With the burdock gathered, Hollowpaw trailed behind Spiderthroat returning to the quarantine camp, feeling a little like his head was going to explode. Not from information overload, but more like his head was pounding and a poppy seed sounded just so good right now. He won't rely on it though.
He's not really expecting the deputy to call for cats to gather to them if they felt sick - why couldn't they decide to do that all on their own? That should be something cats were perfectly capable of. And, annoyingly, Spiderthroat wants to examine him first.
"'m fine," he says, brows furrowed and not meeting the deputies eyes. He really wanted nothing more than to go to sleep, but he wouldn't let himself. He has a job to do, damn it! So, he turns his attention over to the first in line: Brindlepaw. "We just got some burdock. 'M gonna put these juices on it," He's not really asking as he starts chewing up one of the four roots they'd gathered and carefully squeezing the juices onto the bites.
"I think that should be good..." he mutters mostly to himself once he'd finished. "We're prob'ly gonna need more roots... if you're feelin' up to it," a glance to Spiderthroat with that. Once they had a few able bodied warriors.

Well...this camp felt as though it was getting smaller and smaller. Taking a second to gaze at those around him before rolling his head, lobbing his shoulders so they'd crack. "Alright you lot. Cmere. If you're feelin worse than you think you should lemme take a look at ya. Hollowpaw too, you'll get examined first an than if you're up for it I'll have you help me out." he stated, slapping the cold dirt beside him. He didn't have too much experience but he'd like to help eleviate the pain somehow.
"Single file. One at a time I'm a decent healer but I ain't a miracle worker. May need some of you to help expand the nests, grab sm moss and maybe even some additional herbs too if you seem fit enough."
[ If your brat isn't sick leave me a VM ! Just nabbed the TC mass mention uwu ]
Cypress’paw shuddered as he stood up. It felt cold, so cold without cuddling himself up in his own normally-plushy fur that now was plastered to his scrawny body in clumps. He may as well go up, it wasn’t like his mentor would make him any worse or anything, if that was even possible. So he settled himself in the line and lifted his head as much as he could manage, set his jaw in a defiant matter. Defiant not at someone specifically, but this starclan-forsaken sickness. It wasn’t fair other cats got to get better but he was stuck here feeling like he would die all the time. It isn’t their fault I guess, he supposed.
He vaguely heard Spiderthroat say something about lining up if they felt worse.
Hmmm, does he feel worse?
Probably.
He is only really getting up to eat(and clean himself, he refuses to look even more like garbage than he already does right now).
Orangepaw probably won't get out of this, so might as well head over.
The tabby gets up and lines up.
Now getting over to Spiderthroat was the real issue here given walking was seemingly not an option anymore. It was taxing on three legs already and even sick Mudhound had BULK to carry, and with how exhausted, sore, and shaky this sickness made them moving around was increasingly just not a thing.
The hornet managed to get up and take a couple steps over to him in this case, wincing as the rat bite on their paw stung, but soon enough thumped down to a flop wheezing and coughing as they panted from the effort. A rather sad sight from the strength and endurance fighter who was known for just shaking off issues, and the tripods beaming grin was shaky as they tried to not freak out anyone who saw that.
"Hey -gasp- Spider-dude! Sick -gasp- is awful! Also -gasp- paw rat -gasp- bite hurts."
It was probably something to deal with now before it became infected, especially given how an infection on top of illness could easily be too much for a body to take at this junction, for any cat.
@Starfall (besides a dirty rat bite from the incident that needs healing muddy is just kinda really sick and weak)

"We went out 'n got some burdock while you were playin' Clan Lore Keeper," Hollowpaw states as Mudhound wanders over to both deputy and medicine cat weakly. They manage to keep a lot of their buoyancy, though, which is surprising given how that small trek into the territory to get the damn herbs had made Hollowpaw's head spin. It still spun now, but he pushed through regardless.
"Don't have nothing for your sick, though." It's pathetic, the medicine cat thinks to himself as he snatches one of the few roots he'd managed to find and begins to chew the juices out of it. It's pathetic to see cats that were normally the life-blood of ThunderClan, like Mudhound and Wolfhive, reduced to dumb puddles on the ground.
He does not warn the hornet before he squeezes the burdock juices onto the rat bite, wishing he had cobweb or something to make sure those juices stayed where they needed to be, but this would do for now. "There. No infections." He says it like a command, but all the same Mudhound should be alright... probably.

