ShimmeringSmoke stopped in the nursery just to see. See what the kit's are doing. Then, she caught one of them asking the other if they should sneak out. She silently walked up to them and then spoke. "Don't. Even. Think. About. Speaking. Out." She said. "You guys might get in trouble." She looked back and tried to spot NightShiver. "NightShiver!" Her voice wasn't too loud, she didn't want to wake anyone up. "These kits are thinking of sneaking out." @Goldkit @Shanmo11 @Estelle

Hearing Dawnstar's voice come from the nursery as she passed by was not something Mistlewhisker expected. She slowed, glancing at the nursery in mild surprise. She knew her mate kept her kits in her own den, but perhaps one had snuck into the nursery and was causing problems. She did sound like she was scolding someone. Not thinking much of it, Mistlewhisker returned to her normal pace, meandering towards the prey pile. But she barely got a few tail lengths away when hissing reached her ears. She once again turned to the nursery, eye narrowed in suspicion. It was rare to hear a commotion like this from the nursery.

Mistlewhisker strode back towards the burrow, shouldering her way in and searching for the cause of the noise. As her one eye adjusted to the dim light, she could see two kittens glaring daggers at each other and Nightshiver, who was looking considerably more irritated than usual. That was something new. "Do we have an issue here?" The Deputy meowed, her melodic voice dangerously quiet. Thistleblaze was here, but he didn't seem to be causing an issue so she ignored him. "One would think two little ones were arguing. But look at you, you are practically apprentice-aged." The empty socket where her left eye used to be seemed to absorb the little light in the den, making her shadows grow. "You should know better than to speak in such a way to your den mother. Behave yourselves." She didn't threaten to send them away, or to delay their ceremonies. She knew her presence usually was intimidating enough.

Oh that was it. The queen was patient, she could deal with a tantrum, but she would not accept violence. Placing herself squarely between the two kittens so they couldn't reach each other, she leaned down to pick Porcupinekit up but the scruff and - if successful - set him down in a nearby nest.
"You.. do not. Fight."
She scolded, looking between the two kittens.
"Time. Out. Both... of you. Clear... your heads."
If they didn't stop these tantrums soon, she might have to ask Dawnstar to delay both of their apprentice ceremonies. They didn't appear quite ready for it at this time.

What the hell? Thistleblaze was about to walk away when he heard them trying to fight. Then Mistlewhisker showed up, warning the kits. Never thought a kit argument would get bad enough that the deputy herself had to show up. Well, now that the fighting was (hopefully) over, he could leave. But then the kits instantly tried to sneak out again! While they were in earshot! "You literally just got yelled at by the deputy and now you're trying to sneak out again. Amazing. You're almost apprentice aged, you should know a whole lot better. Do you want Mistlewhisker to fetch Dawnstar? She'll be a lot less merciful on you." he sternly mewed. "Mistlewhisker, Nightshiver, come back over here!" Thistleblaze called, noting the other cat there. 4 cats had just caught these two sneaking out twice and fighting. It was enough to make Nightshiver pretty annoyed, which was not something that happened often, from what he could tell.
