Hehe, okay, time to learn!! Heroneye wanted him to list some clan duties... Uh... What had he seen his mother doing before?? To be honest, he wasn't very observant. He had no idea. Softkit, seemed to know a lot though! He tilted his head, listening to the cat talk. When it came to his turn, he still didn't have many ideas, but he hazarded a guess. "Shellkit!!" He shouted, shuffling his paws excitedly. "Uh, erm, maybe cleaning?"
It seemed like modelling the crouch had been the way to go, with most of the kits picking up an acceptable position after a few adjustments made on their own. They all looked a little off, but that was to be expected. Plus, the crouch wasn't meant to be stationary. You were meant to MOVE. And after Caveclaw had provided a bit of feedback for all of the kits, Splashleap was going to encourage them to get moving. And maybe remind Rosekit and Shorekit to keep their tails up. They wouldn't make much sound here, in the rocky, sandy mountains, but in a marsh or in a thicket the leaves on the ground would be rustling.
Alright, good job kits! she purred, popping out of her own crouch for a moment. The next thing y'all need to try is moving around in that position. See what you have to change about it to make motion feel natural, and see how fast you can get around without making too much noise. She doubted they would have much trouble being quiet, the ground wasn't littered with crackly things, but it was worth reminding them. If your tail drags here you might not hear it, but if it's on the ground anywhere there are plants, any prey will notice you coming foxlengths away. With her instructions given Splashleap returned to her own crouch, stalking her way in a small circle. The kits were welcome to follow her, or chart their own paths to practice on. @Omari @CloudlessEve @KestrelPaw @ollie @beau @Idiotic.Bean101
Sandtuft also got into his crouch, remembering what was going on and breaking out of his thoughts.

clan relations, knew that already. high ranks, who cares about the other high ranks? Special talents, ok what would he need with that information. Nothing about revenge, or about their weaknesses. Great. aspenkit looked at the elder and then at Irisfrost. He could tell that they might be wondering why he was there, it's not like he was young enough not to remember or have experienced the battle. He was there. He remembers it vividly. He had come to this lesson in hopes to gain information on his new found enemies, after his chat with Fadingstar he had come to learn he shouldn't talk about his need for revenge. It was allowed or well received unfortunately. You'd think everyone would agree they should take action but guess not.
"I know the other clans are a bunch pathetic excuses of dung and think they can team up and bully us. They are cowards, that's why the teamed together since they knew they could win alone. Their scum, don't deserve the title clan and that the forest would be better off without them." he hopes they rot and that starclan shuns them away. He wouldn't say that out loud though, those were thoughts for him and him alone. "other than that, not much. I didn't really learn anything about the other three.....clans" he added, forcing the last word out as if it were painful to say it.

