"Advanced enough to take over the medicine cat role," Fawnsqueak confirmed sarcastically, not bothering to recognize who the jab was aimed at but feeling his stress compound. It wasn't reassuring to know that Otterstone couldn't treat an infection despite using herbs on the wound, and he wondered if she'd even remember the 'remedy' for Warblerpaw so they could distinguish what'd gone wrong. Thistlestep's relay of the instructions had him nodding a confirmation and wishing he could work with his brother on this since they seemed to share a similar thought path, the same logical conclusions. "Yeah, chew it into a pulp and kind of.. massage it in."

His smile was fleeting, but it was there. "I'd like that. Would kind of be nice to have a break, to be honest." Fawnsqueak wasn't sure he'd be holding Thistlestep to that but did naively hope he was serious about the offer.

Dogkit padded out of the Medicine den. He looked around for Cloudkit and Foxpaw. His copper eyes searched the clearing.

Honestly. Has he been living under a rock all his life?

Oh, well. Hivekit did enjoy talking, so she supposed it was alright.

It was also one of her best friends asking, so it was double alright!

"Actually.", she said, a grin plastered across her face.

"I come from the place all twolegs build their dens! I used to come across at least five a day- and that was if I'm being extra careful to avoid them!"

Though usually, I'm not.

What's the point of that?

"They may seem scary and big," she continued, "But they just like to touch your fur and sometimes give you food! Well, mostly. Some are mean!"

She shuddered a bit as she recalled the stories some of her fellow strays had told her.

"Careful if they have a long, grey stick though, okay? Iv'e heard nasty stories about those!"

After a moment, however, Hivekit uncurled her tail.

"Your turn! Tell me something cool now!

Dogkit froze as he saw Foxpaw running over. He stared at the ground, full of guilt."Is there somewhere I can talk to you privately?" he asked, looking back up at her.
