Looking quite frazzled as he padded back into camp by himself, Pondwhisker went straight to Gingerfrost. He shook his pelt with a huff and snorted. "Fox over at Smallpines, and there was a weirdly fallen tree.. It was too straight of a break. Im unsure as to where Hollowstorm or Lilyleaf went off to." He sat himself down to await the deputys response.
dropping her mouse off at the prey pile, violetfreckle trudged forward to report to gingerfrost. once she found the deputy, the tabby began disheartendly. "there wasn't too much prey for some reason -- but antlerstreak and i managed to get two pieces of prey. trust me, that was really the most we could get. we tried our best."
Antlerstreak solemnly followed behind Violetfreckle. He dropped his chickadee on the prey pile, watched it tumble off of the top and land, cushioned by older kills, near the bottom.
He blinked his amber eyes, silent, as he listened to Violetfreckle’s short, disheartened recount of the hunting patrol. After waiting a moment to see if Violetfreckle would say anything else, he chimed in with his addition, “Considering that we’re so early into leafbare and already having so much trouble finding prey, I would recommend we focus more efforts on hunting, maybe more than two cats on patrols next time? That’s just my assessment, though.”
Antlerstreak was never one to tell another cat how to do their job, but in this instance, he felt that some friendly advice, or a well-meaning attempt to give friendly advice, wouldn’t hurt.

Stonehollow's cry announced his arrival before he even appeared, blasting through the camp entrance. His pelt was puffy, his eyes wide! He looked like he'd just seen a ghost. He ABSOLUTELY HAD! .. heard one.
"Dustyrose-- she's missing! I thought she went out with me, but when I turned back-- she was gone! And the trees were whispering-- the spirit got her, dude." Quieter, he sank toward the ground, trying to regain his breath. "I can't go back, I think it wants me too. It was howling for me."
Snapping around at the call of his name, the tabby's ear perked for danger. Only there was none. At least, none other than a panicking Stonehollow that seemed to crumble at his feet. A look of almost disbelief overcame the deputy as he looked down at the frazzled warrior, just about catching his words. Dustyrose, missing? Whispering trees? A spirit? ...What.
Gingerfrost wasn't unfamiliar with the stories surrounding the Sleepy Thicket, this was just the first time he'd seen someone genuinely... Afraid of the place, and a warrior at that. It wasn't exactly comfortable there, but still. Regaining his thoughts with slight shake of his head, he peered down at Stonehollow. "You came running back, alone, because a spirit caught Dustyrose..?"
He could barely hold back a sigh. Frankly, he hadn't even seen the molly leave camp. Or seen her within camp at all that specific day, save for early in the morning. It wouldn't surprise him if she hadn't at all left - and now this? Had the warrior even at all caught anything? It certainly did not look like it. "I'll keep an eye out for Dustyrose. You didn't at all catch anything, did you?" heaving that sigh, "Try to take some prey with you next time you run from a spirit."
You know he couldn't even be mad at this. It just sounded too... Weird.

Upon her arrival, she realized just how muddy her paws had gotten and stomped around in a puddle to clean them before padding up to Gingerfrost. "All is well, there was a recent scent of Shadowclan there, but I assume it was just them patrolling, as the smell was on their side. Other than that, nothing unusual. Maybe ask Pebblesplash and Mudpaw to keep on track though, all they did was talk about who Mudpaw fancied." She sighed, already feeling bad for the two. Honestly, just stay focused, you never know if you miss something because you were on a whim.
After the... Stonehollow situation, it wasn't much longer before he spotted Raccoonear stomp back into camp. Hopefully this patrol had better news than the previous one. And it appeared so, much to the tom's preference. Giving a nod to the shield's words, he dully took note of Mudpaw's and Pebblesplash's inattentiveness. The apprentice wasn't much surprising, he expected that - though the warrior was something else, but he had to suppose that some just liked small talk. He would never understand that, but oh well. As long as she didn't miss anything important. With a last nod of thanks to Raccoonear, he gave a flick of his tail as a sign that she could go on her way.
Slatestripe returned to camp with his gull and deposited it on the fresh-kill pile. Content with his performance in lack of help, he padded over to Gingerfrost. “Wolfpaw didn’t show up, so I completed the hunting patrol on my own. I caught a large gull and brought it back.” He was glad nothing out of the ordinary had happened, given that he’d been alone.
Next up was Slatestripe, timely and alone. He gave a nod to the warrior's report, a bit disappointed with Wolfpaw's lack of presence: for all the slacking mentors, apprentices that didn't show up to patrols or training weren't any better. He'd have to see if he could catch Wolfpaw for a chat on that later. With no words necessary, he gave Slatestripe such a nod that he could take his leave. It was only one bird, but it should be big enough to feed at least two queens and a kit.

As long as the deputy didn't need anything else, Featherflame would be on her way.

She wondering if Mr. Gingerfrost had anything else to say to them; if not, she's rush off to share her new information with Bouncepaw and Mudpaw.
The second border patrol, it sounded like everything went well and he could see the giddiness of Bluebellpaw. He made the right choice sending her there with these two, although Gingerfrost did slightly raise his cat brow at Featherflame's comment. "What sort of advice did you give them?"
No, it wasn't that he didn't trust Featherflame. It was that he didn't fully trust the words that slipped out of the warrior's mouth: she appeared chatty, who knows what sort of advice she could have given the WindClan deputy. So, he felt inclined to ask just in case.

Fox... weirdly cut tree... Gingerfrost grimaced. It appeared ThunderClan had decided to be their trouble border this moon, hopefully it wouldn't become a habit. He knew ThunderClan themselves had little to do with it, but nonetheless, it was by their border. "Will look for them if they don't show up soon." The tabby muttered before returning his gaze on the warrior "You were able to chase it off?"
Seen as Reedwhisker was here, the answer seemed quite obvious. Still, if there was anything else to that, he'd rather know. That being said, it wouldn't hurt to check out that tree as well.

