This was the second Gathering Rainpaw would be attending, and it was already making his anxiety heighten. Last Gathering was more chaotic than the young tom had always imagined it, so he expected some chaos to spread at this one too. Bumbleflight wasn't really anywhere to be seen, nor were Thrushfur and Quailfur. Not even Lavenderpaw was visible in the crowd, so he had no clue if she was around. He wanted to run. He wanted to get out of Seastones, but he wanted to be the one to inform his family about what was going on, so he unsheathed his claws and dug them into the ground each time he took a step so as to not make himself run away.
"Take it easy Rainpaw, you've got this..." he muttered to himself as he eyed the looming figure of Dawnstar next to Sparrowstar and Twilightstar.
(OPEN FOR INTERACTION)
All the apprentices looked lame in this Gathering. Blazingpaw can already guess that whatever topics he and the other apprentices would have will be sooo boring. There’s one apprentice that caught his interest: a WindClan apprentice with black patches and weird looking eyes threatening a kit to go away. The light brown ‘paw thought about joining in to terrorize the kit for ruining Blazingpaw’s Gathering, but a voice in the wind caught his attention: “Take it easy Rainpaw, you’ve got this.”
Twisting his head, he noticed another apprentice a few mouse-tail lengths away from him. What a weirdo, Blazingpaw thought. But, this Rainpaw cat seems more interesting than the lame bully Blazingpaw saw earlier. Groaning, realizing that he really does not want to interact, Blazingpaw forced himself to pad up to the second apprentice. “Take what easy?” Blazingpaw asked.

She watched as Pikestar dismissed the little apprentice, the rawness of his voice making her own heart ache a little. This was their first Gathering without Slatewhisker, and it showed plainly on the way the Riverclanners carried themselves. They stank of grief and despair, though none of them dared to show it on their faces.
The leader climbed up onto the stones with limber grace, and held himself high. She padded into after him, keeping one eye on the rest of the clan, before sinking onto a patch of grass in the clearing.

Laurelpaw
If doing this step by step was what it took, then so be it. With another snarl Laurelpaw lunged, hoping to spray sand in the kits face to disorient it. Then with her teeth, she aimed to grab their scruff again and pull them out from their hiding spot. "Alright. If you won't leave then you're coming with me." Turning around, she marched back into the gathering space, up in the middle of the gathered cats until she reached the front of the Seastones.
Dropping the bundle of fur at her paws, Laurelpaw stared up at the leaders - all of them had arrived, good - and gave a lash of her tail. "Excuse me! All powerful leaders? One of you want to tell this little runt that they don't belong here? They're not leaving. And frankly, they seem to have a deathwish. Dawnstar, do you want to handle this? I know no other leader will get their paws dirty like you love doing."
Bold? Absolutely. Getting her in trouble? Most definitely. But Laurelpaw didn't care as she sat down, aiming to place one paw on the kits tail so they didn't run.
What should an apprentice's first gathering be like? Bluebellpaw thought it would be a happy, or eye opening experience, to be able to see all the cats of the other clans gathered together under a pact of peace for one night to relay news. But for her, the grief of her mother's death weighed heavy in her mind. Just a day or two ago, Beansprout had turned up in camp with Otterfluff, dragging Slatewhisker's body into the clearing. She cried for years, it seemed like, and in that time, it was like she'd aged a millennium. She had woken up, half expecting for it to be a dream, until reality hit her hard, and she sobbed quietly into her nest. Stars, she'd have to go and change the moss when she got home.
She walked into the clearing after her clan, feeling a sense of dread. Pikestar would have to announce the death of her mother, and she wasn't really sure if she could handle it. Maybe she should go find her friends....

Ashpaw (he/him) Light grey tabby with blue/grey eyes
»»————- ☀︎︎ ————-««
The gray tabby had been looking forward to the Gathering for a whole moon now. He was determined to make as many new friends as he could, tonight. Of course, he reflected, it's not like we can have friends from the other clans. But he was dying to have a good conversation with someone new, and hoped to hear something interesting in exchange.
A dark brown pelt caught his eye, and the scent of heather and wind reached his nostrils. Ashpaw padded up to the Windclan warrior and flicked his tail in greeting. "Hello! I'm Ashpaw from Thunderclan."And I'm almost ready to receive my warrior name. he thought excitedly. The next time he'll come here, he will have his full name.
[ @Rabbiteye-ball ]
As a grey ThunderClan apprentice padded over, Rabbiteye lessened his hard expression to a slightly more blank one, in an effort to seem less threatening. "Hello, Ashpaw, I am Rabbiteye of WindClan," he mewed.

