He still sat close. His goal was to make the cat feel better, and when he had a goal, he didn't fail, no matter how long it would take. He padded next to the kit. "Why are you crying?" he asked softly, laying down slightly now, his head tilted to the side just slightly, so he could see her. He didn't want to be rude, or make her even more mad-- he tried his best to be calm.
He watched the cat a bit more before turning away.

Sunkit held their breath, careful to stay completely still. In front of them was a tall apprentice, turning over all the moss beds and freshening the nursery up. As the she-cat came closer to the bed that Sunkit was hiding other, they quivered with glee. The last cat who came along managed to catch them, but not this time! I’m gonna make her run out of here in fear! they thought. No one messed with Sunkit’s moss!

"Hello there little one. Yes I am doing chores, the nursery beds need to be changed often since a lot of cats use one bed! I am Adderpaw" She said softly to the little kit.
She had no clue of the ambush set up for her so Adderpaw went over to Sunkit's bed. She had a large plump bundle of moss and was getting ready to change the aging bed.
Sunkit wiggled their haunches and pounced. “I got you!” They yowled. Being a kit, they could only jump so far, and they landed on Adderpaw’s nose before sliding off and delivering a flurry of soft blows to Adderpaw’s legs. “Who dares to trespass into Sunstar’s abode?” Catching sight of another kit nearby, Sunkit pranced up to them eagerly, inviting the other kit to join in. “Come on Whalekit! Let’s chase this rogue away from our territory!”
