Honeykit blinked around at the cats around him, horribly offended that him leaving camp was viewed as a behavioral issue and not a five moon old breaking down after losing his father. “My daddy DIED. I wasn’t looking for an adventure or trying to have fun, I was trying to find my daddy. Thank you for trying to help, m-mister, but kit classes won’t bring my daddy back. Guards at the camp entrance won’t bring my daddy back. NOTHING will, my daddy is gone and I’m sorry I ran away just everyonestopYELLING-!” His voice turned up a pitched as the kit buried himself under Wingkit. Maybe he was weak, pathetic. Troublesome, even, for not being able to handle this. But he was still tired from the territory and very, very stressed.
he met his Auntie Lark's eye and while he didn't have the brightness in him to smile, he blinked at her. Trying to telepathically communicate that he wasn't mad at her and none of this was her fault. Because it wasn't. Really really. It wasn't Larks, it wasn't Wing's, it wasn't Rush's... it was his. His fauly.
His voice came out again as he poked his head out from under Wingkit briefly, trembling words not travelling very far but hopefully travelling to the cats who were important. "I didn't go with the... the burier cats. I got lost and I just wanted to find my dad but I went the wrong way. No one lost me and um.... I guess no one stopped me in camp because I was too fast. It's my fault. It's my fault, please stop yelling at each other." Desperation laced his tone as he shrunk back against his brother, the usually peppy, hyper kid very chastened and very, very scared.
If his brother wasn't out here, he'd be sprinting back to the nursery right now. He just wanted to get away from the YELLING.
The eyes that darted in the direction of Larkstar's throat were not lost on Birdsnow, and a warning rumble came from the ragdoll's throat. Surely Ottersplash wouldn't be stupid enough to try to kill the leader. "You'll fight no one, but if you dare to, you will lose. Very quickly and very pathetically. I will advise you one more time to stand down, I suggest you take this merciful paw I'm offering you before things take a more unfortunate turn." Birdsnow kept her muscles tense and ready, briefly wondering if the Clan would use this as an excuse to publicly murder Larkstar and herself. She didn't understand. Why did these cats treat her leader so horribly? Why did they not give her the respect she deserved? Why were they so determined to not give them a chance? Frustration rippled through her body, and Birdsnow desperately wanted a change, but she didn't know how to change it. Everything she and Lark did was judged and scorned. Why?
.
Ottersplash seemed to stand in thought for a few seconds, her gaze softening. Then her gaze hardened again and she growled. "You really doubt my ability to fight?" she hissed, her tail lashing angrily. "You shouldn't doubt me so easily." she snarled. She turned around to look at the rest of RiverClan, her gaze watching the clan. "RiverClan! We all know that Larkwing is inexperienced, and shouldn't be our leader! And those cats that choose to align themselves with Larkwing are fools! She yowled loudly. "So who is with me to help take down Larkwing!" She yowled loudly. She hoped the clan would help, and she expected at least some allies . .

Creekpelt looked up, a scowl on his face. "Otter, shut your ugly trap and stuff it in a badger's den! The only fool here is you." Creek was in a bad mood, and this idiot was not helping it.

"Hey, come on, idiot! The hell is this about?" Snapfury realized he had almost did it and fixed himself. Larkstar's a leader. You don't need experience to be a leader." He said.

Snowclaw felt a hiss escape him as he rose. So, it was Ottersplash who was responsible for ThunderClan's poisoning! He flicked his tail, angrily as he felt his claws unsheathe. Now she was defying their leader? Thatt was making him more angry. "Traitor!" he yowled.

