Re: RiverCLan Temporary Medicine Cat's Den
@Mauve
The tuxedo cat tumbled into the den, she looked around weary she felt the herbs and their strong scent tear up her eyes, she took another step and flicked her ear then instantly regretted it she felt it sting again it had been so long swine the battle, but, she couldn’t help but think, others need this more then I do.. but she also knew it would be worse if she waited she sat down her tail over her paws then she realized she was in tremendous pain, she could feel her ear stinging and pain spreading through her body like a knife or a claw all over again, “Heatherfur?” She grunted through clenched jaws, she began to let the pain set in with no distraction it felt worse by the moment. She couldn’t stand the stress she was actively stopping herself from clawing up the floor, like a nest or a moss ball she instead batted the floor with her paws, claws sheathed she seemed to relax a bit but the pain was still so clearly there she continued to wait for the medicine Cat.
The slash in her ear was not a pretty wound her eyes became glazed with fear thinking about it if somebody were to see her scent it would be a tinge of fear and pain stronger than you could imagine the slash the SkyClan cat had left had beef crusted with blood almost infected the wound easily smelled.. sour at this point and it honestly looked like it might have killed her but Echopool is a strong lay and she would never let a wound like this get the best of her

Re: RiverClan Temporary Medicine Cat's Den
Even the feline was unsure of where he was. Cold, confused, wavering on the edge of consciousness. Frostflight couldn't help but let out a strained whine as his body shook with spasm from the white hot burning pain. Thankfully, his wounds had stopped bleeding, clotting messily into his pale grey fur. Though what was originally thought to be deep gashes turned out to only be moderate, but either way the warrior had still lost a lot of blood. Even the make-shift dressing he was given during the move from the battle had been soaked through. Doing it's job, I guess. Another groan of pain sounded from his throat, his claws extending and retracting as he stabilized his body, mustering every ounce of energy to keep himself upright. He wasn't dead yet, nor would he be, but Frostflight felt tired. Tired down to the core of his bones, his soul. They weren't home, they weren't in Riverclan anymore, though that wasn't necessarily a bad thing to him. "Heatherfur? Are you here?" He meowed weakly, his body shaking slightly. Frostflight had blindly followed the other injured cats into the medicine den, well, he could only hope this is where it was. The stale scent of the syndicate was still prevalent, screwing up his face in disgust as well as pain, but it was slowly being covered up by the scent of Riverclan and herbs. The feline didn't know the relatively new medicine cat that well, but he hoped she knew something that would help him.

Numb.
That was the best emotion to describe Heatherfur as she trudged into the makeshift den that Rowanflower had assisted with creating, dropping off the last herb bundle. Every fiber in her body ached, her muscles screaming at her to rest. She felt weary and shaky, gritting her teeth as she reared up on her hind legs to slide in the last bundle of daisies into one of the top crevices. As she came back down and landed on her paws, a cough escaped her lungs, racking her whole body. When was the last time she had slept? Heatherfur felt a bit delirious, flashbacks of her apprentice days and rigorous warrior training keeping her up at unnatural hours of the night. This was a different exhaustion, one that maxed her out mentally as well. Mixed emotions and thoughts swam in the RiverClan medicine cat's mind as she sat back on her haunches, taking a brief moment to close her eyes and gather her strength back up. Her shoulders moved up and down with each breath she drew in, feeling herself come back down with every exhale. It's all going to be alright.
"Thank you for your help, Daydream," Heatherfur murmured, opening her eyes to reveal her own shimmering green gaze, resting it momentarily on the ShadowClan medicine cat before resorting to staring up at the den ceiling. "I really hope this isn't the path StarClan wishes for us to tread. I can't imagine RiverClan surviving here that long." It was true. This old territory that had once belonged to the Dusk Syndicate - and was still capable of digging a pit into Heatherfur's stomach - was dirty and vacant. Between herself and Daydream, they had managed to bring most of her supply before the fighting reached her den. The flash of claws and teeth, nipping at her heels as she raced away, making sure the rest of her Clanmates got out safe before she dared go back and help with her herbs. There were still some small scratches along her flank, but nothing that Heatherfur was too concerned with. Instead, she returned her gaze to Daydream, grief and exhaustion swirling about together. "You don't think Goldenstar will discipline you for helping me, do you?" She didn't know the ShadowClan leader well enough to know if that was something he would do, but she knew Daydream. They were the oldest medicine cat in the forest now - if Goldenstar decided to punish them for upholding the medicine cat specific code of conduct, well, then he was even more mouse-brained than Heatherfur had originally thought.
|
¨id like to see him try,¨ they answered seriously. they would refuse any punishment goldenstar. as really, he couldnt punish them. they were a medicine cat, they werent involved in wars and rivals, they had no say in this. driving a clan out this close to leaf bare with no herbs was asking for them to die. and if goldenstar argued with them about it, then so be it. they felt so tired from everything. not just physically, but it was just emotionally draining for all of this to happen. they still didnt know what was going to happen to riverclan, but daydream would sneak across the borders if they had to. ¨everything will be okay soon, i promise.¨ they mewed quietly, still catching their breath slightly from running here along with riverclan. they would need to be going soo to catch up with their own clan. ¨atleast i know where riverclan is. ill still be able to train you..though i would tell fallenstar. just so he doesnt look at me as a threat,¨ they explained, placing the last of the herbs against the makeshift den. it wasnt.riverclan..and it wasnt home either, but it was better then nothing.