Laurelpaw
For StarClan's sake. Effectively losing her patience, Laurelpaw lunged again, this time aiming to give the kit a nip to its ear. "Leave. Before I kill you myself." If that would save them from a dance with Dawnstar's claws, then so be it. Eyes narrowed she lunged again, this time to grab the scruff of the kit and fling them away from the beach. Hopefully that would get them running.
the kit squealed and raced out of the bush into the clearing of cats as its ear stang from the claws of the strange new cat! yikes! they thought, why where there so many cats!? he just wanted to hide in his bush! he let out a terrified yelp as cats seemed to surround the whole place. he laid down and covered his face with his paws as he shivered in terror and fright.
Although Badgerpaw would typically avoid Laurelpaw, he couldn't help but keep an eye on her as she interacted with a loner kit. Quite frankly, knowing the black and white she-cat, he was worried for the safety of the kit. And with a giant brute such as Dawnstar close by, his concern was growing. Looking from Twilightstar ( @Moonraven ) to Laurelpaw, the young tuxedo started padding toward Laurelpaw to defend the kit. The tom's pace quickened into a run when he had heard his fellow apprentice threaten to kill the clearly terrified kit. Oh no you don't!
"Laurelpaw, stop! That's a kit you're threatening!" he yowled and moved to stand above the kit. "Don't you know this is a loner kit, without its parents around? You can't just attack a defenseless kit, it's wrong!"
The young tom firmly placed his claws into the soft sand beneath him and readied himself for an attack Laurelpaw might throw at him. I don't know how to fight, but Laurelpaw can't attack an innocent kit who is absolutely terrified!

It was time yet again for another gathering, but the dark-furred leader would’ve honestly preferred to just stay back at camp. Just yesterday, Slatewhisker had turned up up dead and they had to bury her in the thicket… At least it seemed like just yesterday. Who truly knew how much time had passed? Pikestar surely didn’t and his body felt sick, even weaker than before, but regardless of it all, he showed up. Sure, RiverClan was the last clan to show up to this moon’s Gathering, but it was better than not attending at all, right? In the back of his mind, the oriental tom was prepared for the ridicue of the other clans, the mocking, the teasing. “You lost your deputy already? So soon after Skystar?” They would cruely jeer at him, “Your own deputy couldn’t handle a few rogues? How pathetic.” The mocking voices in his head continued as he continued onwards towards the beach. He drew to a halt, looking out across the crowd of cats that awaited them. “Please… behave yourselves.” Pikestar said quietly, his voice still heavy with grieving for Slatewhisker. Usually, his deputy was his voice when he couldn’t form the right words, but now… he was alone and needed to handle things by himself. Another few seconds passed before the tall RiverClan leader walked forwards. He just wanted to get this over with. Quickly.
As he was weaved through the crowd, doing his best to keep his head high, Pikestar’s partial gaze swept over a familiar tortie pelt, which made him immediately pause. “Dappledpaw.” The RiverClan leader meowed lowly, spotting the young molly trying to hide herself amongst a few ShadowClan cats that she had been conversing with. Seriously? Was she really trying to hide from him? “You know better than to head off alone without a RiverClan warrior, let alone your show up to a Gathering before me, especially given the state of our clan.” His deep tone voiced disappointment and a harsh sternness, speaking of the rogues who were killing their clanmates, “Get over here. Now. You’re lucky I do not send you back to camp with an escort.” Without looking back, Pikestar decided to make extra sure the apprentice was aware of the wrong that she did. “Reedwhisker will be keeping an eye on you until we’re all back in camp after the Gathering.” And that was that. He didn’t want to deal with it anymore. Stars forbid they have another mess like the last one and he’d have to exile another cat. Please, none of that again.
Moving swiftly through the crowd without looking anywhere else than ahead, the tall oriental longhair made no hesitation to scale up the stones where Sparrowstar and Dawnstar were seated. Twilightstar was out dealing with one of her own cats, it seemed. He took a seat and wrapped his tail around his front paws, allowing his partial gaze to slide over to the ShadowClan and ThunderClan leaders. Pikestar silently dipped his head in greeting to them, but said nothing. What could he even say? He felt wrong for trying to fake any kind of happiness or genuine sincerity. Honestly, Pikestar only felt numbness. And he truly wondered why he even tried anymore. Oh well. Let’s just get through this and all go back home when it was all over. The RiverClan closed his single eye and exhaled a shaky breath. Deep breaths, Pikestar.
RiverClan was going through rough times, Pikestar alone could convey that message without speaking due to how exhausted he looked. Reedwhisker was tired too, mainly trying to keep herself afloat for her two apprentices and now Pikestar. It appeared RiverClan was the last to arrive, but she didn't care. Better late than never. At the dark tom's quiet warning, the dark brown she-cat nodded then turned to the rest of RiverClan.
"You hear that everyone? Don't go acting like kits tonight!" she spoke louder to help the tired leader and then turned her attention back to the path ahead. "The more responsible we are, the less chaos will happen."
When she had turned back to pay attention to where she was walking, the dark she-cat noticed Pikestar's gaze on an apprentice who had apparently decided to show up at Seastones without the support of RiverClan. She wanted to reprimand the apprentice herself but kept quiet so she didn't overstep Pikestar. Luckily, the tom had already started chastising the young cat. Observing the conversation, she sat back and let her Clanmates pass her. It was clear Pikestar wasn't happy given the tone of his voice, and rightfully so, but Reedwhisker didn't dare add insult to injury since she didn't want to get reprimanded by the leader herself. Not after the fool Slatewhatshisname made himself turn out to be the last Gathering. It came to her as a bit of surprise when she was the one put in charge of watching Dappledpaw. I won't let him down, she promised herself, dipping her head to show she heard what duty she was given.
"Right then. Dappledpaw, I'll let you talk to whoever, but my eye will not leave your pelt, understand? If you attempt to get away from my watch, Pikestar will be sure to know about it."
The she-cat sat down close to the apprentice, but not too close so the apprentice didn't feel comfortable. Her goal was to just observe what was going on with the other Clans and keep her eye on Dappledpaw, "You truly are lucky Pikestar is letting you stay here tonight. Do not make him regret his decision."
Rainpaw could feel the tension in the air, but it wasn't anywhere close to what he felt at the last Gathering. Well, at least there was that. He took a few deep breaths and turned his attention to RiverClan as they began arriving. So far, so good. It was a little less peaceful than Rainpaw liked, but he knew he couldn't always get what he wanted. Turning his attention to Blazingkit- or, Blazingpaw, now... probably, he realized he was being addressed.
"The Gathering... this is my second one, the last Gathering was really tense, I didn't like it very much," he shrugged his shoulders, unsure of what else to say. "I didn't see your ceremony, you're a 'paw now, right? Congratulations. If you want, you can sit next to me, I don't mind. RiverClan just arrived so not many spots will be open anymore..."

