Mika rushed out of her housefolk's nest, as soon as the entrance swung open. Finally! She yowled, curling her lip as she heard her housefolk's monster wake up. She scurried away before it could catch her. Ha! She half hissed, half purred.

Bi-colored front paws stepped outside of a cat-door, soon followed by the rest of the tom. Aqua eyes were bright with excitement. He was sooooo glad his house-folk weren't strict! He shook out his pelt, and stretched. Sick! Hermes' ears perked as a strange sound came from nearby. What was that!? It didn’t sound like a dog or anything. He hopped onto the fence and peered down. Then he heard a 'Finally!', and saw the source of the voice. Oh, a neighbor! Was she new? He hadn't seen her around before. Hmmm. He's gotta investigate! Detective Hermes! Oh, that sounded better in his head. Wait. This was his head! What now? Did it sound better inside the inside? Maybe. Pushing away the trail of thoughts, he hopped down, landing a tail-length or two away from the she. "Hello, Darling!" Hermes called with a purr, seeming more collected than he was usually. First impressions, yeah? "Are you new? Haven't seen ya around!" He says, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws. Maybe she just wasn't out often. That's a possibility. He turned to glance over as a monster..er..his house-folk called 'em cars..whatever. As the car pulled away from the den. He turned back to the she-cat, waiting for a response with his usual mischievous grin.

Mika whipped around, startled to see an older tom. She showed her teeth, just in case he was a danger of any sort. I'm not new! She hissed, tilting her head. My housefolk are just stupid! She stifled a long sigh, wondering about the cats in the forest.
