Mikadopaw skidded to a halt panted tiredly. He was late like always, Foxtail would have said.
The apprentice pricked his is ears and listened closely for any signs of prey. "Well obviously Ive scared them off." he muttered angrily at himself, kicking up several leaves.
He picked up a scent and turned towards a shrew. He smiled, it hadn't noticed him yet.
Easy prey.
He slowly crept forwards, advancing on the soon to be fresh kill. As he prepared to pounce, a loud yowl erupted from the distance. Surprised he turned towards the sound and the shrew scattered away.
"Foxdung.. Ill just go look for another." he sighed.