Re: RiverCLan Temporary Medicine Cat's Den
@killer kaleb!
Stark against the darkness of the den, Frostflight swayed gently back and forth on his haunches, his vision blurry from pain. He had hoped Heatherfur would have come immediately at his call... but a part of him understood that plenty of others were in need of her assistance. Not as bad as me though, he thought bitterly, his tail whipping back and forth pushing aside loose debris on the den floor. A wave of guilt washed over the warrior immediately after the thought. He didn't mean that. At least, not with that much venom to the thought, though his bad attitude could have partly been due to his wounds... not to mention the distraught and anxiety filled thoughts that wormed their way through his brain. He hadn't even had the chance to clean the dried blood from his fur yet! It was the last thing on his mind though as he absentmindedly lowered himself to the ground, careful not to reopen the wounds on his belly. I have to stay strong, Frost reminded himself gently, inhaling a nice deep breath. The gashes burned with a white hot sting, obviously still irritated from where the flesh had been torn away. He clenched his teeth, grunting in agitation as he shifted into a more comfortable position.

Clambering up onto the bank, he plopped the minnow onto the ground between his paws.
"I caught it!! I'm actually good at something!" he squeaked, eyes sparkling in happiness.

"Good Lightpaw! Good!" She praised her apprentice. Even though the victory wasn't very big it was still a victory.

"Can we do something else now?" Lightpaw asked, bouncing on the back of his paws with nerves. He looked over at Otterleg, eyes glowing. He couldn't wait to show off all the neat stuff Otterleg was teaching him.

Re: RiverClan Temporary Clearing
@Empress Of Evil
[Gloating Wars X3]
A certain black-and-white furred she-cat sat near the back of what was now regarded as the clearing. She shifted uncomfortably on the hard unfamiliar dirt, her tail twitching irritably back and forth. She remembered the days of her travel as a young cat all too well, and Riverclan’s move to a new territory had brought all of those horrible memories rushing back.
Finally giving up on trying to get some sleep, Settingsun got up her paws, padding to a different end of the clearing. There was softer grass over here, abandoned now that most cats had retired to their dens. It was late, and Settingsun knew she needed to rest, but she was uneasy. She didn’t like the thought of going to sleep in this unfamiliar place, her fur was on edge. Her memories now vivid in her mind, and though she was a lot smaller then, she was still scared.
But she would never admit that to anyone.
To pass some time, Settingsun decided to check how her wounds were doing. They weren’t battle-fresh anymore, and had scanned over. But one in particular, the one on her cheek, was really bothering her. Auroraflame had gotten her good there. She rememberd slowing when aiming a blow st the Skyclan deputy, wondering for a simple moment of what was happening around her, and within her, was really right. She’d droped her guard for a second, and her opponent had scored a winning blow. Settingsun remembered every detail of the fight all to vividly, stillproud she’d been able to inflict some wounds on the experienced warrior. Which just showed how experienced she was herself. Training had definitely paid off. Even though most of it was in her own.
Settingsun gently locked a paw and ran it over her cheek, feeling the indents in her skin, and the rough patches of ripped fur surrounding the newly forming scars. She only wished that the scar would t be too noticeable. Settingsun did have insecurities, and she prided herself in being a mildly attractive cat. She worried that the scars might make her seem... well... too tough for the liking of any tomcat. Settingsun knew she wanted a mate and kits one day, she just didn’t know when that day would be. Or who it would be with. She only hoped he wouldn’t care much about looks.