Roanpaw
Lots of various conversations drifted around him, and as much as Roanpaw wished to lift his ears and listen he was much more focused on the other Clan's leadership. After them came ThunderClan, their foresty scent practically overwhelming. Their leader - a ginger-furred she-cat - leapt onto the tree beside his grandmother and settled in. Hmm. No deputy seemed to follow her which was disappointment. Shortly after came WindClan, and the apprentice turned his head to take note in Twilightstar punishing an apprentice who had decided to show up before the rest of their Clan. Typical bunny behavior.
Turning back around to look at Dawnstar, Roanpaw heard the voice of another cat approaching him. Squirrel scent protruded into his space and slowly his head turned to see a rather excited apprentice, probably about his age. Ospreypaw. First gathering probably, if the energy he displayed had anything to say about it. Green eyes locked onto the apprentices two different colored eyes. They were about the same size, and Roanpaw couldn't help wondering how he'd fare in a little... spar.
Suddenly another voice approached, this one belonging to an apprentice who seemed older than the two of them. Taller than Roanpaw - though he wasn't far behind - with green eyes like his own. She seemed to not know her own Clanmate, or maybe she was speaking to him. Which would be interesting considering Roanpaw had no words for either of them.
Instead, he simply stared back at the two of them, face emotionless and posture unmoving. He didn't appear tense or uncomfortable as he watched them, green eyes unblinking.

I guess that's okay... I can find someone else to talk to, I guess...
Although she knew loads of cats, including a couple of apprentices from ShadowClan, she didn't want to interact with them. They're all probably interacting with others or not even at the Gathering. But her eyes laid on a familiar pelt. She had seen the tom around camp but had never actually spoken to him. Well, better late than never, right? Flamepaw shrugged her shoulders and then sat next to the fellow apprentice.
"Hi! I'm Flamepaw, who are you?" she announced herself in a cheerful manner.

Ospreypaw head tilted more when he the apprentice didn't respond though he turned his head when he heard another voice, and they smelt like one of his clanmates, "Hello Flamepaw! I'm Ospreypaw, this is...actually well he hasn't said his name yet, but he's from ShadowClan, but are you from ThunderClan as well?" If she was than he felt bad! He could have became friends with them earlier but he had been so busy with training that he hasn't had time to talk to others yet.
