"We have a ball now, Alpinepaw! Let's go get em!" Fleckpaw meows excitedly, looking around for their next target, the closest one. "What about Dawnpaw? We'll use Spikepaw's strategy against his own team!" As she's meowing, she notices the small kit bumbling around for the mossball and adds kindly, "Chasmkit, do you want to join too?"

Meanwhile, Antpaw was lazing around, not really paying attention to the game at all. In the end, he just wanted an excuse to not join in. When Maplekit expresses her want to join, he flicks his tail at the two teams. "Maplekit on Fleckpaw's team, Chasmkit on Spikepaw's. Done." He sounds irritated.

Oh dear. Even more cats. Antpaw stays silent at the thought of having to join in to even out the number of cats in each team.

"I'm fine with uneven teams, Antpaw!" Fleckpaw meows, noticing his discomfort, still running towards Dawnpaw to herald her into a small corner.

"Chasmkit and Maplekit on Fleckpaw's team, Beetlepaw on Spikepaw's. Am I finally done? There better not be more cats." Antpaw grumbles, lying down. He continues sharpening his claws on a stone.

Maplekit had let out a squeal of joy when she had been placed on a team. She was gonna be the bestest player ever!!!

Slimekit walked timidly toward the others kits and apprentices.
He began to speak. Then hesitated. It only took a moment for him to realize no one was listening.
They are all well too enraptured in the game.
He sighed pitifully.
"What do I do?"
Slimekit then realized it was only a game... why should he fret? He then made up his mind. This was the day he would make a friend.
With his newfound courage, Slimekit was ready.
He stumbled clumsily toward a nice looking kit whom he had never seen before.
"Can I play with you?"

The maple colored she-kit turned to face the newcomer, eyes sparkling, practically hopping around with every step she took, fur shining in the sun.

”Of course!! You just have to ask Antpaw, although I’m sure he won’t mind at all!!!”

Maplekit meowed, exited that more cats were starting to play Mossball with her, and the other cats! This will be the biggest biggest mossball game ever! In the whole history of the world! Ever!
