last on rooks list was coltsfoot, not one of the herbs he was necesarrily familiar with, but one he had seen in one of the smaller piles when taking a peek at the herb collection mossfreckle was tending to. weird waxy looking, textured leaves, a bit greyish sometimes, and perhaps he could still identify some of them by their flowers.. it wasnt really newleaf anymore, but one could only hope. it took a bit longer to find this one, yet its fragrant, rich scent still made its way to him eventually, leading the enforcer in the right direction.

disappointing, but not unexpected, the coltsfoot looked a bit worse for wear, dryish and rather small, probably too much sun or heat or whatever, rookfire was no gardener he just collected. either way, he picked out the best looking ones, three of em, and then placed his collection of herbs down on the ground to sort them once more before seeking out roachflare and sleepysunrise to return to camp together.
[ @Estelle . too eepy for longer post, just wanted this patrol off my list. if possible remind me to mark this patrol as finished once youve replied w sleepys total herbs :3 total collected herbs: 2 dock, 1 dandellion, 2 chickweed. 1 yarrow, 2 cobweb, 3 coltsfoot ]
With Rookfire and Roachflare off together, the young warrior was left hunting alone. She didn't mind; she hardly knew the other warrior's name, and Rookfire was nothing more than someone who got to spent far more time with her mama in the past moons than herself, a thought that deeply stung the youngling. Was she not doing enough, again? Was she falling behind, failing at being a good daughter? Even her time with Miss Grandmama had been limited, puncturing the fragile heart of the feline that hunted through the fields, two mice soon succumbing to swift paws and idle movements before her eyes fell on a familiar bush. She had thought of continuing with her hunt, but the bush sparked the memory of one of her first patrols; broom, was it? It couldn't... Hurt. Carefully, she nipped up a small bit of the broom, soon collecting the second part of what she had gathered during her first patrol - limiting herself to what she could carry, now, paws full. Much unlike Rookfire who somehow held far more in his paws than her.
it had taken far too long for everyone to gather, in rookfires humble opinion at least, and by the time they had finally left camp his striped tail was jerking from side to side in anticipation and minor annoyance. he had big plans, and they wouldnt be crossed by some warriors who simply didnt want to appear for patrols in a timely manner. whatever it mightve been, he honestly didnt care about their excuses anyway, was to be made up by a brisk trot out into the territory, rookfire leading his group towards a familiar clearing. with another glance back to ensure adderpaw had not disappeared somewhere along the way rookfire made a move in one direction before apperantly remembering something and turning to face the group. "we meet here again, if anything happens yell, otherwise, i want to see at least 3 herbs from you, and i dont care if thats just cobwebs. dismissed, get searching" the enforcer spoke, eyeing each and every member of his patrol before giving a sharp nod up and turning to begin searching.
[ pardon for how short this is, i kinda didnt think much when planning out this patrol. next post will be the 24th or 25th, and then one again the 27th hopefully. @forest @sleepyyjax @Luminous ]

Well, it seemed that Sunpaw and Burningnight weren't interested in joining her after all. Usually Mistlewhisker didn't like to excuse herself from the restriction just because she was Deputy, but she didn't have the time nor the interest in finding a new hunting partner. So, she continued on. Dawnstar had requested a duck, a snake, and a fish. Easily found in their territory, especially during Greenleaf.
They were closer to the RiverClan border now, so things went swiftly.
A large duck sat on the edge of some dry land, eyes blinking sleepily as it dozed in the afternoon heat. Mistlewhisker slipped into the shadows, slinking up behind the fowl and lunging at it with outstretched claws. The bird squawked in surprise as the Deputy crushed it, but couldn't let loose a proper alarm call as Mistlewhisker sank her teeth into its neck. Easy enough. Ducks were always a bit stupider than other birds.
Mistlewhisker pushed her catch under a bush and padded towards the water, her dark pelt rippling into view under watery sunlight. Finding a shady spot to settle in, Mistlewhisker held a large paw over the water and waited. After several minutes, a dark shadow flickered under the water, nearly catching her by surprise. Mistlewhisker jammed her paw down into the water, feeling claws snag on slippery scales. She pulled upwards, dragging the fish onto land where she could lunge swiftly to kill it. The Deputy almost wished Dawnstar had been there to see it, instead of the embarrassment she faced when she was teaching the Leader to fish moons ago. But alas. Mistlewhisker quickly buried the fish before slipping off in search of a snake.
It took a little longer than she would have liked, but eventually Mistlewhisker scented the sharp tang of a reptile laced with the earthiness of snake scales. The large feline, still cloaked in shadow, snuck forward on near-silent paws at the snake that coiled peacefully under a ray of sunshine. Suddenly she shot forward, slamming a paw down onto the snake and snapping the small spine wrapped in thickly corded muscle. The snake died immediately, flopping onto the ground with a slight thud. And that was that.
Mistlewhisker collected all of her catches, shuffling awkwardly with a snake, duck, and fish clamped in her triangular maw. Once she stabilized everything, she headed back to camp and back towards the pregnant she-cat waiting for her.

Darkleaf they/she - 56 moons
The journey into the territory didn't take too long - considering everything they were after seemed to pop up everywhere, it's not like they had to journey far. Unfortunately, there wasn't much chatter going on. Foggymask's seemed to be absent, too. Darkleaf wasn't familiar with that cat, but she hoped they were okay. Anyway, 3 herbs, nothing too complicated - though they'd certainly rather find more.
So, cobwebs, marigolds and mushrooms. Marigolds... Where to find marigolds?
[Rolled: 4]
Darkleaf stalked around the area. All was dark, shady and muddy. It seemed no use, she couldn't find a single patch. Maybe they could try again later? Or hopefully someone else would find some.
They'd focus on mushrooms next, maybe? They gazed around, wondering where may be a good place to search. Recalling Mossfreckle's words, that they can be found on 'rotting wood or in the moist shaded areas beneath underbrush or tress', they set their sights on a clump of conifers and trotted over. Hopefully, some little mushrooms would be growing around the roots.
[rolled:17]
Darkleaf sniffled around the roots, desperately hoping to find something after disaster with the marigolds. Maybe StarClan was listening, as they soon found a huge bunch of them! Right - maybe it was best to bite at the stem? They began to pluck them out and, luckily, it wasn't too hard. Soon enough they'd gathered 4 mushrooms - better save some space for a cobweb.
Cobwebs should be the easy, right? If she remembered correctly, they'd might be in the conifer branches. They looked up, nosing through leaves. Nope, nope, nothing here, nothing there... Were they really about to fail at finding cobewebs?
[Rolled: 10]
Ah! But right there below her nose, as she was about to give up. A lovely big cobweb. Perfect. Or - almost perfect! "EEP!" They were just about to grab it, but in the centre sat a huge spider, and they just came straight nose to nose with it. The warrior was a little embarrassed after being shocked so easily, but hey, it's not like anyone was trained in dealing with these things. Anxiously, they grabbed a smaller web from below it. Hopefully, none of the other patrollers would go after that big web, if they did... They'd be met with the same surprise. Oh, and hopefully they didn't hear her reaction.

Pondpaw followed Tuftedtusk out of the camp and into the territory, her tail swaying behind her.
