Once her healing was done she slunk back to her den, gaze blurred with tears and a slight limp on her front right paw. She acknowledged the droplets of blood on the ground…from when she came in to get Shalls. Right before…exile. All her fault…all her fault. She didn’t want to see any of her siblings right now…Shalls was nice company on her way there but…a question caused her head to throb and she couldn’t ignore it. Who could she trust?…She didn’t want a new mentor…at least not one she didn’t know. Why her?…. She flopped over in her nest and covered her face with her tail as tears fell. Stupid…stupid clueless her.

Aspenpaw had just recently returned from his herb gathering patrol and felt pretty proud of himself. Sure he hadn't brought back much but what he had brought back would be used to help his injured clanmates and that was enough for him. Aspenpaw walked toward the freshkill pile picking out a snack for himself, eat now and train after. He needed the energy after all. As he picked out a small but still plump robin from the pile, a nearby conversation caught his attention. That was the second time he'd heard something about an exile and bad training. Come to think of it he kept hearing one of his denmates names being murmured around, if his memory was tricking him Crowpaw had seemed quite fine before he left camp.

As if his thoughts had summoned her, crowpaw made an appearance. She looked upset, like really upset! That and she was walking with a slight limp. What had happened while he'd been gone? Aspenpaw's previous smile that seemed to always be on his face slipped into a frown of concern. He may not know his den mate that we'll or have even talked to her before but he was still worried, something had happened to upset his usually optimistic den mate and that wasn't okay. After a moments hesitation he followed the dark furred she cat into the apprentices den where she had already sunken into her nest.

What was he doing...

Aspenpaw knew for a fact he could be awkward in normal interactions and even more so when the cats he was interacting with were sad! He had no clue how to deal with others emotions and usually avoided it. He debated turning tail and leaving Crowpaw alone....

"Hi.." he greeted quietly as he slowly approached the fellow apprentice, finally making up his mind. He dropped the small robin next crowpaw and nudged it towards her. He sat down trying keep a comfortable amount of distance between himself. "You okay? You seem a bit shaken up."
