Nightshine called out for her mate, Darksong. "Darksong! Do you want to play with Whitekit and watch him so that I can get some fresh-kill? I'm hungry." @Samantha

Darksong heard his mate call him. "Sure I'd love to play with my little warrior." He went over to fetch a piece of moss and tossed to Whitekit. He then went over to Whitekit and rolled it over to him,hoping the kit would get the idea of the game.

Whitekit sniffed the moss. What was that for? He pushed it back to the other cat, who he thought must be his dad. He might be his dad because his mom really like the other cat, and the cat would be very kind to him.

Nightshine sighed when she saw Whitekit's reaction. "I think he's deaf," she told her mate sadly. "I'm going have him checked out by a medicine cat soon."

Nightshine smiled. Darksong was nice like that, all the time. Nightshine went to the fresh kill pile.

Whitekit pushed the moss back toward the other tom, only harder this time. Was this a game? If so, it wasn't hard.

Darksong saw the game click in the kits eyes. He pushed it back harder and through it in the air a little bit to get the real game started.

Whitekit squeaked. He hadn't expected the moss to come that fast at him! He went up on his paws and pushed his front paws at the moss, sending right toward the other cat's chest.

Darksong heard the kit squeal, he stop for a moment, making sure he didn't hurt the kit. He grabbed the moss and flung it a bit higher to make the kit reach for it.
