(We can just ad-lib this, Pumpkinpaw regularly can be found in the den when he isn’t busy.)

Pumpkinpaw lay in his nest, sadness filling his spirit, he had been thinking about his parents and what he had done with them during their short time together, he shook his orange and brown head, his green eyes shut as he tried to block out the stream of memories that he wished he could forget.
Why can’t I be strong like... like Weaselheart? He thought, remembering the strong warrior whom he had conversed with a couple times, He doesn’t feel sad about anything!
He was just too... too sentimental, he needed to get over his parents somehow.
He sat up in his nest and began to fix it up, stripping out the old bracken and moss.

Darkpaw sat quietly in the apprentice's den, she'd been really bored lately.. not much friend-making had been going on, so maybe.. she could spice it up! Yeah! She noticed a particularly sad-looking apprentice and she approached them. She gave them her usual, joyful grin, "Hi there! I'm Darkpaw, what's your name?" It was a small introduction, but that's all she really needed! A voice began to whisper in an attempt to discourage her from this, and a chorus of them joined it. She held back a groan of annoyance as she pushed them away. Stars, the voices were so annoying! Speaking at all hours of the day.. ugh. They probably were the cause of her boredom anyways. Okay, back to the task at hand! Making a friend!

“Hello, nice to meet you Darkpaw, the name’s Pumpkinpaw,” The nine moon old tom gave her a half smile, “I think I’ve seen you around a couple of times, just haven’t spoken to you before.”

"Oh, your name suits you well!" The dark-furred she-cat's grin turned into a smile so it was easier to talk, she hoped Pumpkinpaw wouldn't dislike her.. amount of talking. She talked a lot! And she knew it. "I think I've seen you around too, but you were always doing something so I never wanted to bother you." Darkpaw shifted from paw to paw as she thought about what else to say, sure, she had lots to talk about but he was a new friend. New friends always had other interests than her own. So, she should start of simple. "What do you like to do?" Yes, perfect.