Re: RiverClan Temporary Medicine Cat's Den
(These RP's will be separate as Daydream is just helping Heatherfur as she first moves in, and the healing RP's will be taking place over the next couple days ^^ Just to clarify!)
@killer kaleb!
In the chaos of everything that had happened, Heatherfur had momentarily forgotten that she was still training to be a medicine cat. The past pawful of days had made her feel more apart of RiverClan and her new duty than ever before, and it was only now that she realized how much more she had to learn. "I'm afraid of what will happen to my Clanmates due to my lack of experience and our new territory. What if..." she began, but had to stop. A lump formed in her throat as she thought of cats possibly dying because of her inexperience. It wasn't like she could ask Daydream to stay until all of RiverClan's warriors were healed from the battle. This was something she would have to face alone, putting faith in the knowledge she already had. She would have to trust in her own paws and in her warrior ancestors, hoping that they had known what they were doing when they diverted her journey from WindClan warrior to RiverClan medicine cat.
"Yes. You have cats in ShadowClan that need to be tended to," Heatherfur agreed, knowing that there were probably warriors in Daydream's own Clan that were wondering where their medicine cat was. Cats with their own injuries that needed healing and required Daydream's expertise. ShadowClan, though not driven from their home and left to die, needed to be repaired and healed as well, and for a moment a brief feeling of jealous tickled the she-cat's heart. It was apparent to her how close she'd felt herself getting to Daydream, surprising her due to her general dislike towards ShadowClan in general. "I'll let Fallenstar, and make sure he understands that you are welcome here whenever you wish," she replied, making a note to speak to the leader after things calmed down. "Do you need me to walk with you back to ShadowClan?"
@~Spook Storm~
She barely had a moment to herself after Daydream had left before her den became active. The first to stumble in was a warrior she knew by the name of Echopool. The black and white she-cat appeared dazed, blood trickling from a wound evident in her ear, and Heather was quick to rush over. The first of many... she thought to herself, green eyes round with concern as she laid her tail across the molly's back, guiding her over to the makeshift herb wall. "Don't worry, right this way," she mewed, instruction the feline to sit while she searched for the marigold. Her and Daydream had been able to bring pretty much all of it, and thanks to RiverClan's former marshy territory she had been able to stock up on quite a bit - the trick now was to make it last in a territory where little to no herbs grew.
"This might sting a bit," Heatherfur explained as she began to chew on the leaves, creating a thick pulp that piled onto a spare leaf. "But it will stop any infection. Which is good - especially around here." She couldn't stop the bit of disdain in her voice that they had been forced out of the beautiful swampy territory into a dusty and disgusting wasteland. Regardless, she lifted one paw gently to Echopool's ear, dabbing with soft gentle touches. Once enough had been placed on the open part of the wound, it was easy for the RiverClan medicine cat to wrap a small amount of cobwebs around the base. At least there is plenty of that around here, she thought to herself, wiping the excess back onto the spare leaf that held the untouched marigold. "Do you need any poppy seeds for the pain?" she asked.
@Dust
Heatherfur instantly recognized the next voice that stepped into her den, and her attention momentarily snapped over to it. Frostflight. This was the warrior that Jaybreeze had told her about, and she had helped to RiverClan's new camp. For a brief moment, she felt guilt claw at the bottom of her heart for forgetting that he needed immediate treatment. There hadn't been any time to treat him at the old camp, and instantly the tabby rushed over, offering her shoulder in order to help the young tom over to a freshly made nest. "Easy there, Frostflight. It's gonna be alright." As she waited for the tom to make himself more comfortable in the nest she had provided for him, the medicine cat began to mix together a few marigold leaves, some daisy, and tormentil. She had only applied daisies to the underside of Frostflight's belly back at the old camp, held together with a bundle of cobwebs that had taken up a forth of the storage she had. But it had gotten the warrior here, and after a few comforting words and pieces of advice from Daydream, convinced Heatherfur that it would be enough for the journey to wherever RiverClan ended up. "Don't move," she instructed, her gaze stern as she made sure Frostflight understood before she began to carefully remove the bloodied and disfigured temporary bandage.

Gentlepaw will be better than that, and Chestnutfall was to make sure of it. “So,” The tabby-spotted warrior perked up. “For your first day as an apprentice, I believe it's important to teach you all about the warrior code.” His green orbs sparkled kindly at his young apprentice, tail flicking lightheartedly as they walked together. “Can you tell me anything you already know about it? It's okay if you don't know everything, that's what I'm here to help with.” Chestnutfall hoped to be making a good impression on Gentlepaw. He'd hate to have another bad relationship with his apprentice.

The grey spotted tabby followed close behind the other, Sapphire blue optics canvased the territory. It wasn't like their old territory, he liked that one better. His nose wrinkled as new smells stabbed at nostrils. Stinky Dusk Syndicate. He stopped, but only for a second, to examine a lone flower that decided to blossom in the barren wasteland. The snowy based, bulky tom poked at it, than continued on, deeming it just an ordinary plant. As his mentor began to speak, Gentlepaw picked up the speed, now walking side by side with the brown tabby. His ears swiveled as he continued to speak, but once he mentioned 'Warrior Code' the spotted tabby let out a huff and sped up, now trotting through the territory. "That's easy. Most important rule is to not kill anyone. Really that's all you need to remember, the rest is just gibberish." he huffed, turning on his heels and sitting himself down abruptly, dust clouds kicking up around him. He had already been informed of the warrior code, he didn't really care for it though, it was nothing more but a list of things he couldn't do, and there were a lot of things he already couldn't do. He just found it boring, there was no need to go over it.