IvoryNight stood up, his eyes narrowing
'If you don't shut your trap I'll do it for ya. LarkStar is young and is doing great for her age, and we should all be helping her as much as we can.'
Blah, blah, blah. With a sharp tone and a glare, Wingkit let out a small hiss towards the deputy. "I don't wants to talk to you. Don't come near mes or my brother." he spat, fur fluffed up. Everything was loud now, and all he'd wanted to go was bring attention to his missing brother. But now there were yowls and threats and another bigger cat hissing at him that she could silence him. He bared his teeth at her and glared - however his heart was starting to pitter-patter too fast in his chest and it was making him breathless.
Sweeping his gaze from the deputy the tom caught the look his aunt through him. It was apologetic, and for a brief moment he regretted bringing this up now. His glare faltered for a moment and he looked at her, almost scared, before the glare returned and he hunched closer to his brother. Maybe he'd go talk to her later or something.
Over all of it though his ears had been perked for Rushwater. The only cat he trusted right now outside of his brother and Pristy. Wingkit turned to look at the tom, who spoke calmly to his aunt. He did his best to shove down the bewildered look when he was called "infamous for following uninvited", whatever that meant. It didn't sound good, so he grumbled under his breath.
But that was all forgotten when he heard what the warrior said next. He'd... lost a brother? His dad was... Rushwater's brother?? Like Larkstar was? That meant...
...Rushwater was his uncle? He had more kin in the Clan? Was that why he had been so quick to help? So quick to find Honeykit?
Suddenly the meeting was forgotten, and Wingkit nudged his brother, concern for him after he'd spoken up. "Honeys... Honeys it's not your fault, okays? It's the warriors. They're supposes to watch camp. Not your fault." He'd done his best to stand over his brother, protect him from the vicious meeting, and while he stayed over his brother, paws wrapped around him to keep Honeykit buried safely in his fur, his eyes kept darting up to Rushwater, pale blue-green eyes round and wide. The had a hint of disbelief in them, but Wing couldn't find any fault in what the older tom said. He had no reason to lie...
Icestrike stops and turns, his tail drooping at Honeykit’s cries. Wingkit’s concern.
“Hey, kiddos, it’s ok. None of this is your fault. It’s ok to cry.” Icestrike curls his tail around the two kits. He licks the top of their heads, trying to help them feel safe.
What Rush revealed doesn’t exactly faze the elder. It’s a surprise, to be sure, but he doesn’t exactly have a reason to have an opinion on it. That is a family matter. He hopes the kits can work it out later, in a safer environment.
But Ottersplash. Icestrike shakes his head at Ottersplash and tries to shield the kits’ view of her. His priority is to protect the kits. Not fight. Don’t fight. He forces his claws to stay sheathed.

Ottersplash growled. Everyone here seemed to not be on her side. She shot a glare at Larkwing, and the rest of the clan. "I guess you all are not on my side. she hissed. "I guess you all have won . . I can't win against you. Think what you want about me. I don't care." She sheathed her claws, and turned, her tail dragging along the ground, and her head hung low. She slowly padded to the back of the camp, surrounding herself in shadow. "Someone just end my suffering and send me where I belong . . Alone . . In darkness. ." she muttered to herself softly. Was she going to be exiled? Probably. Was she going to be reported to Bumblestar? Probably. Was she going to be killed? Most definitely.

"At least you know when to stop!" Snapfury hissed, calming himself down immediately afterward.

*-Lark'star'-*
She/her | 19 moons | Mind Reader - PERM ACTIVE A sleek dilute tortie she-cat with green eyes
There's so many voices, but Lark is getting good at blocking most of them out by now. Otterspash is threatening her again (what else is new?), but Birdsnow steps in to defend her, and a swelling of gratitude floods the leader's chest at this gesture. Among the noise, Honeykit speaks up, blaming himself over and over and it's all Lark can do to not rush over - Wingkit probably wouldn't let her close anyway, and she'd deserve it. The next thing to catch her attention is the voice that's been silent all along - Rushwater.
As soon as he starts speaking, Lark snaps her head around, ears perked and facing in his direction, her focus solely on him as he explains what had happened. His explanation had made sense, and, honestly, it sounded exhausting for everyone involved so she couldn't really fault him for not seeking her out sooner.
"You're not the only one who lost a brother that day," he says and that causes Lark pause because... what? What was he implying? Thoughts and scenarios flew around in her mind, one idea quickly getting replaced by the next until she was left with what was undoubtedly the truth. Rushwater is her brother.
The thought doesn't seem to fit right, doesn't slot neatly into her brain where it should because if he was family she would know. She was certain she would know. No... no she doesn't believe that part, everything else she believes and, despite not being able to detect any lie in his words, she will not believe him. Not yet. Not until- she's not sure, but she doesn't believe it.
She can't dwell on that for too long, however, because her attention is needed elsewhere immediately. Ottersplash, the vile, slippery, conniving imbecile just has to say something again, this time a blatant challenge, calling her legitimacy as a leader a lie, striking her insecurities about what a poor job she'd been doing in this position and Lark has had it. She shoves herself in front of the cat, pushing past Birdsnow and barring her teeth at the creature that stands in front of her now, spitting nothing but filth.
"Take the kits out of here," she calls to the elders and younger apprentices with no training - they do not need to see this. "Ottersplash," she spits the name out like it's poison, like if she doesn't say it with as much malice as she can muster the world will crumble beneath her feet, "I'm going to give you one chance to leave here with your life. Go. Now. Or, so help me, StarClan, I will tear you apart." Silky soft and hostile voice, low, and yet carrying around the gathered cats. She's sick and tired of the disrespect. If she needs to act like Dawnstar or, even worse, Bumblestar, to get some of these cats to take her seriously, then that's what she'll do.
