Turtlepaw didn't seem the chattiest, which was fine. A bit dull, but fine. Not everyone was as linguistically gifted as Shrewstep liked to think himself. No matter. They would train, and he would probably get squashed to pieces if the molly´s seeming propensity for throwing her body around was to continue. He didn´t recall instructing her to headbutt him, and was thus taken somewhat aback as a hard skull collided with his ribcage. It might be a bit sore tomorrow, but no real damage had been done. It took a bit of self control to avoid turning on the youngster with slashing claws, a natural reaction to being attacked. He stilled himself however, and remained upright as the apprentice landed on his back. A soft Huh of air came rolling out of his mouth, and he set about trying to shake her off. His first attempt took the form of a brief drop in his left shoulder, and then his right hind leg. Hopefully, the swaying of his topline would destabilize Turtlepaw somewhat, perhaps even cause a fall, but in the event it didn´t, Shrewstep would try and push himself over onto his back, with strong front legs, potentially rolling Turtlepaw under him.
Turtlepaw
Tortoiseshell she-cat with yellow eyes
The molly was a bit surprised and happy that she got on the tom's back, but her happiness ended as Shrewstep attempted to shake her off. Since this was battle training she wasn’t going to unsheathe her claws, but what she was going to do as she fell was softly and lightly smack her paw on his head and near his eye.
After that she was feeling quite proud, “I believe your ear would be clawed and your eye would be sliced.” She meowed as she got into a fighting position once more, Turtlepaw wasn’t planing on chit chatting she was more or less ready to start fighting the rats.

゚・。・゚ they/he ~ medicine cat apprentice
The littler apprentice - Shadowpaw - seemed to be quite in her head Mossfreckle noticed as his mossy hues caught a glimpse of molly’s form snap to attention and try to hear the reminder of what they had been saying… hopefully she had heard at least something… oh stars what if she hadn’t his starry mind taunted quietly… imposter, liar, coward… he has trained and learned and done - he was quite good - but he was suited to the life of a medicine cat than that of a warrior… maybe he was a coward at the end of it day but he was also one of two felines who kept his beloved clan well and he took solace in that small calming fact. Rufflepaw on the other paw seemed to be up and ready to go, a stark contrast to shadowpaw but he wondered if this tom would kill mercilessly without regard… which stood against the warriors code.
“Okay Rufflepaw, take up a fighting stance and I will take a swing, dodge and mock a counterattack,” he meowed turning to fix his mossy gaze onto the more muscled and trained apprentice, “it will go some good for Shadowpaw to see what I meant by making sure to not dodge too far out of the way.” Mossfrekcle’s oriental form dipped to a fighting stance effortlessly - this stance he had practiced over and over for a life that now felt moons away - and oriental ears perked to hear his surroundings, a cacophony of lectured words and yowls filled his ears but soon all that was left was ocean static, his starry mind, and Rufflepaw standing in front of him… focus, focus, focus… that single words echoed in the voids of Mossfrekcle’s mind as anxiety prickled at his pelt and he took a swing at the apprentice with a swift but soft paw, teaching was meant to do just that teach, not to injure and humiliate the future of the clan…

Turtlepaw had done a decent job of hanging on, avoiding his initial shoulder dip and only going off when he really upped the shaking and threatened to roll over onto him. Her paw flitted towards his head and he recoiled, though perhaps not far enough as a paw pad still made contact with his ear. As the apprentice returned to a standard fighting stance he did the same, snorting slightly as she started......trash talking? Was that was this was? He didn´t really like to prattle during battle (ooh, rhyme!) unless it was Frogfang who it was hard to resist insulting, but he couldn´t resist snipping back JUST a bit. He tried to keep it polite though. I believe they would have been, if I was incapable of movement. As it is, I would have sustained a cut to my ear at the worst. Ears, as far as he could tell, were mostly expendable flesh. You didn´t need anything besides the bottom bits for hearing, so a nick to the tip was of no consequence besides a bit of pain.
With their first move completed, they had to practice the reverse. Turtlepaw was large enough that a smaller apprentice might try to jump on her, he certainly would have when he was younger, and she should still be able to support his weight briefly for now. I´m going to try and do what you just did to me to you, your job is to try and shake me off however you see fit. Shrewstep didn´t plan on actually shredding things whilst he was up there, claws were remaining sheathed and whatnot, but he wouldn´t be going off overly easily either. With his plan explained somewhat, he bunched his haunches and leaped into the air, hoping to land relatively squarely on the back of the apprentice and clamp his paws around her shoulders in order to stabilize himself if he did manage to find his target.

