Shiverpaw stood up, shaking herself to get rid of the dirt and grime in her coat. "Sure, of course! I'm starving!" She exclaimed. Fresh-kill right now sounded good, after all this hard-work.
The apprentice unrushedly walked towards the fresh-kill pile, pace slow as an invitation for Morningpaw to go along with her.
"The moon will sing a song for me
I loved you like the sun."
...
Hickorykit was taking her usual stroll, taking in the sights of a place she'd already observed a million times before. The only thing that kept drawing her in was the new cats she'd yet to introduce herself to. Even she had to admit she wasn't the most sociable cat out there, but when curiosity got the better of her the wonder was too much to ignore.
Lost in her train of peculiar thoughts, she accidentally bumped into the leg of some cat. She looked up, immediately stepping away as she dipped her head.
"Oh, um, sorry... I wasn't looking where I was... going,"
She stuttered, feeling the nerves cloud her brain. Was she always this ignorant?
...
"Bore the shadows that you made
With no light of my own
I shine only with the light you gave me."
"The moon will sing a song for me
I loved you like the sun."
...
The soft voice, which Hickorykit could only aquate to the look and smell of lily's on a warm new-leaf day, made her look up again. The cat looked gentle and smelled of the warmer, more soothing parts of new-leaf she enjoyed the most. Her eyes shone with a generous curiosity that made questions pile-up like dead leaves on a surprisingly cold day.
"H-Hi..."
She looked at a loss for words, starstruck, almost quite literally, by this warrior she'd never met. There was such an instant respect that Hickorykit held for her, ears perked and eyes keen to soak in every aspect of this cat's appearance.

"The moon will sing a song for me

...
Hickorykit acknowledges the offer. She'd never particularly liked squirrel, but maybe for this nice lady she'd compromise. It's not like she was sick to flavor of it, which was a good thing, maybe.
"Mm... mhm,"
She carefully advances closer to the cat, resting her little fluffy chin on the ankles of her paws. Hickorykit isn't on edge, nor is she really say nervous, she's trying to make what she can of the situation. She didn't even know this cat's name, but the feeling of familiarity, because of clanship, made her feel more at ease.

⸝⸝⸝ 彡 ☽ six moons ✮ he . him ✮ shadowclan apprentice ☾ 彡 ⸝⸝⸝
huge chocolate brown tom with darker brown markings that go down his back and limbs; lighter brown underbelly and chest. has a striped tail and small, tufted ears with round, blazing golden eyes. has thick fluffy fur and a raccoon-like striped tail. he has a single tooth that overlaps his bottom lip and is commonly covered in mud. he is missing half of his right ear; smells like dirt & wood. struggles with a stutter. ⋆。˚ ☁︎ ˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆
⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ The mud was all warm, compressing his limbs. He watched Mama from the hole he had dug, it was shallow enough just to give a dip in the cold soil. His short tail swished back and forth, peering curiously to watch her movements. He wanted to learn from her. She had everything he could ever know inside her head! Duh, obviously, she was the leader for a REAASSOON! They couldn't have an idiot taking them into battle!!! .... Waait, wait, wait. Houndpaw paused in his pondering. Oh no. He couldn't be the idiot charging into battle, either. Mama Mistle had already warned him off for doin' that. (He didn't know the rat was a MONSTER!!)
The apprentice slowly arose from his mud pile, paws stepping quietly onto the floor. His thin pupils quickly became big, wide saucers - turning his typically huge, golden irises into a thin color wrapping around the parameter. Ever since he was a little he always, always, always loved pouncing on his Mama. (Okay, really any of his family members but she was extra big which made it way more fun!) It was his version of a hug, really.
He crouched low behind her, a surprisingly decent crouch now that Mistlewhisker had taught him how to hunt. Unfortunately for Houndpaw, he could not control the rumbling that was rising from his throat as he crept closer and closer with bubbling anticipation. He could not help but feel pure joy when he was being a little mischievous.
Sneaking as close as he can before all of the sudden, Houndpaw pushed off the ground and attempted to pounce on his Mother ─ though very likely ending with him rolling on the floor to pop right back up. Unless she was super distracted. "HAI !! HAI !! HAI MA!!" He yipped, flashing a tooth-filled goofy grin. "T-teacchhh me hooow t-to fight-t like you? P-p-pleaaasseee? And and - t-thank you?" He requested, using his very very very VERY best manners. Surely, she couldn't stay no. His torn ear flickered, tail swishing excitedly back and forth.
.. He neglected to mention his run in with a monster to his Mama. Not yet, anyway. He needed to get her a super impressive gift before he could share his tale of horrors. Also, he.. he reallyy didn't want her to give him a look like Miss Ma-Mistle had. He hated that look the MOST. It made him feel all ugly inside.
"The moon will sing a song for me
I loved you like the sun."
...
Hickorykit nodded, she'd settle on any choice, just as long as she got to know this familiar but all-to-gether unfamiliar cat. Her curiosities taunted her like an invisible feather tickling the back of her ears.
"S-Sure,"
She gives the nice lady a soft, friendly smile, fur laying flat as she lays content.
