The nursery was much darker than the elders den but then again it felt much cozier and more protected. The scents that wafted through the den was quite nostalgic to him even though he had only ever spent two moons in here. Glancing around and taking in every aspect he could recognise from the den he felt comforted. Atleast one thing stayed from his kithood even if it wasn't as important as all that left. Honestly he never expected to set paw back in this den after he had left it. He doubted hed ever be father, it didn't interest him and we'll he doubted hed be any good a parenting.

Back to the thoughts on hand, he had to do something atleast a bit helpful for one of the queens to qualify he had completed his punishment. Then he could be dubbed Mudsmoke once more! All the queens, he could see, looked pregnant which wasn't very helpful seeing as he only brought one piece of prey. Mentally scolding himself he looked around for the most pregnant one, if that even was a thing. That when he spotted a significantly bigger she, if you could say that...uh was that rude? Honestly he never understood she cats. "uh good day ma'am" he greeted as he approached the white and partially black queen.

"I brought, prey." He said awkwardly in a tone not quite matching his words as he dropped the perch infront of her. He tended not to talk to anyone so that could be the reason or maybe it was because he absolutely never spoke to she cats and still saw queens in a mother like way even if the were younger or his age. Shifting his paws, he glanced back to see if Twigstep had found any kits wanting to her a story or something before turning back to the queen. "uh is there anything else you need help with?" he asked trying to sound more casual but failing. He sounded like an apprentice speaking to a high rank, honestly Mudsmoke get over yourself.

Seagullwing once again put herself in front on her and crotched down low, so that Fishkit wasn't as able to get around the queen. (permission to pick up by scruff?)

Leafkit's eyes darted around to watch a fly that had gotten stuck inside the nursery, and the little insect creature now getting tired and fling a lot slower.