“Well, you could say that, at least." Algaebird chuckled, at least Windclan could of chucked them out by their selves. “Thunderclan are good tree-climbers, Shadowclan are the stealthiest and Windclan is swift on their paws.” they taught the young tom-kit.
In response to her question, Aspenkit went off on a monologue about how he hated the other clans. His words caused sadness to flicker in her heart; he was a kit, he shouldn't have these thoughts. He's right, though. The other clans had caused them so much damage, not just physical but also physiological. He must have watched the battle- the bloodbath. Her jaw clenched slightly, the only outward indication of her thoughts as Aspenkit told her he didn't know much about the other clans.
Algaebird informed the kit of the clan's special skills, and then it was her turn. "ThunderClan's leader is Bumblestar, her deputy is Spiderthroat, and their medicine cats are Drizzlecloud and Springlight. ShadowClan's leader is Dawnstar, her deputy is Mistlewhisker, their medicine cat is Mossfreckle and their apprentice is Grousepaw. WindClan's leader is Twilightstar and the medicine cat is Lightningstorm. She hasn't chosen a deputy yet after Fallownose's death, or at least before we were driven out. Some of the high ranks may have changed since then, but it's safe to assume they've stayed the same. The other clans' high ranks don't tend to change as quickly as RiverClan's."
It was a lot of information; hopefully Aspenkit remembered it all. "Any questions before we move on?" she asked him.
(Sorry if any of the information is inaccurate! I can't be bothered to search through threads to see which high ranks RiverClan knows so I'm just going off memory.)
ok that made, sense. Taking in the elders words he know understood why all the older warriors and apprentices referred to the other clans as rabbits, squirrels and toads. Ok he didn't understand the toad part oh well. Main point is that none of them knew how to swim. He knew that much. That was their weakness. Irisfrost then told him about the ranks. Thunderclan had full ranks, shadowclan had full ranks or atleast he thinks they do, while Windclan is missing two. Weakness. He'd remember those names, hopefully he'll learn to put a face to them. Those were the tyrants he needed to remember- for future uh things. Yeah. It all depended if his mother was still okay.
"uh no, I get it I think. What's the other clans territory like?" he asked looking at both of the cats in front him. Best thing he could do know is know as much as he can about his enemy.
Heroneye's gaze shifted between two of the kits, who had introduced themselves as Softkit and Shellkit respectively. Softkit had just asked Shellkit if his answer was the same as hers; could it be that they were going to start arguing? Heroneye admittedly knew very little about both kits, but young cats tended to quarrel about silly things like that, right? In any case. she decided to continue her little speech, hoping to distract them and put to rest any possible hostilities.
“You’re both right. Cleaning--in all its forms--is a vital part of Clan life. It may seem a bit boring, but properly cleaning nests and the area around the camp can prevent the spread of disease and lift Clan morale,” Heroneye explained with a flick of her tail.
Heroneye then turned to Flowkit. They hadn’t introduced themself, but that would have to have been their name, just based on process of elimination. “Yes, Flowkit, catching prey is also very important; we all need to eat, after all. It is especially important to provide for those who are unable to leave camp for a variety of reasons.”
The students had been doing well so far; they had each been able to name at least one responsibility that they would be taking on later in life. She was also pleased that they had named the particular tasks they had; many cats, she had to imagine, would have leapt right into the more “exciting” responsibilities (battling and training and the like) with no interest in the more mundane--yet equally important--ones.
“In addition to that, rather soon, you’ll each become apprentices,” Heroneye continued. “And with that, you’ll each be beginning your training--a very important responsibility, which will allow you all to become warriors. Do any of you know what sorts of things you’ll learn then?” Heroneye wasn’t sure if the specifics of apprentice training was an intended topic within “Clan duties”, but it was a responsibility each of these kits would eventually take on, right? So it was probably important to talk about.
Heroneye took a moment to breathe, gaze roaming over the clearing. She was actually doing this. She was talking. A lot more than usual. And what’s more is that she was pretty sure that things were going well so far. Just keep going, and try to stop getting so caught in the weeds for once, if you can manage that.
(i don’t really think you have to stick to a posting order. i’ve just been posting once each of the students have gotten at least one response out ^^)

Softkit gave a gentle nod in understanding as she listened. "Ohhh........ so were gonna have to do everything as well? My mother Sweetsap always tells me that it's a good thing to clean and hunt for the clan" Softkit purred gently.
(I love Heroneye sm <3 )

Algaebird thought for a second. ”Well, Thunderclan's is quite, uh, closed in shall we say? Shadowclan's is muddy and wet and Windclan's is quite flat." They nodded (short reply due to rush)

"Well, noooo..." He said tilting his head, "you'd, uh, clean floors and stuff, or something..." He conjured up a very unsure answer - he didn't really have a clue. So, now Heroneye was asking them about training. "Maybe, like, fighting?" His ears instinctually flattened just thinking about it. His mother was a good fighter, he knew that much. His sister would probably end up just like her. Shellkit? He wasn't too keen. "There's lots of other stuff to do though right??" He asked, nervously.
