Acornfall jolted awake, leaping to his paws and precariously tumbling out of the nursery where he had been napping with his family. The new father was still...rather star-struck at the concept of being a father. And sleeping in the warrior's den was practically torment, he could never get comfortable now. He was too used to sharing a nest with Briarmask. He straightened out as he went, eventually reaching Wolfhawk and dipping his head. Oak leaves and yarrow. Yarrow was a tall plant with white flowers that bloomed in clusters. Should be easy enough!

He was...less than thrilled about returning to the creek, but it is what it is. Acornfall turned, looking for his patrolmates. He spotted Flowerhawk rather quickly, waving his tail in greeting as he approached with a broad, friendly smile. Only to remember...this was the cat that Blackbird liked right? Thinking of his...former friend made his ear twitch and his fur bristle slightly. But he shook the feeling off quickly. That was neither Flowerhawk's fault nor his. Besides, he didn't know this she-cat otherwise. "Flowerhawk right?" He mewed in greeting as he got closer, nodding in greeting. "Just waitin' on Minkvenom it looks like." He mused, looking around for the other warrior. But if they weren't here soon, they'd have to move on without them. Acornfall would rather go back and forth to carry two loads worth back that delay getting Wolfhawk the herbs he needed.

That unmistakable black pelt came strutting over to the couple of cats waiting to leave, red spots brightening as she stopped in the clearing before them. Minkvenom's face looked bored and uninterested in her clanmates. The molly didn't know these cats well, but it's not like she needed to, she already knew her skills outmatched their own double to one.

The warrior simply smirked and let out a smug laugh, moving past her clanmates to the entrance. "You guys haven't gone yet? Next time just start without me, I'll easily catch up." Minkvenom bragged, holding her head up high.

Mallowswarm

Soon Mantispaw arrived, and Mallowswarm blinked at her in greeting. Now she was looking at the apprentice, she recognised her from the quarantine camp. She would have still been a kit when she was there; the realisation brought a twang of sympathy in the warrior's chest. The experience of living in that camp, seeing clanmates fall one by one to the sickness that penetrated all their bodies, wondering if they were going to be next... it was hard for anyone. But as a kit? That was even worse, ripping away their innocence and carefree joy before they even reached apprenticeship.

She was still thinking about that when Darkfeather called for them to go. Mallowswarm followed closely behind the she-cat, shifting her thoughts back to the task at paw. Thinking about that place wasn't going to help with anything.

Sunpaw trailed in after Spruce coming in right behind him and not straying far. In her maw was the two crows and the four entire plant, roots and all of whatever flower this was. She not only made her mentor proud it seemed but she was proud of herself for a successful patrol. She came forward with a pep to her step to place her catch down besides Sprucejumpers.

Herb patrol once more. He'd like to think he's getting good at them now, but there's nothing to really be good at, is there?

Peachpaw chirps a wordless greeting to Ravenfire as he steps over. Marigold he's not too certain about betond Wolfhawk's description, but everyone knows what a cobweb looks like.

Leafstorm's lithe golden-brown form slipped into camp through the tunnel, her golden eyes narrowed with disbelief. She couldn't believe that Sunstream and Smokepaw had had the nerves to be disrespectful to the patches of herbs that they had been sent out to Cattail Pond to collect, especially since disrespecting the herbs meant disrespecting Wolfhawk and Hollowpaw. How were they supposed to get the herbs that they needed if there weren't any left to harvest? The mistakes of the two cats could lead to their Clanmates dying.

Spotting Wolfhawk, Leafstorm veered off in his direction, giving a wave of her tail that told Sunstreak and Smokepaw to follow her. The warrior set down her tansy and comfrey at the medicine cat's paws. ''Greetings, Wolfhawk. Here is the tansy and comfrey you asked us to retrieve from Cattail Pond,'' Leafstorm dipped her head respectfully. ''I do bring some rather...disturbing news that I know for certain that you won't like to hear. Neither Sunstreak nor Smokepaw were gentle with their harvests. Sunstreak destroyed an entire patch of tansy by ripping half of the leaves and flowers off the plant, while Smokepaw took the new growth off of a patch of comfrey rather than the old growth to make sure that there were some leaves left for later harvests.''

''Also, Lightningpaw showed up for the patrol and followed us out of camp, but never showed her face at Cattail Pond.''

Well that was fast. Wolfhawk got to his paws as the first patrol returned with some herbs. The tripod hobbled over to meet them, observing their herbs. As he listened to Leafstorm, a frown came upon their maw. "Did ya hit yer head or somethin? These herbs look fine," they said. Even if they had 'destroyed' the herbs, as long as the roots were intact it would be okay. "Explain yer thought process here. Oh, also," the brown medic said, turning to face Smokepaw. He dipped his fluffy head so that way he could get down to smokepaw's level instead of towering over him.

"I didn't want just tansy blossoms, the entire plant has its uses. Make note of that for next time, alright bud?" the large tom said, giving the apprentice a soft smile. He raised his head back up, green eyes scanning the area. Sunstreak was probably lagging behind a bit, but what they were more worried about lightningpaw. They've been an apprentice for longer then wolfhawk had been alive. "If you see lightningpaw, send him my way. Needa have a talk with him," their voice was laced with annoyance, and they collected the herbs so far.

"Any other concerns, leafstorm?" the tripod medicine cat asked as he stood over the warrior (How the heck he had grown so much, he has no clue), raising a brow.

[hey! i checked sunstreak and smokepaw's herb collection posts and it doesn't look like they indicated their cats were careless or that they did anything to damage the herbs, so i am basing wolfhawk's observations on that fact!

Fish: Vm me to see if we can work something out since you were on hiatus from what I understand]

On her journey with the herb patrol it seemed that she had lost everyone else. This was very embarrassing on her part but what was she going to do? Perhaps they left without her? Well fine but she was going to get herbs anyways and bring something home. With that she searched high and low. She didn't have much luck with the tansy flower and was only able to find one of them. Certainly she couldn't come back home with one measly flower so she searched around some more. Maybe comfrey would be her friend.

This would be the one area she would be correct in and found three bundles of it. With this small bounty she made her way back towards the undercrag. Hopefully no one would be too mad at her but she also was left in the dust so maybe she could be forgiven. Seeing Wolfhawk already here, she trotted over and placed down her small amount of herbs. "It seems the others were just faster than me, but here are the herbs you ordered. Hope they don't need to be used but glad we got them and all that." Small talk was hard and she didn't know how to do it.

@Beaan Just going to do this here, no one bumped me and it wasn't near due time.

Sunstreak came into camp holding his herbs. He had also found some moss, that could have it's uses.
"Wolfhawk. Nice seeing you. Brought some moss in case ya need it. I got the herbs. Did not rip then out of the ground as that young'n said. And the roots are intact.