The amount of prey was worrying. If it continued as such, at least. With Slatestripe's one gull, no sign of Frogfern's patrol and this -- leafbare wasn't looking good if it kept going this way. But the tabby shook the thought off, it was but the start of leafbare and the previous patrols hadn't been... Bad. Giving a nod to Violetfreckle's report, his eyes turned to Antlerstreak and his suggestion. It wasn't a bad one, though would change little if patrols either didn't get completed or half the members disappeared. Still, he'd take it into consideration. "I'll keep that in mind."
He told the warrior with a final nod, dismissing the two cats in the process.
She waited patiently for the green light so she could leave. Until, Gingerfrost questioned Featherflame. She could hear a small amount of confusion in his voice at the 'advice' and 'Windclan' bit, so she felt a small urge to jump in.
"Oh, Ms. Featherflame just recommended for them to line their nests with pelts to keep warm this leaf-bare." She looked up at the other molly, for confirmation, and also to see if her memory failed her or not.
At least Goldenleaf and Rainfern took ownership of their mistakes and did their punishments, even if it did take them both longer than it should have.
Peachpaw, Tallpaw, and Moonpaw still had more time to complete their punishments. Wildholly and Irispaw, however, had failed to materialize the correct effort to complete their punishments… again.
Given all that Pikestar had going on, Slatestripe felt it was more appropriate to send Wildholly to Gingerfrost for him to deal with. The deputy could make the decision as to whether or not it was necessary to involve Pikestar. Slatestripe didn’t feel he had the right level of authority to proceed here, since in his mind Wildholly deserved to be temporarily exiled.
Irispaw, he could still handle. In his mind, the apprentice deserved an extra moon added to her training. But, he would give her one last chance with a more lax punishment. “Irispaw!” he called, the anger in his voice clear. “You have failed to complete the punishment assigned to you. This is your final chance to prove your worth in this Clan. If you fail again, I’ll be recommending a stint in the nursery to Gingerfrost. Go and clean out the nests in the nursery. Every single one. When you’re done with that, bring one of the queens a piece of prey. Return to me and report when you’ve finished.”
( @Zero If Irispaw does not complete this punishment within 7 IRL days, Slatestripe will recommend that she be temporarily demoted and sent to the nursery. If you need an extension or have any issues, please reach out to me via PM ahead of the due date )
Now, for Wildholly. The dark warrior summoned his denmate with another angry cry. “Rainfern and Goldenleaf were able to complete their punishments, so you have no excuse for your slacking. Go speak to Gingerfrost and tell him that you failed to complete two separate patrol punishments. Tell him that I am recommending you for temporary exile. Before you leave the camp, come see me to ensure I know you’ve spoken with him as told.”
( @Miss Christmas Spirit You’ll have 7 IRL days to have Wildholly speak with Gingerfrost. When that’s done, report to Slatestripe. If you have any issues or need an extension, please let me know via PM before the due date )

I'm attempting to reply to my main roleplays once a day! (if there are responses for me to reply to anyway) However, I might miss some days on the weekend (fri-sun) because I'm often away from home and my computer during that time of the week.
Line their nests... With pelts. Pelts. Gingerfrost wondered whether Bluebellpaw was aware of what that insinuated; his eyes momentarily trained on her with flat cat brows before looking to Featherflame. Hopeless. These cats were hopeless. Pelts??
Theoretically, it wasn't a bad idea. It was bound to keep one nice and warm, just... He didn't exactly fancy the idea of someone's dead skin in his nest. Or a prey's dead skin, despite how small it would be. The least... Peculiar would be a fox's or Badger's skin, which.. Hm. He supposed that could work, if it got thoroughly cleaned first... Maybe. Hopefully he wouldn't hear about this at the next gathering, who knew how that could've sounded. Blinking away his momentary state of 'what the heck', he gave a slow nod and flicked his tail for their dismissal.
It seemed Frostpaw had gone missing, so that just left Tallpaw and Peachpaw to punish further for the time being. Slatestripe was sick of punishing these same cats by this point. He was done being Mr. Nice Guy. If his Clanmates couldn’t be bothered to complete what he felt were fair punishments, then they didn’t deserve their rank.
“Tallpaw and Peachpaw!” he called, his voice laced with an angry poison. “The two of you have failed to complete the punishments assigned to you. I’m especially disappointed in you, Tallpaw. You clearly aren’t fit to return to the rank of warrior. Hell, I don’t even think you’re fit to be in this Clan right now. Go talk to Gingerfrost immediately and tell him that I am recommending you for temporary exile for not completing your patrol punishments.”
The dark warrior swung his amber gaze toward Peachpaw. “I have half a mind to send you to tell Gingerfrost the same thing, but since you’re an apprentice I think a different punishment would be more fitting. By not completing your punishment, you have proven that you cannot handle the responsibility of being an apprentice. So, perhaps some time in the nursery will remind you. From this moment on until your punishment is complete, you will be known as Peachkit. You are to live in the nursery, and are not permitted to leave camp under any circumstances. You may continue your training as you are capable within camp. You will retain the rank of kit for one quarter moon.”
( @fernmass You have 7 IRL days to have Tallpaw go to Gingerfrost and inform him that Slatestripe is recommending him for temporary exile. If you fail to do this, Slatestripe will speak with Gingerfrost himself.
@Little Dakota Peachpaw has been demoted to the rank of kit for the next 7 IRL days. They should be referred to as Peachkit, and should abide by the rules defined for kits. They may continue training, but may not leave camp.
