No, No, NO! Her sister, even her favorite, shouldn’t be getting more attention than herself! Sure, she planned on seeing her father and his ‘friends’ at some point, but she had to bother her sister! “Butterfly!” she found up to her sister, then to the two…extras. Other clan extras…she didn’t have an issue with them, they didn’t seem like they were fish. They were just irrelevant to her, as was anyone but SpiderDad and Aunty Bumble…maybe Butterfly? But that was all! She just stared at the other apprentices.

Windpaw instantly brightened up more (If that was even possible) when Littlepaw made her appearance. "SIS! HI!" She chirped, pretty darn loud, which was pretty uncharacteristic for her. But don't blame her! She was just really really excited to be at her first Gathering, and with Littlepaw, too!
The tabby tortoiseshell turned to look at her new friend again (Yep, officially considered Windpaw's friend now, whether they like it or not!), and with a slight tilt of her head, asked, "Soooo, who's your mentor?"

"Oh, I just became one not that long ago too!" Butterflypaw replied when Windpaw mentioned she had just become an apprentice.
Before she could continue to reply, someone else had come over.
She seemed to know Windpaw, so she was probably from WindClan too or something.
Butterflypaw didn't even notice the suspicion from Littlepaw.
The dilute calico blinked a few times, glancing between her sister and the ThunderClanner. Then, a loud shriek made her turn her head as another ThunderClan cat approached them. It appeared they knew each other and when this new cat simply stared at them, Littlepaw narrowed her eyes a little. "Hello! I'm Littlepaw. This is my sister, Windpaw. You are...?" the she-cat would greet them.
One thing they'd learn quickly was that Littlepaw didn't lose at staring games. The blue-eyed she-cat blinked once more, staring intensely at the newcomer. This wouldn't change until Dawnstar made her presence known. The young apprentice turned her gaze to look at the leader, jumping straight into the announcements like she owned the place. "I'd hate to have her as a leader..." she murmured to the group around her, grimacing a little.
She'd let her gaze drift over the ShadowClan crowd, an odd-colored apprentice catching her gaze momentarily. She was near a dark tabby tom, whom seemed to have the attention of another apprentice and the.. ShadowClan deputy? That was who that one-eyed cat was, right? Eh. Not important right now, considering they'd just demote their high ranks suddenly. She couldn't help but recall the judgement passed on RiverClan not keeping their ranks too.
Littlepaw would glance back towards the group of apprentices around her, curious to their reactions to everything. Honestly, Littlepaw wasn't sure how react to the announcements, or if she even should.
The Commander's gaze was met with a similar confused light. So, Mistlewhisker wasn't aware of this until tonight, too, huh. His ears flicked, almost a silent agreement to pick her brain about this after the fact. Honestly, he was about to get up and go set his head on the rock she was sitting on like some love-struck puppy dog. Maybe beg her to share her fluffy pelt with him; he'd fit between her legs as a happy loaf, surely, she'd let him if he asked. but someone broke his train of thought.
Green eyes shifted to in confusion to see Hollowpaw coming back around to him. Her ears looked pale and her eyes, glossy. He'd tilt his head a little, but as they averted their gaze, he'd respect their boundaries. He was never one to go prying unless prompted to. "Yeah, no problem, kiddo," Hawkbite spoke, his paw lifting and lightly wrapping around their back to draw them into his fur.
His assumption was the cold. Maybe Hollowpaw was just cold? It would've been their first leaf-bare, especially at a Gathering. If they accepted the gesture to be brought into a soft embrace, he'd remain quiet and just try to keep them warm. If they had drawn away from him, he'd just cast a glance in their direction to make sure they were steady on their paws. "If we need to head back early, just tell me. You're not a burden," Hawkbite spoke, not intentionally reading the thoughts they were having.
The last of the other clans had arrived, all deputies but Spiderthroat (ever a hater of gatherings and more settled then the newer deputies so less at risk of a scolding) had arrived. Time for our regularly scheduled drama.
This time it was from a rare(r) sourse however, Dawnstar herself. Turns out shadowclans lack of medicine cats was not due to the occasional laziness of the cats in the rank or them simply being at the back of the pack, no shadowclans medicine cats would not be showing at all. And, of course, they would be getting no real explanation as to why or why that appeared to be news to shadowclan. News that made Dawnstar furious.
Crowtooth doubted he be getting answers, it'd be to easy for the contrary clan, though he had suspicions. After all Rookfire was once a fish who'd turned on their own clan to join another not much better in morals, that was two strikes already. Coming out of the situation displeased could only be expected when one selected and then bit into rotten crowfood.
He wasnt going to stir the pot, not worth it tonight when it was already cold and miserable. No, instead the tom leaned over to the other deputies, giving a raspy chirp to attract their attention before asking. "I got a bet fer yall. I bet yall I got the stupidest excuse from a warrior fer not completein' their patrol ever an' yall cant top it.
He said he 'didnt hear me' call 'im ta go out when he literally responded ta me callin' 'im ta go out an' said he'd bring me a rabbit. Seriously, said he'd bring me a rabbit an' tried ta lie ta my face he didnt later.
Top that."
Crowtooth felt that while it was technically possible it'd be hard to top the audacity of a full grown adult warrior, not even a young one, lying to the deputy's face. And if they could it'd be funny to hear about at least.

And the group grew!
Firey was here!
Looks like ShadowClan was arriving too.
Their high ranks seemed spooky.
Ah, right! She had been asked questions! "Me and Firey-ah, Fireflypaw," She should probably tell them the right name, weird saying it out loud though "Are papa's apprentices! He's Spiderthroat and he's super cool."
She has no idea about keeping information secret.
The main thing she remembers about secrets at least, though, is to the lther clans Hollowpaw is also papa's apprentice.
Bumble definitely stressed that point enough.
Big secrets weren't gonna slip her mouth anytime soon! "Speaking of Papa," She then said, more to just Firey "Do you think he'll be here or he's... busy?"
She doesn't wanna say anything about the sick camp out loud either. Probably not smart.
But, she hadn't spotted him yet. Maybe he was just blending in?
But he wasn't up there.
Butterflypaw wanted to be sure.

The russet apprentice glanced around at the gathered cats. The fish were here. He was forever glad he was a fluffy cat. Cold air bit at his face and paws, and he had half a mind to curl up on himself for warmth right then and there. But he didn't. Because Cardinalpaw may be a dumbass, but he had basic respect for the other clans and himself. He instead tucked his paws as close to his belly as he could while sitting and dealt with the cold. He glanced up as Dawnstar launched straight into her announcements. Rats gone, some warrior executed, Rookfire demoted- wait. Rookfire demoted?? Huh. He'd never spoken to the tom, but it was still a surprise. Okayy then. Cardinalpaw shrugged once Dawnstar had finished speaking, and he returned to observing the cats.

They’d arrived slightly late, but it didn’t bother him overly. Confusion crossed his face at Dawnstar’s announcement of Rookfire’s demotion, this was news to all of them. Confusing news. He’d always seen him as rather dedicated to his role, performing all that he should have. But he wasn’t daft, there was more to this story and all would be explained later.
His head tipped to one side as he idly listened in, maybe she’d wisened up about the Riverclan plague that seemed to flock to Shadowclan when they became sick of their homes.

Cottonpaw regained his confidence, moving his way back to the Windclan crowd. He was still anxious as anything, but shoved it down all the way to his quivering nub of a tail.