For once she was awake and not lying down on the ground in some sort of restless sleep. Though it appeared she was in some sort of daze, blank gaze just staring ahead of her. Her head felt too foggy for any thought to roll on through so she sat there slumped in her spot just staring ahead of herself. It was a miracle that she had the strength to sit up like she was now but here she was. Sunpaw was quick to snap out of her daze when hearing the deputy call for everyone to line up, for what she had forgotten. She blearily saw her brother going up to the calico tom, so she guessed it wasn't anything bad. With a lot more effort than she'd like to admit she got up on her paws and shuffled her way to join her sibling and the older tom.
A few hacking coughs escaped her maw as she plopped her bottom half on the ground like before. She brought up a paw to wipe away the bloody discharge that had been running out of her nose, ew. "I...got" she lost her train of thought for a moment before gaining it back a few moments later. "Bite on my paws and the icky feeling won't go 'way" why did she have to move, it was tiring to move all she felt like doing lately was sleeping. The paw hadn't even felt any kind of appetite to eat anything that was brought to the makeshift camp. Unlike her brother, when she had energy she had gone into the trouble of trying to groom herself. After all, father had gone to the trouble of trying to tidy her fur before they all got moved to this place. She wouldn't let his hard work go to waste and would not try to keep up appearances.

Next on the chopping block, ahem, next in line was Sunpaw, an apprentice who had shared a den with his sister but had never shared one with him. Hollowpaw sort of resented the apprentice for that, for getting to spend time with Bravepaw before she'd gotten sick, time that Hollowpaw should've spent with her instead but... but he'd been busy. Swept away by his new position and the overwhelming amount of stuff he had to learn. So he doesn't hide his scowl as the older apprentice tells Spiderthroat what's wrong with her.
"If the 'icky feeling' had gone away you'd be out of this camp before you can blink," he states curtly, doing a very poor job hiding his dislike for the apprentice. It isn't Sunpaw's fault what happened, he knows that... intellectually, at least, he knows... but he needs to blame someone, and Sunpaw's as good a target as any. "Give me your paws," he commands but doesn't wait for her before taking one of the remaining two burdock roots and chewing them up before spitting their juices onto the bites, his tongue starting to feel numb.

Following Sunpaw, Hollowpaw had turned around to have a small coughing fit, frowning as the paw he'd used to wipe his nose came away a little red. That's... not great... but there isn't much to be done about it right now, so he levels green-yellow gaze at Cypresspaw.
"What's up with you?" He asks bluntly, "rat bite? You know, the only issue in this camp I have the herbs to treat, or're you just sick?" He doesn't really mean to come across so snippy... that's just kinda how it happened. Spiderthroat, who's still beside him, can yell at him for his tone all he wants.
He vaguely heard Spiderthroat say something about lining up if they felt worse.
Hmmm, does he feel worse?
Probably.
He is only really getting up to eat(and clean himself, he refuses to look even more like garbage than he already does right now).

