rookfire, annoyed that the other two seemed to have bloody disappeared so he was left gathering stuff on his own now. the enforcer huffed and went back to gathering. now that they were gone, what else could he fetch? he had three cobweb so far... there was never enough cobweb now was there? with his plan set..or perhaps just not changed in the slightest, rookfire continued on.
[ roll d20 4x - 18, 10, 14, 8 ]
like before, it went pretty well, the cobwebs were dry and not too dusty and joined the ones previously gathered as well. except for the last one, while large, it was more dirt than actual silken thread. odd.

Raventalon had just missed a catch, her ears flicking irritably. “Mouse dung!” The warrior spat, her amber eyes narrowing down to slits and burning with anger. The black-furred ShadowClanner took a deep breath and rolled her shoulders, forcing her fur flat.
Raventalon tried to pick up the scent of more prey, but she doubted she could. That sparrow’s alarm call likely just scared all the prey between here and Herondive Hollow away.
rookfire had spent the early morning wandering the territory as he had, many moons ago. it wasn’t the same anymore. sure he theoretically had the same privileges as he had had as a medicine cat but whatever his former ‘mentor’ had been on to demote him had ruined the habit of early mornings and late night walks.
watching the sun rise or set, birds chirping all around was more of a reminder of his sleepy arrangement than anything. avoiding the tight, claustrophobic warriors den but trading warmth and comfort for solidarity and a sight of the stars. he had long since stopped speaking to the stars, backstabbed, betrayed and tossed to the side like dirt too often. blazingstar was all he had left.
when he had left, rookfire had hoped for silence and some time away from the hustle and bustle of camp. still, as a sparrows call carried through the forest like a gust of wind, birds quieting as if listening, curiosity nipped at his ego.
the enforcer sunk into a crouch, using this opportunity to practice his ambush and stealth (perhaps he could impress hawkbite with insane improvement one day) as he moved closer to the source of the sound. through the undergrowth, it was easy to make out a cat, accompanied by shadowclans signature scent.
rook stopped moving, lingering within the shade and watching for the warriors next move.

Mushroompaw grinned as the apprentice and enforcer showed up promptly before they were off into the territory for the herbs that Sleepysunrise requested. They both sounded pretty unique so it would probably be pretty easy to find them. “[B]Where does that stuff grow do you think?” Because if they’re flowers then they probably like the sunny spots because flowers like the sun, but maybe they were different and liked the shade more? Well for now she would just look around everywhere for the yellow. It would likely be easy to spot with the dreary territory.

Owlthroat
he/him | Shadowclan Enforcer | 50 moons Killer Aptitude T3 - Just A Scratch - Silver Tongue T2 The Dancing Bird
[ DUE: 8th June ]
Owlthroat had slowly trudged his way out into the territory, his lips curled downwards. Mushroompaw was already asking questions, but Owlthroat could somewhat excuse it. She was a young apprentice, who’s confusion was the result of her punishment. Still it got under his skin, he expected more from Shadowclan’s youth he truly did.
”Broom and Calendine, Broom is a small shrub with green, glossy leaves and thick stems. Celandine are small yellow flowers with four glossy petals and hairy stems.” He carefully reiterated Sleepysunrise’s description word by word. By the time the patrol was done the descriptions would likely be rinsed from his brain. He wasn’t apt with herbs in the slightest, nor did he care for finding them outside of the designated patrols. ”In sunlight, mossy hollows, shrubbery. Find as much as you can, don’t disappoint me or HER.” The Enforcer snarled lightly, before flickering his yellow eyes over the green landscape. He’d do the same and search for what she needed whilst he was here, even if it wasn’t his punishment. He felt like the healer would have choice words for him if he failed to lift so much as a paw.
His own blackened nose pressed into the grass and his eyes flickered upwards into the shrubbery. The first yellow flowers he saw, were not what he was after. But it wasn’t long before he spied the right ones, collecting them up in his maw as delicately as the oaf possibly could. He flashed a watchful eye over to the others ensuring they were doing their jobs correctly then vaguely returned to his own search with a dismissive tail flicker. Making distance between himself and the group, but remaining within earshot incase Starclan forbid. Something managed to go seriously wrong within a short space of time. Certain apprentices, well they just tended to have a knack for it didn’t they?
The Broom was next on his list and for that he was thankful as it became quite obvious that it was abundant. He reached down to pluck as much as he could carry, this was all he could just about juggle. But he couldn’t complain, he hoped the other two would do the same. In fact what he’d found, unbeknownst to him, was a lush patch of Wild Garlic. Lush and green in colour, thankfully not toxic, but very befitting of the description that Sleepysunrise had given. Whether the others had as little discernment skills as Owlthroat did, was entirely up to their roleplayers. As just over the shrubbed verge lay two patches of neatly growing herbs, the real ones that they needed.

