half-moon" appearances didn't fly with Lionstar.. and he wanted Hailfang to understand that. He wasn't impressed with his lack of involvement in the Clan.

Hailfang winced at this information. Lionstar wasn't wrong. He'd been making random disappearances. He could barely remember half of what he did at times, but mostly, Hailfang had just been out exploring. It was stupid to be, of course. So what would he tell Lionstar? 'Oh I was out exploring like a tiny kit.' That wouldn't end well whatsoever. Hailfang took a deep breath, held it for a moment, and then released it. "I've.. been off just uhm, wandering the territory." Yeesh, that sounded way better in his head. Lionstar wouldn't take that as an answer, he was sure. "I know it's.. well, stupid. But I just kind of get bored and go on.. long expeditions.." Again, sounded WAY better in his head. All he wanted to do now, was crawl into a hole and stay there forever.

"You're right, that is stupid." There wasn't an excuse to be 'bored' when Hailfang had an apprentice under his tutelage. "I'd recommend spending some more time with your apprentice than on some random journey to the outskirts." This wasn't.. really a suggestion, but Lionstar liked to act like Hailfang had a choice in the matter. If he valued being a RiverClan cat, his behavior should change. "Speaking of which.. why don't you go find him now, take the poor kid out for some training? I'm sure he's plenty restless, being cooped up without his mentor to train him."

Splashfury padded over at Reedwhisker's invitation. She gave him a warm tiger looking smile. "I'm pretty full but thank you. My apprentice is still trying to sort things out with Bumblebelly so I'm waiting for them to be done." Splashfury started out, "If you would like me to talk to you then I will. Oh no, you are fine."

Watching Reedwhisker get nervous about something, she laid down next to him and waited for them. She didn't care how long but hopefully Reedwhisker was doing okay.

Reedwhisker licked his nose and let himself relax.

"I'm sorry about my behaviour, I don't know what came over me." he meowed, embarrassment flooding his pelt. "But that's good to hear! Maybe we can do some training together."

"Apprentice trouble again?" Lionstar questioned teasingly as he approached his brother. "Beginning to think you two can't be paired up together, it seems to always end in someone getting puffy."

More seriously, he flattened his ears back. "I'll have a talk with him. Why don't you take a breather? Once you're feeling up for it, maybe we both can hit the territory." He was curious to see how Koistream was holding up with his leg.. maybe they could test his battle prowess or something. He was itching to get a break from his duties-- it felt like the last moon was wearing him thin again.

Puffy! Puffy?! Koistream poured out. The fluffy pure white mane of his throat did indeed puff out. He was not puffy...

"I caught a singular squirrel... I am not worn out," He meowed, a slight sting to his words. He wasn't puffy but prickly wouldve been a more suited word for the guarded tom.

A stroll -- well, a hop for him -- didn't sound too bad. Camp was getting a bit... stuffy for his liking. He nodded, gnawing on the inside of his cheek. "Lead the way," Koistream hummed, turning on his three paws.
