It took a good bit of patience for Hawkbite to not snap at the dark warrior who accompanied him. He could understand the worry since this was his kit -- or so he claimed, but he wouldn't often take the tone from others like this. Darkfall was merely lucky Hawkbite wanted him back on the Enforcer team. He just needed to clean his damn act up or he'd have to cease those dreams.

Hawkbite would watch the interaction between Darkfall and Bleedingkit before the small feline was apologizing profusely. They'd taken up a position between both the toms and Hawkbite didn't really react other than slide a paw out towards the small feline. A peace offering maybe? A reminder that he wasn't a mean cat? Bleedingkit could bap his paw, hug it, or just simply ignore it, but it was there. An offering from Mr Pats.

"You're not in trouble. Let's go get your Mama," Hawkbite tried to assure the kitten. The tone in his voice remained calm and assuring, too. He was bad at this emotion thing, always had been, but he would entertain any form of comfort Bleedingkit may need. The first one was simply getting him back to his family. He really wasn't sure how to interact with Bleedingkit with Darkfall hovering like he was.

With time, Hawkbite would start leading the trio back to the camp. Dawnstar would either begin looking for them or consider them dead. No need to keep the queen waiting.

Honeybite’s nice, she concluded. She knew ever since she was a kit that she was deserving of her respect given her seniority over herself, but this proved it simply because of the warrior’s attitude that they brought to the table.

“Littler.” Midnightpaw chuckled–she understood, though. Shadowclan was full of hulking, huge cats–and she was of average build, albeit a bit lanky in some aspects, but that wasn’t very visible with her fluffy fur. Either way, it made her feel quite little in comparison, too.

Turning her attention back to the tree before her, she dug her foreclaws into the bark to ensure that she had a good grip before she lifted one of her hind paws, pressing and digging her claws into the bark. Now, lifting her last paw, she couldn’t help but hesitate at the weird feeling–it felt unnatural. It took her a few moments of placing her paw back onto the ground, lifting it, and repeating, before she got at least a tad bit used to the odd feeling and placed her last paw against the wood as well, digging her claws into the bark.

Glancing to Honeybite, she cast the warrior a sheepish grin. “You’re right, it feels really odd.”

Bloomingblaze led the patrol into the territory.
Honestly, she was glad Shrewstep had showed up, albeit a close call, so they could carry more herbs.
Thyme, wild garlic, and yarrow.
Should be easy enough.
She gave the air a quick sniff, though the wild garlic would probably have the most distinct smell.

Dogpaw was overwhelmed by all the smells and quietly tried not to seem soft. He toughly began following the smell of wild garlic and soon found some. "Bloomingblaze, I found some Wild Garlic!"

Honeybite carefully watched Midnightpaw as she tested her grip on the tree. The first paw was good, and latched without issue to the bark beneath her claws. It was that final paw that seemed to cause her pause, as she put it back to the ground for a moment before hauling it back up, and securing herself in the position she'd taken up.
Their eyes lingered for a moment more, just in case any number of things went wrong, but the apprentice held fast, and was still in a good enough mood to make a quip.

They returned Midnightpaw's grin with a brief upwards tick of their mouth and their whiskers twitching ever so slightly.
"It becomes easier with practice," they assured.
Honeybite's eyes then scanned the tree, and where the nearest branch for each of them was. They took a breath, and addressed the apprentice again.
"Scaling the rest of the tree will work similarly. One paw in front of the other, always being sure you're securely latched. There's a branch maybe three tail-lengths above us. You'll want to make sure at least half of your body is above it before trying to maneuver yourself onto it."
They take a few steps up, showing Midnightpaw how they climbed before returning their attention.
"Take it nice and slow if you need to. I'll stay beside you as you make your way up."

AND his comment about finding the garlic had been ignored. That was alright though, Shrewstep was a smart cookie (at least he liked to think of himself as relatively clever) and so would adapt to his patrolmates fixation with garlic by finding.....something else. What were the other options again? Marigold? Yarrow? Thyme? One of those was probably wrong, but they were all herbs he had been sent after before so Mossfreckle probably wouldn't murder him if any of the above were brought back. Then again, he wanted to make sure he got the right things. Maybe he'd better try and get a couple of them, or maybe he would throw caution to the wind, and let Starclan decide his fate.

Yarrow, at least, had a pretty distinctive flower which would probably be coming up now (at least he hoped so, he had no clue how to identify it otherwise) so Shrewstep chose to focus on that one. And also, he could see a big floofyish white thing that looked flowery so he figured 'close enough' and made his way over. Looked.....herby. He wasn't really sure what part Mossfreckle wanted so he just....dug the whole thing up. Actually dug three of the plants up, roots and all. If Mossfreckle didn't want the root, that was about to be his problem, Shrewstep wasn't paid enough to learn herbs on top of how to fight and all that stuff. “Well, looks like we’re doing good so far.” She thought aloud.
The only thing that they hadn’t gotten so far was thyme.
She could find that easily enough.
She sniffed around, looking for the plant that Mossfreckle had described.
Bloomingblaze spotted some.
That was a lot.
She picked up as much as she could carry.

She grumbled to herself due to her muffled speech, so she silently gestured to Dogpaw and then the thyme.
