Blackkit yawned as she padded out of the nursery, her icy blue eyes blinked. Her gaze shifted up to the sky then down and around the clearing. Her eyes searched for both of her fathers, Tuftedtusk and Owlthroat. She loved both of them with all her heart, and was definitely a daddies girl
But she also wanted to know where her siblings were. Olivekit [ @Eidolon ], Yarrowkit [ @Luna16 ], Talonkit [ @GreenTheGreat ], and Mimickit [ @Starphobia ]. Where could they all be? she thought
Blackkit squeaked in surprise as she felt someone jump on her back. Her gaze shifted behind her and her icy blue eyes landed on Yarrowkit. "What are you doing!" she meowed.

Yarrowkit, still on Black-kit's back, simply shrugged. "I dunno. You looked like you were just walking around aimlessly so I pounced." At this time, she slid off her sister, whiskers twitching with mischievous glee. "Gotta practice for pouncing on mice."

The tom was laying in the clearing when he saw his daughters, Yarrowkit and Blackkit come out of the nursery. Chuckling as tiny yarrow pounced on her sister, he would call over to them.
"Yarrowkit, Blackkit, come see your father!" He mewed, eyes shining.
Blackkit looked at her sister and shook her head, giving a slight frown. "You know we have a long way to go to become apprentices." Her icy blue eyes looked at her. Suddenly Blackkit's ears perked up at the sound of her father, Tuftedtusk. Her gaze instantly moved in the direction of his voice. She let out a big purr when her eyes landed on him. "Daddy!" she yelled happily, she pushed Yarrowkit ever so slightly before running over to him.

"Pffft details." Yarrowkit waved her tail dismissively. "Just because it's not for a while, doesn't mean we can't-" She turned sharply at the sound of Tuftedtusk's voice. "Daddy!" She called, one heartbeat after Black-kit had. She growled when Black-kit shoved her, even if it was slight it was completely unacceptable. Yarrowkit would not be bested! She rushed forward, moving her little legs twice as hard as Black-kit to try and reach Tuftedtusk first. "I'll get there first!" She declared, narrowing her eyes at Black-kit in a challenge.

Blackkit laughed at Yarrowkit as she already had a head start. "Sure! But I'm already in the lead." She giggled as she ran. She knew Yarrowkit was a little bossy but she loved her sister and always had fun with her.

Watching his kittens race over to him filled his chest with joy. Daddy. He adored it when his kits called him dad. Watching them have a good natured race, he would perk his ears up.
"Don't get too tuckered, kiddos!" He warned, smiling and stifling a chuckle. "You won't be able to tackle the big bad fox if your tired!" He let out a rumbling meow, stomping his paws on the dirt as he laid down.
