Sparkpaw gave a slanted frown. She really didn't trust Softshadow, but she wasn't about to leave Stormpaw alone with him.

We can't let anything happen that could make him think that we're lying and we aren't actually here with our mentors. So, we can't go with him. Besides, Sparkpaw might think that I think that she's a better hunter than me, and I can't let that happen, can I?