''Sparring with my apprentice, I see?''
A soft purr rumbled behind Shrewstep and Turtlepaw. Alderblossom had made her way forward, deep amber eyes sparkling with laughter.
Spiderpaw charged at Cornpuff, sheathed six-toed paws aiming for his belly.
Littlepaw charged at Cornpuff after his slightly larger sister did, though a bit more nervously than his sister. @starry @RoboPrism
Sighing, Cornpuff popped back, into the air, letting Spiderpaw slide to the ground. As soon as his front paw touched the ground, he used the contact to angle himself head on towards Littlepaw, fluffing out his fur.
Littlepaw's nervous energy radiated from him. The warrior saw it in his pawsteps. Cornpuff flinched. If this apprentice wanted to fight, most of all help in this battle, he needed to gain a massive boost of confidence. If he was already nervous, Cornpuff worried what might happen if he saw battle first-hand. Freezing in fright? Feinting?
It seemed the warrior was going to have to train at least one of their minds as well.

Okay, so it would probably be a lie to say that Shadefrost wasn't even a little weary about this whole sparring endeavor. There were too many ways it could go bad for him. And no, this wasn't because of the possibility of him losing to someone that was weaker. On the contrary, it was far from it. For starters, that outcome was highly unlikely, and there was no doubt in Shade's mind that he could break the she-cat with little to no effort if he so chose to. He was more worried about going too far.
For some odd reason, the tom had a tendency to let his impulses get the better of him, which in turn lead to him getting dumped into a forest of trouble. Today he was trying to see how not to repeat those mistakes. The most he could think to do without risking Dawnstar's ire, was subdue the molly through minimal damage. A plan that was relatively foreign to his way of fighting, but he supposed it couldn't hurt to try.
Hmm. Correction, he'd start trying after this. Ensuring that clanmates of equal rank didn't get hurt was far too exhausting, especially when they were just asking to get sat on and whacked in the face.
Wearing the same tiny smile, Shadefrost watched the molly with an intent stare, now plotting how to best embarrass her for her impudence. He decided it best to activate his Sharinga- I mean Agatha Kitty Purk seeing as how when he was done with whatshername, whatshisname would probably try to take a go at him next. Not that wasting time wasn't fun or anything (it wasn't), he just didn't have the mental capacity to deal with kits playing at being warriors.
After a few moments the molly made her move. Swiping an unsheathed paw at his face. It was a simple one, so Shade didn't have to do much to evade it. A simple step backwards was enough to suffice. Once the attack had passed harmlessly by him, he took a paw and scooped up a clump of dirt before flinging it toward his opponents eyes.

A play not usually used in sparring, but she could recognize the merit. Dust and dirt sprayed across her face, lodging in her eye hole and causing her to grimace. That would be extremely annoying to clear out later. Luckliy for her, she was able to twist her face away so most of the dirt went to her left side, leaving her one good eye on the right dirt-free. It still caused her to pause briefly, but she recovered quickly enough. Closing the distance between them was not hard, a single stride putting her right in his face. Ducking down low, Mistlewhisker surged upwards, ramming her skull into Shadefrost's jaw.
Moonmeadow with a huff threw their shoulder towards the ground, ducking their head to roll their body and attempt to throw the apprentice off the way that they warned him they would,
"Think fast! What do you do?"
(Short sorry!!!! Also If you ever see me active and I haven't replied in a day, feel free to bump me! Its likely that I didn't see this is all o7)
NightWolf was more than willing to help train the apprentices who need battle training but as there were more warriors than apprentices he didnt think he'd have the chance, instead he will just find whoever is available to spar against
Anyone without a partner to fight NightWolf is here and ready