[ Owlthroat has mistaken Wild Garlic for Broom, feel free to have your character do the same but beware they may face consequences for not bringing back the correct herb ]
Mushroompaw looked around, her long fur swaying with the motion, but there was no Vixenpaw in sight and it made her worried a bit. Had the other apprentice gotten lost? Owlthroat continued with collecting herbs, “Hmm.. Owlthroat, I think Vixenpaw is lost! They aren’t here. Should we look for them after we get herbs or did they not leave camp with us?” She trailed off while looking around for the flowers and eventually found some of the described plants. She took as many as she could, the four that were there.
“Here! I got mine!” Mushroompaw made her way back to Owlthroat’s side, still slightly worried about her fellow apprentice.

⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ Houndpaw walked straight into the warrior's den, golden irises dancing around. Nine moons had come and pass and he was still stuck as a 'paw! If his Mama got her full name when she was his age, he had NO excuse. Slytiger and Bleedingpaw had shown him a bit about shadows and stealth but alas, the apprentice sought improvement.
Hmm. He looked for his victim before settling on ,, Mosstangle. One of the new Enforcers. He better see what they were worth. "EXCUSE ME!!!" He barked out, fluffy tail swishing back and forth. "I want-t t-to pract-tice stealth. Help me. P-please and thanks. " He mewed, awaiting a response.
MOSSTANGLE
Shadowclan Enforcer | 20 moons | Large, dark brown-and-white tabby she-cat with green eyes
~~~
Mosstangle wasn't dreaming about much, she was sure. She wasn't sure when she dozed off, but her snooze was soon interrupted. Green eyes blinked open to find the source. One of Dawnstar's kits, Houndpaw. Her ears perked up and she lifted her head before her maw split in a wide yawn. Huh, he was coming to her for some stealth training? Well, she had the perfect lesson for him.
"Sure, let's get out into the territory." She purred, sitting up and giving her pelt a quick grooming before stepping out of the warriors den. Once she was sure Houndpaw was following, she led him out. It was a perfectly humid day for fog. Dense around them and easy to disappear into. Easy to track others through when they knew what to look for, too. Call it a double lesson.
"Houndpaw, do you know how to move through the fog so no one can follow you?" She asked him as she found a good spot to pause their journey. She knew by scent and step that it was a wide clearing, but the dense fog of the marshes surrounding the territory certainly made it difficult to tell. It wasn't far from where she had trained Morningpaw these same techniques. "Or how to track others through it?"
rookfire padded over to where sleepysunrise stood. she assigned him two easy herbs relatively easy to locate and two cats he barely knew if at all. surely he'd seen wildpaw around at least once, silverdusk didnt really ring a bell though. perhaps he'd at least recognise his patrol mate by sight once they showed up.
"heard" the enforcer offered sleepysunrise a nod, padding off to locate his group. somehow, rooks roleplayer was not able to be busy as it appears everyone got to this post far quicker than he did. he is here now though, everyone cheer. wildpaw was the first of the two he found, quietly muttering to himself. repeating the herbs description possibly. rook didnt care all that much, even if wildpaw managed to forget everything he had just been told, the former medic knew more than enough for the two of them combined.
ah it appears rookfire - well, alec theoretically - didnt quite keep his eyes open well enough. silverdusk had already appeared next to wildpaw. well enough, they could leave without waiting then!
once they reached the territory, rookfire signalled them to stop. he turned and eyed the two briefly. "both of you look for marigold, if youre unsure about anything ask me" safest choice probably. handling broom and the optional rosemary himself wouldnt make much a difference to if he had split the three herbs between the three of them. most cats didnt really put in the effort to carry more than the bare minimum anyway.
WILDPAW
Shadowclan Apprentice | 6 Moons | Long-furred calico tom with yellow eyes
Oh! Rookfire was so big and scary! SO COOL! The apprentice was practically bouncing as he padded after the dark enforcer. Silverdusk was their, too, but that wasn't as cool. Maybe she could be super cool, too! He didn't know everyone yet, but most of the cats he had met so far were all interesting for different reasons.
He couldn't help but to be excited by getting to go out again. He was pretty happy about leaving camp so much, now. There was so much around him! All the scents to smell and sights to see! He would've never imagined the territory could be so big compared to camp. Shadowclan's camp was big enough to house so many cats, but outside those walls was even BIGGER! Everything was bigger! EVEN THE ROCKS WERE BIGGER. Well, some of them were, at least.
Wildpaw quickly forgot the gibberish that he had been mumbling as Rookfire spoke. Any memory of broom left was that it was a shrub... But, that was fine, because he wasn't looking for broom! He was looking for marigold. He paused a moment in his light, excited bouncing. "Uhm... What's Marigold look like?" He asked, peering around. He was pretty sure it was some kind of flower. Had he seen it before? There was a chance he had. Maybe it grew in camp, like dandelions sometimes did, and he'd picked it before. Oh, he sure hoped that wasn't the case if Sleepysunrise needed it. Wouldn't that be wasting herbs?
"It's a pretty yellow flower, not to be mistaken with dandelions," the queen mewed in response to Wildpaw's question. The queen spotted a few of the flowers, a few fox lengths away, padding over and biting them off the stem. "Like this, big and ruffled," she mewed.