The tabby gets up and lines up.
"And you?" Hollowpaw asks as Orangepaw joins the queue of cats who either have rat bites or feel worse (that he can't even do anything for besides just like... note who feels worse).
Look at that, his turn already.
Would've much preferred to have been first, but, for once, he's keeping his ego to himself because this cat is treating him.
Orangepaw thinks of a way to describe it. "Well, moving, talking, even eating sometimes, all kinda sucks." As he spoke, he quickly realizes how gross he sounds. He hasn't spoken in a while(shockingly), and it still hurts to talk, but he sounds so... icky.
He moves on. "By sucks I mean I'm hurting. A lot. Like, I should not be allowed to feel this terrible." His ego slipped through at the end, but his brain is mush, who cares.
Well, she wasn't exactly wrong. Pinepaw settled down next to her, uselessly kneading the dirt. Why was he doing that? He had no answer. "...So... how's li-" a coughing fit interrupted him, searing his neck with pain and leaving no air in his lungs. His eyes began to tear up, and he just barely managed to stop the coughing. Reaching out, and grabbing the nearest piece of moss that was lying on the ground, he pressed it against his neck in an effort to stop the blood that was now spurting out of it. He sighed, grabbed the nearest materials, and began to weave a bandage for his neck, quickly wrapping the makeshift bandage around his neck to stop the bleeding.
"I'm fine... don't w-worry." Pinepaw said, gasping for air a little bit. Looking at Shockhoney's limp calico form, he prodded her. "Did you see that I saved you during the rat attack? That's where I... got this... from..." he was wheezing at the end of it, but managed to weakly gesture to his injured neck.
Shockhoney turned her face towards her companion as he broke into a coughing fit. She didn't even bother moving away, too tired. Her limbs felt like they were... coated in honey! Like she was trying to swim through honey. Besides, she was already sick, and miserable, and sad, and... depressed..? Was that what this felt like? She didn't seem to have anyone in her corner. No Mountaintalon, no Sporutfleck, no Creepingpaw (she wondered if he had gotten his warrior name yet, and since he wasn't here in the sick camp, that meant he was probably doing okay).
Her attention drifted back to Pinepaw as suddenly, there was blood. Turqoise eyes widen marginally, some semblance of clarity drifting in to the hazy depths. Her own maw opened to ask if he was okay, but he confirmed he was, and her gaze shifted to the bandage he'd made for himself, both impressed and intrigued. Pinepaw was quite crafty, it seemed. She meets his eyes again, this time a quiet guilt creeping in. "I... yes, I saw. I'm so sorry, this is my fault." Her shoulders slump further, ears pinning back, head lowering to press her muzzle apologetically against his shoulder. "Thank you. I'm sorry."
Here she was, complaining about not having anyone in her corner when someone she'd only spoken to a few times had put their life on the line, for her, no less.

Muddy being 'lorekeeper' was funny and, kinda loopy the tripod giggled to hard at the idea. To be a lorekeeper one would have to know history and the hornet barely even knew RECENT history. They had no clue why shadowclan had wanted the creek or why they hated riverclan for poisons and stuff, like even the relevant bits. They were just very very good at stories and knew some tall tales from random rogues of their youth.
"Not your fault on the sick." Mudhound coughed, grossly hacking up some phlem as they sniffed the burdock on their paw and proceeded to recoil and sneeze at the smell, nose wrinkling. "Oooh dont like that smell. Bad. Anyways not your fault on sick, prophecy cats need to hurry up." Seriously Mudhound did not like being stick in place, if they had any energy for it they'd be bouncing off the walls from boredom.
"No infections boss, promise. Gonna go nap."
The salute (with the herby paw) was kinda more of a flail before the hornet tried to move back over to an empty nest before kinda slumping over and seemingly deciding that the floor was good enough. Nap time.
After finishing up the bandage, he pinned his ears to the back of your head as she began to profusely apologize. "No, no, it's not... your fault." Pinepaw assured her. He smiled weakly at her, bending his head to lick the top of her forehead as she pressed her muzzle into his shoulder. "I'd die for you in a heartbeat. You're one of my only friends." he purred. She looked exhausted. Not the type of 'im sick' exhausted, more like 'i actually need to go to sleep' exhausted. "I think we both need... some rest. You can... lay on me... if you want. For support." he said, his voice beginning to slur a bit with exhaustion. He laid his head down next to her, pressing his muzzle against her cheek as the brown apprentice slowly drifted off to sleep. But he felt at home next to her warmth, her gentle breathing. He had to face the fact that he did have a real crush on her soon. But not yet.
