Is it...Foxstep half-blinked out of his stupor, the prickling feeling of eye contact washing his pelt in discomfort. His gaze sharpened as he realized (or re-realized) that, yes, he'd been staring at Drizzlecloud. A frown overcame his blank expression as he tried to decipher the loaded look the spotted tabby was giving him. If the nod was of greeting, then what more could she be trying to communicate? He didn't care, he decided. He'd rather continue staring, even as Drizzlecloud turned to talk to Chesnutfall and later pay attention to Bumblestar's words.
Belatedly, Foxstep strung together the meaning of "Spiderthroat" and "deputy." He shot the calico a curious look. The former Head Hornet had been the obvious choice, in retrospect. Bumblestar's judgment may have been off with him, but Foxstep knew plain as day that, shoddy attitude notwithstanding, the newly appointed deputy was a good fit (and choice) for the clan. Then again, what would he know? Probably not much.
With a well-hidden yawn, the russet tabby returned to his complacent staring. What else did the meeting have in store for them? Reassignments, because the warriors in this clan continued to slack off? Foxstep scrunched up his nose. He hoped Fireflypaw and Treepaw's new mentors were training them well. It'd be a shame to waste their potential. Well, whatever would further be announced would be soon, so he could just stop wondering like a loser.

The blind she-cat padded out of the warriors den and gave a quick glance to the queen's den. She'd check on her kits later. They raised their nose to the sky to find FallenHeart, SunLeap or FoxStep's scent. It caught it's brother's scent wafting in the air and followed it's direction. After she got to where she believed her brother sat she said "Hello, brother." and sat next to him. They had arrived just in time to hear BumbleStar announce the new deputy. SpiderThroat. Fantastic. "I hope this war ends soon..." She said to her brother. "I don't want the kits to get mixed up in it when they're apprenticed...." She added.
Mushroomkit slightly perked is ears at the call of his name. The kit felt a lot better from the herbs the med cats gave him, so he walked over with pride. If only his father could see him now..And Jaggedface..

rowanhowl found himself situated in the middle of the gathered, sitting cats. spiderthroat was a good choice- not that he'd known him well, but being head hornet, it was obvious. rowanhowl still had a lot of mixed feelings, though, which he decided to avoid getting in to.
when the meeting moved on swiftly, he had to admit that he was quite glad. new apprentices? that'd be nice, to have new eager and wide-eyed youths to pad out their ranks! they were rather excited, too, and sat with head high. their thick tail curled around them as they listened intently to bumblestar.

Rainclaw was too terrified that Beetlekit might get hurt to be happy that she was being apprenticed.
Sunleap was happy that Beetlekit would finally get to be a apprentice with her sisters.
Sheeppaw keept grooming herself.
Dogpaw was silently upset that she would have to share a den with Beetlekit AGAIN! She had LOVED the moon she spent not having to sleep in the same den as either Rainclaw or Beetle[I]kit and now she would have to share a den with Beetlekit again! UGH.

Rosekit had been in the nursery not paying attention to the first call of the leader for the meeting. Though the kits head perked up and they instantly got up from their spot in the nursery and ran out to the stormcrest looking up at the leader with excited eyes.
