Slatestripe appreciated Rainfern’s promptness. He nodded in understanding as she revealed her pregnancy to him, but shook his head as she volunteered to still sleep outside. “If you’re pregnant, it wouldn’t be wise for you to sleep in the cold. Your kits don’t deserve to be punished for their mother’s negligence.”

He thought for a moment about an alternative punishment. “You may bring prey to one of our elders and to Pikestar instead of sleeping in the clearing. When you’ve finished, please report back to me.” He felt that was a suitable punishment, since she wouldn’t be taxing herself but would still be doing an extra duty.

( @Fernwillow This punishment should be completed within 10 IRL days. Each post of Rainfern bringing food should be at least 25 words )

Rainfern returned to the presence of Slatestripe to report back. “Punishment complete! I have delivered prey to both Pikestar and Amberbright!”

Raccoonear silently stalked back into camp, her tail swishing behind her. She stayed out in the territory after her two patrol mates had completed all of their duties and she had done hers, to check up on their own territory and not just the borders. Upon her arrival, she realized just how muddy her paws had gotten and stomped around in a puddle to clean them before padding up to Gingerfrost. "All is well, there was a recent scent of Shadowclan there, but I assume it was just them patrolling, as the smell was on their side. Other than that, nothing unusual. Maybe ask Pebblesplash and Mudpaw to keep on track though, all they did was talk about who Mudpaw fancied." She sighed, already feeling bad for the two. Honestly, just stay focused, you never know if you miss something because you were on a whim.

Slatestripe returned to camp with his gull and deposited it on the fresh-kill pile. Content with his performance in lack of help, he padded over to Gingerfrost. “Wolfpaw didn’t show up, so I completed the hunting patrol on my own. I caught a large gull and brought it back.” He was glad nothing out of the ordinary had happened, given that he’d been alone.

With a rather uneventful border patrol, Featherflame led the other two back to camp.
"We stumbled upon a Windclan border patrol while we were out. I offered some helpful advice to them, but other than that there is nothing to report!" She flashed a smile Gingerfrost's way. As long as the deputy didn't need anything else, Featherflame would be on her way.

She followed Featherflame back to camp, feeling giddiness than normal. Newfound knowledge was something to be treasured; she was lucky to have learned something on the spot on a patrol, no less.

She listened as Featherflame gave the report, nodding. "Mhm!" She agreed. "Mr. Fallownose was on it."

She wondering if Mr. Gingerfrost had anything else to say to them; if not, she's rush off to share her new information with Bouncepaw and Mudpaw.
