Mistberry put her paw over his and listened closely. "Its ok to be sad sometimes." she purred at him and nodded. "Hunting could take our minds of this."

Mirepaw was sitting by himself. He wasn't sure if anyone would want to be friends with him. After all, he was an outsider. A half-clan outsider. Mirepaw didn't have any surviving relatives here, as far as he could tell, but his mother said that Darkpetal had another mate, which presumably meant Mirepaw could have half-siblings. Perhaps he wasn't as alone as he had thought.

Sunsplash, a ThunderClan queen, padded over to Mirepaw. Sitting beside him, she set her tail tip on his shoulder. ''Is something wrong, young apprentice?'' She murmured.
Due to her round belly, Sunsplash was having a hard time breathing. Every cat in ThunderClan knew that she was close to kitting. Sunsplash's mate, Stormpool, had died soon after she had told him that she had been expecting.
Sunsplash's amber-and-green eyes glittered with concern as she looked at Mirepaw.
