He turned again to glance at Boulderstrike.
He let out a huge yawn. He clamped his jaws shut.
"I... gotta go! "
He dashed to the nursery.

Sheerkit, the 2 moon old kit, walked back into the nursury after a long day of disappointment. He stumbled into his mother's nest and tried to fall asleep.

He closed his eyes and fell asleep, not waiting for Jaytail.

Slipping down the narrow stones to the clearing from the leaders den, applekit made his way into the clearing, reaching the base and glancing back at the stone pathway. Memories of struggling up and down the jagged stones as a young kitten causing his tail to flick a few times. The tom kit usually chose just at the height of the day to leave his fathers den, most warriors where out hunting or patrolling, it gave him an opportunity to get prey and get back up before he could get interrupted. He blinked a few times before padding across the clearing, bending over the freshkill pile to examine what was there.

Plucking out a reasonably sized shrike and turning to vanish into his fathers den once again, he was briefly set on getting back up there so nobody would talk to him, but it was quiet, nobody was there. The tom briefly paused turning to study the clearing briefly. It's always stuffy and dark up there applekit. Come on, it'll only be a few minutes. Going against his instincts the tabby padded towards the corner of the clearing, settling down and placing the shrike between his white paws, quickly going to work on pulling the feather off with his teeth.

Blazingstar was just entering camp after a quick hunt in the territory. He hadn't had alone time in a while and the hunt was a nice refresher, however, it reminded him that he hated being alone. With that said, a hare hung from his jaws as he made his way across the camp, taking note of his son's location. He'd have to go say hi to the kitten and see what he's been up to. The leader dropped the fresh catch on top of the kill pile, licking his lips to clean the blood and fur that had found its way there.

Padding up to Applekit now, the tom would give him a small smile. "Hi Applekit, what are you up to?" he asked happily, his tone fairly content, giving up an even slightly playful tone. Something he always held around kits since gaining a soft spot for them since this litter's birth. "It's good to see you outside of the den," he continued, sitting down in front of Applekit now.

Mottleheart whirled around, she opened her mouth to yell at him, but she closed it. She didn't want to get on his bad side, though she doubted that he would actually do anything bad to her. "Ebonyfoot is my daughter, and I love her very much," Mottleheart started, struggling to keep calm, her voice was more even after a deep breath. "I may not like every decision you make, but I would never betray you." The thought of ever betraying clan was bad enough, but he was leader which meant in doing so she betrayed him. She knew where he was coming from, but she still felt hurt that he would doubt her loyalty.

Blazingstar nearly flinched, but held his ground as the she-cat whipped around to face him. It was a question he needed to ask or it would effect their relationship later. He wanted to know what his warriors were thinking and Mottleheart was no different. If she was going to say she supported her daughter, then he would take it as was, but she'd be limited on seeing the kittens then. It was wrong of him to think, but he had already planned it out.

Relief almost flooded through him as she spoke. He simply nodded at her response. "Okay, good," was all he could muster out after all that tension.

Jaggedspring slowly walked toward his apprentice. He chuckled for a moment "Be careful I don't want you falling in" He always liked watching younger cats get stoaked when they see something they haven't. "I stream is pretty during leaf-bear. Just like I said don't fall in I don't want you getting sick" He mewed as he watched. [Fatherly instinct kick in >:3]

Patchpaw started heading out more onto the ice, nervose at first but soon she had all four paws onto the cold surface, "Don't worry Jaggedspring I think it can handle me, wait can i-" she broke her sentence off as the ice cracked and fell around her, she was soon plunged into freezing cold water, she struggled to gain her footing once more but when she did she realized she was only up to her belly in water. Her first few attempts to get out of the water met with defeat as the ice shattered more under her paws. "Oh Starclan this is cold, I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemies," she muttered under her breath, she looked towards her mentor for a little bit of help.

Willowheart felt a welcome rush of cold air stir her silver pelt as she walked beside the kind she cat who had found her.
Though the crisp breeze had cooled her off and made her more alert, Willowheart still felt feverish and her head pounded in rythm with her racing heart.
"How much further?" she meowed as the two cats continued walking across the moor.
Willowheart's mind was clouded with worry as she thought of the talk she had heard of the rapidly spreading sickness. She hated the cold weather and this leaf bare season had been the coldest she could remember. She wondered if this would be the last time she would see her beloved clans territory....

Sheerkit yawned as he awoke. He sniffed and rubbed crust out of his eyes, he was dehydrated. He let out a hoarse cough but didn't think much of it. He walked into the clearing to find water.

Sheerkit crawled out of the nursury in the morning and was shocked to see more warriors out than last night. He looked around curiously. He smacked his dry lips desperately for he didn't know where to find water. He sighed and trotted to the fresh-kill pile to pick up a vole. He sat outside the nursury to eat it calmly.

He finished the vole. He began to cough violently. Snot ran down his tiny nose. He coughed more and backed up shakily into the ferns. He was overheating but felt like he was freezing.
