Gone. They had lost Beanpaw due to the wound on his neck. The guilt hung heavy over her as she made her way to Sleepy Thicket with the body, knowing it was best to bury the missing apprentice. She wasn't sure yet what she would tell her brother, but she knew she would need to tell Breezy the fate of his apprentice at least. Making her way to RiverClan's graveyard she realized she could do two birds with one stone.
"You wanna explain to your mentor your sneakin' around, or should I?" the deputy grunted with a disappointed look towards Dewpaw, slowing her pace. They were close enough to where the warrior could spot them now. "Either way, when we get back to camp, you're not leavin' it for the next half moon, understand? Apprentices aren't allowed outside by themselves, 'n you could've been killed alongside Beanpaw by that ShadowClan rat. It's dangerous to be out 'n about without a warrior, that's why we've got these rules in place."
Letting the fallen body of the apprentice slide off her back, the deputy set to work on digging out a grave, eyes flickering between Dewpaw and Caveclaw every once in awhile.
[ Caveclaw - @IDIOTICBEAN101 ] [ Dewpaw - @CollapsingStars ] [ Beanpaw - @PINTO BEAN - so you're aware that beanpaw is being buried since it was determined he would pass away on the way back to camp ]
[ wanted to get this out since its set prior to the raid! ]

Dewpaw glanced at Caveclaw, just kind of wide eyed. Her muzzle and paws stained with red after she had attempted to stop the bleeding on Beanpaw. She slowly walked over to Caveclaw, she glanced up at her mentor. "I walked away- I shouldn't have. I don't even remember what I was after. I'm sorry for walking away-" Dewpaw glanced over to the body, to Dusklion, then back to her mentor.
Caveclaw looked at Dusklion, the body of Beanpaw, and then Dewpaw.
They were trying to find the right words.
"Dewpaw, next time, stick by me." She said, pushing her voice to be calm "Once you are able to leave camp again, I hope this doesn't happen again. Let's head back."
That was Dewpaw's first tome seeing a body, more stress wasn't necessary.
It was clear the lesson had bean learned.

Dewpaw stared blankly at Caveclaw, barely processing what they had said until she heard the word "return." She accepted her punishment, but she couldn't accept what just had happened. Nevertheless, she begun walking towards camp. Her eyes were wide and barely blinked. Her tail was down and her face became expressionless. This was the first time she had seen a murder, let a lone a body.

Heroneye
| she/her | RiverClan | Lionheart |
Heroneye blinked with surprise as Softpaw suddenly ran up to her, pleading with her to allow the apprentice to join the patrol. But, well, it wasn't a bad thing. It would be nice to have an opportunity to show her a piece of RiverClan's territory--RiverClan's real territory, that is. Plus, she was pleased to see her apprentice so eager to volunteer in helping the Clan.
"If Duskleaf gave you the okay, I have no problems with it," said Heroneye with a passive flick of her tail. "Just don't stray too far from us when we're outside camp." She frowned a bit at this; she couldn't help but feel as though she was being bossy or overbearing whenever instructing her apprentice. She supposed that was just the job of a mentor, at the end of the day, but that didn't mean she had to enjoy it, or find herself worthy of such a position.
That being said, at the end of the day, Heroneye's main concern was trouble from any other cats. She hoped they wouldn't encounter any outsiders or cats from other Clans who hadn't yet gotten the memo of RiverClan's return, but if she did, she had zero interest in getting into any conflicts with them.
In any case, seeing as all of her patrolmates had arrived, Heroneye began to lead them outside camp with a wordless nod of acknowledgement.
Finally, back in RiverClan territory. Heroneye could scarcely believe it, really. Upon arriving in the Sleepy Thicket, Heroneye was suddenly reminded of the rumors surrounding that place. Even as a kit, those old queens' tales of a headless ghost roaming RiverClan territory never seemed to hold much water. Still, though, she couldn't help but be hit with a pang of something like nostalgia as she padded through the supposedly haunted stretch of land. She supposed that only made sense, though; RiverClan, in all its flaws and abnormalities, was nothing less than her birthplace.

Softpaw nodded gently, obidently waiting for her mentors next instructions. Softpaw looked around, her eyes wide in awe as she purred. "It's so much nicer than in the dumb mountains." Softpaw mused in a gentle tone. Her green hues widened as she saw more and more. "Jeez. How is training going to change though- oh wait. bad timing. Sorry!" She mewed

It's Wisteriawren! They gave the she-cat a smile as well, happy that she seemed better than before. Does this mean her problems were fixes? They couldn't know for sure but at least it seems to have lessened even if by a little. Whether she moved on or got help. Now, all of them were here. Sunsetgleam followed Heroneye towards the Thicket, their paws moving evenly above the dirt. Not seeing plain old rocks everywhere they move their eyes was a decent thing
Ah, clan territory. The clan's scent on the Thicket was something else that went missing after 2 whole moons of residing up in the mountains. But that's why they were here now. They've yet to encounter the headless ghost rumored to live there or figure out how exactly he lost his head, maybe they'l figure out someday. A cat without a head doesn't necessarily mean the cat's bloodthirsty. He could even carry some interesting facts.
The Thicket was a place that's weird in general. Haunted or not. Imagine going on a normal patrol and then finding an outsider with the knowledge of herbs that's willing to teach you some. Yea, not normal. Gosh, they still remember that somehow. He didn't even cause any ruckus. They can't help but ponder over where that cat could possibly be now. They watched Softpaw look through the place in awe though they decided to not say much.
Her fur was prickling, standing on edge, a chill creeping down her spine. Why? Wisteriawren had no clue at all, actually. It was just a… feeling. Something in the air here. Sleepy Thicket… she hasn’t been here before RiverClan had to move away, but it was true that she’d probably note this place down to return to eventually.
Trailing after the rest of her patrolmates, Wisteriawren briefly strayed from the path when no eyes were on her, trailing after a bright blue butterfly. On instinct, she reached out for it, pupils sharpening as she pinned it down, trapping it lightly. For a moment, Wisteriawren internally rejoiced — but the feeling of it fluttering helplessly had her releasing it, watching as it flitted away.
Small steps. Soon, she’d learn hunting, on her own. Through trial and error, with her… condition, since no one had offered to help so far. That was alright, though. She didn’t mind, not anymore. Attention drifting back, Wisteriawren had just turned towards her Clanmates when she could have sworn a shadow flitted at the edge of her vision, and the former kittypet jolted with surprise, hurrying to catch up with her Clanmates. “…did anyone see that?”
